Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **UPDATE**     Blaze is a ball of energy and a cuddle bug! On the go 24/7 and would be great in a home with lots of exercise and a big backyard to run and play. Due to his past, he is animal reactive and needs training and someone patient to work with him. His loves his canine brother and sister but will need supervised and slow introductions to any new dogs. He needs to be in a home with teens and up. He is a puppy always ready for a walk! He loves his toys and treats. His ball is his favorite toy! Blaze was found in freezing temps in the park, underweight and cold. He is around 9 months old. If you are an early bird, he is for you. Ready for zoomies and walks as soon as he is up and always ready to be active. Loves toys, treats, and attention. Best for kids 12 and up due to being hyper and jumping. Blaze is a smart boy and has already learned to sit within a week. He loves to cuddle with his fur siblings and play all day. Did I mention he loves to talk?! He has separation anxiety and a little bit of fear anxiety and will do well with a patient family who will have the time to spend with him and mostly be home or with him. Car rides can still be scary for him, so giving him short rides to get him used to it is helping. He is a jumper, so a fence in yard is preferable. He will be your shadow and give you lots of love!   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 31, 2026, 2:13 pm

My Granddaughter left him behind and unfortunately I can't care for him. Bruce is a Great Dog, he loves to cuddle, play he is definitely family dog he loves people and kids. The only problem he has is that he love to jump he is a little hyper, I'm sure it will stop the more he gets older. Myself if I was younger I wouldn't be writing this I'm going on 70 years old and my Husband has Parkinson's Disease, we just can't care for him. Just so you know he is a Pit-Boxers he's a nice looking puppy. All I can say who ever take him are getting a Great Puppy Dog.

Story
Can go to my forever home on 9/3 🕷️🕸️ Every hero needs a best friend—meet Ned! 🕸️🕷️ Hi, I’m Ned! I may not know Peter Parker’s biggest secret (yet), but I do know how to be the best sidekick a family could ask for. I’m an adorable Boxer/Bully mix puppy with a superpower for making everyone I meet fall in love with me. My tail never stops wagging and I’ve got kisses for anyone who’ll take them! ❤️ I was surrendered to rescue with my siblings after my family could no longer care for us. Now I’m safe in foster care and loving every minute of it. I’m sweet, happy-go-lucky, and love absolutely everyone I meet—I’m great with kids, cats, and other dogs. 🐶🐱👧 My daily routine is pretty heroic: a little playtime, a little naptime, and plenty of puppy adventures. 😴💥 I greet every day (and every person) like it’s the best one yet. My foster home has been amazing, but every sidekick needs their hero. I’m ready to find my forever family and start the next chapter of my story. 🕷️❤️ If you think I could be your perfect BFF, please fill out an adoption application! With great puppy power comes great responsibility… and lots of wags and kisses! 🕸️🐾 Adoption fee: $400 (includes age appropriate vaccinations, neuter, microchip, and fecal testing) Adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPH/Dog

Story
Hello there! My name is Manny/Chip! I am the most handsomest Boxer/Lab mix ever!! And my personality is just as attractive! I was given a chance at a new life when Artemis pulled me from the pound – they were going to euthanize me, can you believe it?!?! Well, now I’m safe… and full of hope as I anxiously await that loving family that is out there for me. A little about me: * I was born around 9/04/21 * I weigh about 55lbs * I’m already neutered * I’m heartworm negative and UTD on vaccines and preventatives! * I LOVE playing ball and getting belly rubs. * Hanging out with my person is my most favorite thing * I promise – I would make you a GREAT canine buddy!! Please give me a chance to win your heart and become your best friend forever! I really need to find my new family… that very well may be you! Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

These pups are in Northville, Michigan too!

Good With Kids: Kids over 12 Good With Other Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: No Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: No Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes Knows Basic Commands: Yes Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate to Low Special Needs: Physical Fence: N/A Favorite Toy / Activity: Cuddling on the couch and/or sun-bathing. Arrival story: Loved dearly by her family, Beta is seeking a new home due to changes in their circumstances. Approximate age / Weight: About 6 yrs old / 65 lbs. Personality: Beta is a 6-year-old pibble mix with a heart as big as her love for couch snuggles. If you sit down, she’s already planning how to sit with you—preferably touching. She lives for being close to her people and feels happiest when she’s included in everyday life, whether that is lounging in a sunny spot, supervising chores, or greeting guests like long-lost friends she’s thrilled to finally meet. She’s friendly and likes other dogs. Probably smarter than a 5th grader, you’ll want to keep her brain busy with enrichment toys and puzzles 😊. Beta has good house manners and is a generally easygoing gal… as long as her humans are nearby. When left alone too long, she can get anxious and may express her feelings through some light redecorating. Right now, she lives with a family that while home often there is a toddler making Beta anxious with his unpredictable movements and loud noises. Speaking of, she’s a great watchdog. Hears everything and wants to know what is going on. Cats? Hard pass. Beta says that’s a boundary. New Home: Beta is looking for a home where she doesn’t have to wonder where her people went. An adopter who works from home, is retired, or is around most of the day would be her dream come true. She’d love a home with another friendly dog, but she’d also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only shadow. Her ideal humans want a dog who is deeply affectionate, excited to greet friends, and happiest just being part of the daily rhythm of life. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will warm your couch, your heart, and every sunny spot in your house—Beta might just be your girl. 🐾💛 CONTACT: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application.
