Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Do you have tennis balls, like a lot of them, if not will you buy some? If your answer is yes than you might be the home for me! See I am simple girl but I do require lots of tennis balls!! I like other toys but nothing gets me as excited as having tennis balls! My foster says I am just a happy gal, that is good with all people even kiddos! I am house broken, but I may have had a couple accidents but I am still recovering from taking care of my 5 babies for the last several weeks. They all have found their forever homes and now it’s my turn. I was a great mom but my foster promised I never ever have to do it again, which sounds perfect to me! I really love my foster home. See, I also get alone time and have my own room, I have adults and kids who play fetch with me a few times a day. They all helped me get better on the leash, to come when I was called, I am actually even starting to learn how to settle down and watch TV. I would probably like to stay here but they have some big dogs here, I just don’t like when they get in my way. My foster thinks I will much prefer to be the only dog in a home.  I think that is true at least to start. The cats here don’t bother me. Did I mention my NEED for tennis balls, oh I did, okay. Well that’s all for now. Let lastdaydogrescue.org know if you want to meet me by filling out an application. &#226&#128&#139 &#226&#128&#139 Click here to watch a video of Pu Litter Eevee (Mom).Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. December 5, 2025, 9:06 pm

Ollie is a young, active boy who loves to run around with other dogs. He enjoys attention from people. He gets along great with kids too. He would love an active family where ample exercise and mental stimulation will be provided. He wouldn't mind cleaning the floor under a highchair as his full-time job. He is being trained to walk on leash using a gentle leader. He is the best at it and would love to show you how well he does! He has visited our local assisted living center and just wanted to hug all of the residents and staff he met. He wants to please and is a good listener and a very sweet boy.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Citrus was living alone in an abandoned house with no doors or windows. We trapped her, and she got very upset. Citrus was growling for many many days, and did not allow any handling. She finally came around to trust us, and is now a loving sweetheart. Citrus wants an understanding foster-to-adopt home, who wants to baby her. She is estimated to be 2-4 years old, and a mix between English Bulldog and Boxer. Citrus has a classic cautious and disapproving yet personable English Bulldog personality, and the silly play style of a Boxer. We are looking for a household without children for Citrus. Leashed walks are fine, she does not require a fenced in yard. Citrus has dog friends at the shelter - but incorporating her into a home dynamic with other dogs will take weeks. If you are up for it, we can discuss. We cover all needed vet care. The adoption fee is $275. Please apply through our website: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt

Story
Blanche is a super sweet, gentle girl who is currently living in one of our amazing foster homes!! Here is a note from her foster:`Blanche is an 8 yo pit/lab mix that came to me as a foster 2 weeks ago. She is a delightful, sweet and tender girl that loves affection and relaxing strokes. She`s a bit shy initially but really blossoms when we go out exploring outside or in the woods...nose to the ground constantly sniffing and totally fascinated by everything going on around her. Her energy and curiosity belie her age. As she isn`t a very confident girl, she needs exposure to new things in a calm manner. She sleeps soundly through the night and does well on her own, gated in a bedroom, when I`m away from the house. She enjoys interactive play with me and chewing on her Nylabone or discovering treats in her Kong. She isn`t a morning eater and isn`t one to overeat. She gets tasty soft chews when we`re working on some commands like `come` or `quiet`. We`re still working on her loose leash walking skills but she is making so much progress!! She really loves the freedom she gets on the 25` long line when we`re exploring. This beautiful soul is hoping for a forever home in the near future. She brings joy to those around her everyday and can`t wait to snuggle with you!”Adopting from foster is easy!
