She loves to play with other dogs although the older resident dog does tire out well before her. After all Billie does have a good bit of puppy energy. She ignores the cats but is pretty interested in what is in their food dishes. Billie is still working on establishing house training and is starting to get the hang of it.  Billie has been great with the 13yr old daughter in the home and loves to get as much human attention as she can. She also loves toys, especially ones that squeak.  Overall Billie is still a young girl with lots of love to give and things to learn she will be a great companion!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   or     *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Russell. He is a happy, friendly little fellow who loves everyone, kids and adults. Russell has known severe neglect, both physical and emotional. He craves attention from everyone around him, loves being petted, and having his chest and belly scratched. Because of this, he can get excited, bouncy, and a little mouthy. He is not a biter. If he senses you might be going to walk away from him he may take hold of your hand or clothes to keep you from leaving him. We’ve been working on it and he’s getting much better. He needs to be with older kids or adults. Russell doesn’t need to be around cats or small animals. He wants to chase them. He loves to play with other dogs as long as they don’t show him dominance behavior or aggression. He will react to that type of behavior. If they are friendly, he’s friendly. The starvation he’s endured has made him a little food aggressive toward other dogs. He’s getting better but it’s still advisable to feed him separately or in his crate and continue to work on it. On the surface, Russell appears to be a very active little guy. Most of that is seeking attention. If he can lay with you and be loved on, he will do that for as long as you’ll let him. He will ignore toys for human contact. Once Russell has a home of his own and consistent love and care, he will be a much calmer dog. Russell is crate trained. He needs to be taken out to the bathroom on a schedule as he doesn’t have a signal for going out yet. One plus, he still squats to urinate like a puppy and has shown no tendency to mark territory. He's looking for someone to love him after everything he's been through. Is that you? Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dental, dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate),  Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age , Bordetella vaccine, 4DX  (over 6 months of age) , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, I am Jackson! I’m a boxer/beagle mix born 12/17/22. I was found abandoned in a school in Kentucky and have since moved to the Big City! I am still learning my name but will gladly climb into your lap and cuddle while I work on that. I am still working on potty training and am not always sure about car rides until we are moving. I walk well on leash, and am generally curious about new experiences. I am definitely a typical puppy: friendly, energetic, love pets, cuddles and attention! I love other dogs and would love it if everyone played with me. I am very curious about the resident cat, but mostly because I want to chase him.   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   This is Tinkerbell! She came to us in pretty rough shape but she has worked SO hard and thrived!!! She had an injury when she arrived into rescue, and now she has healed - all that remains is a little hop to her step. She is an extremely loyal, loving, snuggly dog that does great with humans of all ages and cats but does need to live in a household where she can be the only dog. She does well with cats, as long as they respect her food - otherwise she'll chase them off! Tinkerbell can get along with other dogs but is pretty under-socialized from her previous owners, and is often misunderstood by other dogs. She is kennel, potty and leash trained. She knows how to sit, stay, shake, high five and is working on laying down. This girl is  sweet, loyal, playful, cuddly, silly (hopping like a bunny and snorting like a pig).  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the appropriate form below: redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms Redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com http://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org All dogs age appropriate vetted: Spayed or Neutered Rabies vaccine DHPP vaccine 4DX test (@8 months or older) Microchipped Dewormed Flea/tick prevention Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 25, 2023, 11:04 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Martha came all the way from a pound in Texas! One of our colleagues saw her picture on a site and had to help her. She had mange and was set to be euthanized in the coming days. Well Joy, decided to intervene! She decided to drive to Texas and rescue this pretty girl and give her life and a future! Pretty amazing stuff! Martha is now up in Minnesota in her foster home and doing really well. She is on meds for her skin and getting better day by day. She is gaining weight, and is loving life now. She gets along great with Joy's 3 other small dogs and we can cat test her if needed. Be sure to check out the photo in her bio that shows her Embark breed analysis!! Please let us know if you are interested in adopting Martha! Interested in adopting? Apply on our website ( https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt )  to  set up a private meeting or check below for my adoption event schedule. Come meet me at our adoption event at 9 Mile Brewing in Bloomington on Sunday, 10/1 from 1pm - 3pm! Age: DOB 3/28/23 Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes, dog savvy cats Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes, good on a schedule Crate trained: Yes   Your eyes do not deceive you, I really am that gorgeous! My name is Paprika, when I was born everybody said that I was one of the prettiest pup they have seen and I have to agree with them. Along with being beautiful I am also pretty smart and an all around good pup. From her foster mom: Paprika follows me in the yard, is best buddies with my German Shepherd, does well with my 2 cats and granddaughter of 5 yrs old. She is still learning sit and stay, but comes in the house when called every time. She is so proud of learning to walk on leash with her new best buddy. She sleeps in her crate, but would love to sleep in my bedroom if allowed. She just needs a little extra TLC for her MegaE so eats in a chair made just for her. Do you think you're her forever home? **** She has been seen by an internal medicine specialist and diagnosed with Megaesophagus (basically an esophagus that doesn’t push food down to the stomach like it normally should), at times causing regurgitation.   Supportive therapy for dogs with megaesophagus includes: • Raising food and water bowls to let gravity help the eating process. Paprika uses a specially designed Bailey chair that comes with her adoption. • Changing the form of food based on the dog’s specific needs.  • Providing smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day.  • Encouraging dogs to sleep with their front end slightly elevated. • Medications Dogs with megaesophagus can live happy lives with regular veterinary care and pet parent dedication.     **** Adoption Fee: $350Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
