You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Do you have tennis balls, like a lot of them, if not will you buy some? If your answer is yes than you might be the home for me! See I am simple girl but I do require lots of tennis balls!! I like other toys but nothing gets me as excited as having tennis balls! My foster says I am just a happy gal, that is good with all people even kiddos! I am house broken, but I may have had a couple accidents but I am still recovering from taking care of my 5 babies for the last several weeks. They all have found their forever homes and now it’s my turn. I was a great mom but my foster promised I never ever have to do it again, which sounds perfect to me! I really love my foster home. See, I also get alone time and have my own room, I have adults and kids who play fetch with me a few times a day. They all helped me get better on the leash, to come when I was called, I am actually even starting to learn how to settle down and watch TV. I would probably like to stay here but they have some big dogs here, I just don’t like when they get in my way. My foster thinks I will much prefer to be the only dog in a home.  I think that is true at least to start. The cats here don’t bother me. Did I mention my NEED for tennis balls, oh I did, okay. Well that’s all for now. Let lastdaydogrescue.org know if you want to meet me by filling out an application. &#226&#128&#139 &#226&#128&#139 Click here to watch a video of Pu Litter Eevee (Mom).Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. December 5, 2025, 9:06 pm

Story
Hi my name is Stan! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. Once I get more comfortable, I will come out of my shell and start to show more of my true personality. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an adoption survey online or in the shelter. I’m looking for a lowkey household without any young kids or cats so I can be your main focus. I can get nervous when I first meet someone, it’d be best for me to meet my potential dog siblings before I go home.

Story
Ollie is a young, active boy who loves to run around with other dogs. He enjoys attention from people. He gets along great with kids too. He would love an active family where ample exercise and mental stimulation will be provided. He wouldn't mind cleaning the floor under a highchair as his full-time job. He is being trained to walk on leash using a gentle leader. He is the best at it and would love to show you how well he does! He has visited our local assisted living center and just wanted to hug all of the residents and staff he met. He wants to please and is a good listener and a very sweet boy.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Betsy is a FUN dog who loves to be with other dogs, maternal and bouncy. She is not aggressive or bossy but does have a bark and her terrier DNA comes out when meeting new smaller dogs. She has spent most of her time with bigger dogs and enjoys being the 'shortie' of the playgroup. Betsy is not food motivated, nibbles through the day, but has managed to become a bit fluffy. 50 lb dog now, she loves car rides, water! and sunbathing. Betsy is spayed, up to date on vaccines and very health - a bit fluffy as she has matured, now 4 years old. Her breed had been a guess until now! a donated DNA test revealed the classic Houston mutt mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, Lab, Boxer, German Shepherd, Shar Pei, Chow Chow. She is a short dog with medium double coat and a sharp mind. YouTube Video (meet Betsy): https://youtu.be/pGvcZikCFFc FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Email to Apply! Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org --------------------------------------------------- Visit our Social Media to see more of our dogs! https://www.facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX History: Betsy came to another rescue with nursing puppies in June of 2023. She has been fostered with kids, other dogs and in a house/apartment. She is crate trained and loves routine - literally bounces up and down, runs outside then back into her crate to nap. She would benefit from a yard due to her energy.

Story
Good With Kids: Did well with kids he's met. Suggest older kids. Good With Other Dogs: Yes, not a big fan of high energy dogs Good With Cats: Unknown. Uninterested in squirrels so might like cats. Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes when wearing harness. Knows Basic Commands: Mostly Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate Special Needs: Ear cleansing to avoid infections. Current getting every other week nail trims to shorten the quicks to obtain better standard nail length. Physical Fence: Ideal but would likely do well on tie-out or walks. Favorite Activity: Nap on the couch with favorite blanket and neck rubs. Arrival story: Junior was found on the streets of Detroit by a good Samaritan who provided a safe place and vet care prior to arriving at Waggin' Tails. Approximate age / Weight: 8ish yrs old and 55 lbs. Personality: Junior is super sweet, loving and is just happy to be by your side. He loves destroying stuffed toys, chewing on Benebones, and noshin' on stuffed Kongs or lick mats. Our boy is super super food motivated and his tail rarely stops wagging. He enjoys a romp in the yard, a walk around the block, a car ride, and most of all a nap on the couch with his favorite blanket. He’ll curl up next to you and loves tushy and neck rubs best. Junior is house trained and crate trained, is content being on his own for periods of time, is a champ at the vet, and is getting better at his routine ear washes and nail trims – he never hated them, just doesn’t want to sit still for them. Nicknames: Junie, June Bug, Uncle June, the list could go on. You call, he comes. Smart boy is learning the basic queues (like sit) and has excellent recall, doing well keeping eyes on his handler in one-on-one training class, not barking at other dogs on leash. Junior takes treats quickly so little kids may not be best match to live day-to-day but he's met younger kids and been great with them. Forever Home: Junior is filled with tons of love to give his next family and will quickly become your best bud! While pretty low maintenance and not really up for big adventures he sure does enjoy a car ride and walks and would love nothing more than to be your partner in crime! Contact: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application.
