SHATTER IS BEING HELD BY A PRIVATE OWNER - PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT SILVER LAKE! I’m looking for a nice home for my 2 1/2 year old pitbull/boxer.. I can’t afford my trailer anymore so I’m having to move back with my parents and my father is allergic to dogs. I didn’t wanna put Shatter in a shelter because I was scared they would put him down if they didn’t find a home for him. He is such a good boy… it’s been me and him for 2 1/2 years and this breaks my heart and I’m hoping to find a good home for him… my three-year-old niece absolutely loves him!!! He’s had some training. He’s also been neutered and he has all his vaccinations and is microchipped. My phone number is 248-971-9570. My name is Amanda and I will anxiously be waiting to hear from you.,,,, Serious adopters only, please! Personality traits Friendly, Smart

This is Penny. She's about 6 years old. She loves treats and belly rubs. I call her a Velcro dog because she MUST be near me or someone at all times. She's a great cuddler too and loves to play. Thee main reason she's being put up for adoption is most places, i.e. apartments, do not allow large dogs and if they do, they don't allow her breed. She's a great dog who needs a loving home.

Story
Hi there, I`m Remi! I may be a bit shy when we first meet, but once I get to know you, I`m a playful and loving companion. I absolutely adore playing with toys, and I`m always up for a game of fetch.I get along really well with other dogs and love having a furry friend to play with. While I`m not too interested in cats, I`m always open to making new friends, especially if they`re as playful as me!I`m a quick learner and already know how to sit and shake for treats. I`m also really good at taking treats gently. However, I can be a bit possessive of high-value treats, so I could use some training in sharing. I also need some help with leash walking, but with a little guidance, I know I`ll get the hang of it!I would love to find a patient and loving family who will help me build my confidence. A home with a secure yard where I can play and explore would be amazing. I thrive on love and structure, so a family willing to provide me with positive training and lots of affection would be perfect for me.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. To help speed up the application process, it is recommended that you complete the online application form found at the link below.https://animalcontrol.macombgov.org/AnimalControl-AdoptionApplicationMy adoption fee is SPONSORED!

Story
We got Zoey as a puppy from a rescue shelter. She has always been a lovable dog. However, she is very needy and has a ton of energy! She loves to play fetch and can run for hours. She is great around anyone including kids because all she wants is love and affection. Unfortunately, she has become too much for us to handle due to my wifes pregnancy and a very active toddler. We feel that it's best if we can find her a home that can give her the love and attention that she needs. Zoe is not spayed, but she does have an appointment coming up in May.

Story
Hi, my name is Tatum. Aren’t I a handsome guy? I am the goodest boy too and I am looking for the best forever family to find me. I hope it is yours. TATUM IS URGENT AS HIS FOSTER MOTHER HAS HEALTH ISSUES AND WANTS TO MAKE SURE HE GETS TO HIS FOREVER FAMILY SOON. Tatum has a very sad story. His first people apparently dumped him off in a neighborhood way away from home and the people there were not too happy about it. They abused him and even shot him several times but since he had nowhere to go, he stayed there until a good Samaritan called the rescue. He was so frightened of people that it took almost two hours to convince him to get into the car. He was hungry, dirty and in so much pain that he finally got in the car and headed to a better life. Tatum has made so much progress! He is a very happy dog, loves people and craves attention. He adores hiking, walks and best of all – car rides! He is a bit protective of his people but once he is introduced to new people, he pretty much loves everyone. So far he has shown himself to be good with kids but due to his size we would prefer a home with older kids. He is also good with other dogs if they are introduced slowly. He walks great on a leash, knows some commands. He can be high energy and jumps a bit but respects structure and is a quick learner. Tatum's is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm prevention and Brevecto. This is much too great a dog to not have his own family. Please click on the big, black button and “Ask About Me” so we can have a chat about this fabulous guy! Tatum is being cared for in Tennessee but not to worry because we transport to a destination near you with Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Gypsy was a stray. A man in Raymond, Mississippi found her and took her to the pound. They were going to euthanize her, and he took her home. She did not like his cats, so he surrendered her to us. She LOVES to run and play, and she needs a lot of exercise. She does good with most all dogs, but she is shy when she meets new people. Gypsy does not like cats! Once she warms up to people, she just wants to give kisses! Her ideal home would be a person or family that has a large yard for her to run and play in. She would be the best dog to do activities with or just cuddle with on the couch. She should be fine in a large, fenced yard. She can be hyper at times but settles down nicely inside with a chew toy. Gypsy is in boarding now, and she desperately needs a forever family!! We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
HELLO! My name is Butters though my foster mom loves to call me Butt Butt. Do you want to play fetch? I love to show off by running around outside, chasing toys but then come inside for cuddle time and watch TV. Do you like paw patrol? I do! My foster mom taught me how to sit, shake, come when called, learning the Find-it game, and we are working to redirect my enthusiasm when greeting new people or trying to get their attention I LOVE meeting new people! I’m affectionate from the get-go. I’m so smart, too! Treat motivated, and I take those treats gently, curious, and want to learn new things. I’m good at the vet’s office, being handled, and on car rides. Though I should be safely secured so I don’t try to take the wheel. While I live in a foster home with two other dogs, I would prefer to have humans all to myself. A lot of dogs don't like my enthusiasm. Forever Home: I’m a wee pocket pitty just lookin’ for a person/couple that wants a bestie to have fun and cuddles with. I’d like to be able to sleep in bed with you as I love curling right up against my people to sleep. I’m moving into my teenage phase so I do need guidance and additional training to help me become the amazing companion I’m meant to be. I’ve got so much love to give to humans who adopt me. Good With Kids: Did well with kids he's met. Suggest older kids. Good With Other Dogs: Yes, not a big fan of high energy dogs Good With Cats: Unknown. Uninterested in squirrels so might like cats. Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes when wearing harness. Knows Basic Commands: Mostly Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate Special Needs: Ear cleansing to avoid infections. Current getting every other week nail trims to shorten the quicks to obtain better standard nail length. Physical Fence: Ideal but would likely do well on tie-out or walks. Favorite Activity: Nap on the couch with favorite blanket and neck rubs. Arrival story: Junior was found on the streets of Detroit by a good Samaritan who provided a safe place and vet care prior to arriving at Waggin' Tails. Approximate age / Weight: 8ish yrs old and 55 lbs. Personality: Junior is super sweet, loving and is just happy to be by your side. He loves destroying stuffed toys, chewing on Benebones, and noshin' on stuffed Kongs or lick mats. Our boy is super super food motivated and his tail rarely stops wagging. He enjoys a romp in the yard, a walk around the block, a car ride, and most of all a nap on the couch with his favorite blanket. He’ll curl up next to you and loves tushy and neck rubs best. Junior is house trained and crate trained, is content being on his own for periods of time, is a champ at the vet, and is getting better at his routine ear washes and nail trims – he never hated them, just doesn’t want to sit still for them. Nicknames: Junie, June Bug, Uncle June, the list could go on. You call, he comes. Smart boy is learning the basic queues (like sit) and has excellent recall, doing well keeping eyes on his handler in one-on-one training class, not barking at other dogs on leash. Junior takes treats quickly so little kids may not be best match to live day-to-day but he's met younger kids and been great with them. Forever Home: Junior is filled with tons of love to give his next family and will quickly become your best bud! While pretty low maintenance and not really up for big adventures he sure does enjoy a car ride and walks and would love nothing more than to be your partner in crime!
