Meet Kevin, a brindle Boxer mix who’s a laid-back kind of guy with a fun personality. He’s got plenty of play in him when the mood strikes, and with those big, expressive brown eyes, he’s perfected the art of asking for snacks without saying a word. We can’t confirm his chili recipe, but we suspect food is one of his love languages.
Kevin is perfectly content hanging out with another dog or having one-on-one time with his person. He’s not particularly demanding about how the day unfolds, although he does have some very strong opinions about mealtime. He walks nicely on a leash, keeps his kennel clean, and has earned himself a reputation as one of the biggest lovebugs at the rescue.
Kevin isn’t looking for a complicated life. Good company, good food, a little fun, and plenty of affection will suit him just fine.
Kevin is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment for heartworm disease. The Artemis Project will continue to provide the necessary monthly medication for treatment until cleared of heartworms.
---------------
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas.
We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.
Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.
Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.
MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION:

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.
The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.
Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!
