Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Clover is sweet, affectionate and funny. Her estimated DOB is 3/18/21. When she wants attention she does a silly sideways forward walk. I often say she has “wiggly butt” as she is constantly wagging her tail and wiggling her butt. Clover is house trained and crate trained. Her crate is her safe space and she often wanders in there to rest or take a nap. She’s happy in her crate when it’s time for bed and settles in nicely without whining.    Clover is a real lover. One of Clover's favorite activities is getting belly rubs. Often times when I approach her, she will roll onto her back expecting a belly rub. She also loves resting her head in your lap as you rub her ears and she stares into your eyes.   We have a resident dog and she plays well with her. They love to chase each other around the backyard. We do not have a cat so cannot say how she would do with one. Given her interest in squirrels when we go for a walk, I am guessing it would be a no go for a cat.   Clover has been through a lot in her life and is now waiting for her forever home. She has been a mama, had multiple surgeries such as; tail amputations from her "happy tails," a surgery for an intestinal obstruction and a surgery to repair her knee. She is fully healed and just a normal, healthy, happy dog waiting for her forever home. Would Clover make a great addition to your family? Fill out the application and we can talk more.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
Poe is an incredibly handsome, fun, happy boy. He is a really nice dog who found himself looking for a new home.Poe is a 4 year old boxer cross. He does well with other dogs of all sizes. He has done well with the cats in his foster home, but it was reported that he did not do well with them in his previous home. He is really sweet with the humans he meets and he has been a total gentleman to the 3 kids in his foster family (12,10,& 3). He is wonderful in the house and crates beautifully. Poe's ideal family is an active one that will include him in all the festivities. He loves to run with his foster dad and would make a great training buddy! He would also make a stellar obedience or agility companion. He has a great drive and good work ethic.Poe is going to bring such joy to his new family!Poe has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his vaccinations. He has also tested negative for heartworm disease. His adoption fee is $300.00 plus sales tax. Please submit an adoption application if you would like to learn more about and meet this great boy!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.12/6 Update from foster mom:  Dora figured out her new name very fast (because, when you’re dumped on the side of the road, the one the shelter gave you was totally new to you) and comes right when called. Dora has learned that cats are not for chasing or wrestling with and will give them a sniff or two and keep on moving. Dora is a mature gal, who has the beginnings of DM, so she does need a few accommodations to help her live her best life. While Dora can do stairs, keeping them to a minimum is ideal. Dora can lose her traction on tile/hard floors, so the more carpet/carpet runners, the better. After a long day, Dora can need a little help standing up from her doggie bed to go out for the last time. She just needs a few seconds to get her balance, and she’s ready to run outside and do her business before heading to bed. _____________________________________________Dora is doing so well. She’s settled in very nicely, and is finally giving the cats some space. Phew! She’s such a good girl. Very easy going and laid back. Unless she’s on a walk and another dog goes by…then she gets a little spicy towards Sadie, our other dog walking wiuth her. Nothing crazy, but good to know. She’s clearly feeling much better than when she first arrived. Her stomach seems pretty settled, thankfully. Her DM (degenerative myelopathy) is worst at nighttime when she’s tired. She needs a lot of help getting up to go out for the last time each night. But she’s ready to rock the next morning and runs down the stairs to start the new day!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2023, 10:52 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Breeder release - puppy mill mamaHi all! My name is Cinder sometimes CinderBinder! I'm learning all kinds of new stuff. Like did you know there is something called a dog bed! It's just for dogs. Blew my mind away....I'm learning that's it's a nice place to lay on. And also leashes! They keep me safe when out walking. I love going on walks & will walk nicely by your side. I sleep in a kennel. It makes me feel nice & safe. This whole having to 'think' about going potty is weird to me. When I have to go I go..... I do get brought to the same spot outside & will nicely go potty. I don't like to go 1 & 2 during the same trip though. It takes me 2 trips out. A girl needs to have her standards & the opportunity to do some more sniffing! I also have learned how to beg! Did you know that when you stare(politly) at someone who is eating they will give you some. Another mind blowing revaluation. Being touched/pet is still uncomfortable to me but I'm slowly getting comfortable with it. PS-Don't tell my humans that sometimes it feels so.....good! I would also like to have another dog in my forever home. I like to play & use my front paws. You do know I'm a Boxer right. I have met some kitties, they seem nice to me.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2023, 10:52 pm

Story
Billie is a very sweet lab/pit mix. She is lovable and affectionate and loves her people! Billie loves to run in the back yard and play with her toys. She really LOVES to go for walks! Billie is very smart and communicative with her people. She has learned to wait for permission to leave the house to go out to the back yard and responds reliably to sit and come here. Billie has an incredible memory but sometimes it gets in her way. She had a couple bad experiences at the groomer and now is very resistant to having her nails clipped. She also has been "attacked" a couple of times and now has significant fear of other dogs. This fear ends up looking like aggression BUT once she gets to know another dog she can tolerate and even enjoy them in very controlled situations. Billie is very sensitive to unpredictability and changes in her regular routine; she responds best to a calm and predictable home setting.
