If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please complete  an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org. Hello everyone my name is Bruce, technically my name is Floyd but my foster mom has been calling me Bruce since she picked me up almost 2 months ago. When my foster mom picked me up, I was skin and bones and had 3 huge sores on my booty. Despite the hardship of my beginning, I am a loveable, goofy boy who loves life and has the best smile to show you! I love humans! Young, old, male, female it doesn’t matter I love you all. My foster mom thinks that I would do really well in a home as an only dog. I get along well with other dogs but I kind of just ignore them. I haven’t really shown any interest in joining the pack with the other dogs in my foster home. My foster mom has compared it to when kids are little and they don’t play together but they play next to each other which is fine by me! I do love chew toys and bones I also love soft stuffie toys however I tend to destroy them almost as fast as my foster mom can buy them so we typically stick to harder toys. I have learned some basic manners like sit and shake but am still working on not jumping and just basic listening skills. My foster mom says that I don’t listen worth a damn but it is kind of part of my charm. One of my favorite things to do is go for car rides. I love to sit in the front seat but will settle for the back if someone else gets there first. I love to sit and watch out the windows while going down the road. I am house trained and kennel trained but would prefer to be with my people. I am a bit of a barker when I hear someone at the door or you’re getting home from work. I just don’t want you to forget that I in my kennel! Shared walls are probably not the best idea because of this. I have a pretty mellow personality and am not a super active dog so my exercise needs are pretty low.  I am very happy to just take a stroll through the yard and pee on trees no need to go for a run. My foster mom has tried to throw the ball for me and while I will chase after it (sometimes) I have no interest in putting that thing in my mouth. If you are interested in learning more about me fill out an application and let my foster mom tell you how awesome I am!   Note from Foster mom: Bruce is an extremely special boy. He has so much love to give despite his ruff life prior to rescue. Bruce is going to need a home that is patient with him yet firm. He sometimes doesn’t listen, he counter surfs, digs in garbage’s and will eat any food he can get his paws on. While he loves everyone, I think maybe older kids are best so they can be mindful of food around him. He has never been aggressive with food with humans or other dogs but he still has yet to master being gentle when taking treats. There is not a mean bone in this goofy boy’s body. Bruce needs someone who understands his past and that he will most likely always be extremely excited by food and may never outgrow the quirks that he has developed from being starved. He has made HUGE strides in the 2 months that he has been with us and with a firm loving person he will continue to make progress. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.  ##2384945##

Age: DOB 8/30/2024 Dog friendly: Yes, needs another dog in his home Cat friendly: Yes, dog-savvy cats only Kid friendly: Yes, older/considerate kids only Potty trained: Yes, on a schedule Crate trained: Yes, may bark initially, but settles down pretty quickly If you’re looking for a smiley, loyal, and playful pup, Yoshi is the dog for you! He has lots of energy and zest for life. His favorite past times include… - wrestling with his doggie brother (ask about his signature summersault move) - playing with toys - getting snuggles - being outside (loves our fenced yard, leash training needs work but he is a quick learner) - learning new tricks (he is very smart! Has done great with sit, lie down, and potty bells) Yoshi is the sweetest, little gem of a dog, with lots of personality and some sass. He came to rescue needing lots of love and nourishment. Because of this, he does display some resource guarding, specifically with other dogs and does need to be fed separately (in another room with a door), and not given yummy, chewy treats in the presence of another dog (such as bully sticks). This has been an easy accommodation for us and our resident dog. Yoshi does get quite vocal when playing, and does bark at pups walking past, or loud noises, but he is doing great with redirection! He does well with our kitties, although he very much would like to play with them. He is not aggressive but does try to chase if he’s feeling playful. Adoption Fee: $495

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  CAMMY Age: 8 Breed: Boxer Mix Hobbies: Sunbathing, snacking, silently judging other dogs from the couch   Cammy is 8 years old and completely over the drama. She’s in her “retired and loving it” era—think Golden Girls with more drool.   She doesn’t mind other dogs… as long as they don’t touch her, breathe on her, or exist too loudly in her presence. Basically, she’s the queen of “tolerates but does not participate.”   What Cammy does love is food. Deeply. Passionately. If you’ve got snacks, you’ve got a friend. She doesn’t need much exercise—unless there’s a treat at the end, and then she might sprint like she’s in the Olympics.   All she’s asking for is a warm, sunny spot to nap in, a couch to claim as her throne, and a human or two who appreciate the art of chill. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, high-vibes companion, Cammy is accepting applications for her retirement entourage.   Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Story
Hi there, I’m Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I’m about a year old Boxer mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I’m ready to find my forever home!   I’m the good boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I’ve already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups. I would need a home with another dog because I love to play!   I’m also great in the car—I’ll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I’ll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I’d do best in a home without small kids, as sometimes I am anxious.   I’m a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. I love my toys and love antlers and bones to chew on.    If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, I’m your pup. I can’t wait to meet you and start our adventures together!    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Meet Herman! This brave 5-month-old Boxer mix has already been through so much—and come out the other side with nothing but love to give. Found as a stray and a survivor of both abuse and parvo, Herman’s resilience is matched only by his sweet, playful spirit. Herman is thriving in his foster home! He’s crate trained, nearly perfect with house training, and walks beautifully on a leash. He already knows how to sit and lay down, and he’s eager to keep learning. He absolutely adores other dogs and lights up around kids—his happy, wiggly energy is contagious! Herman is looking for a family that will give him the love, safety, and playtime he truly deserves. After a tough start, this boy is more than ready for his happily ever after.     Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Gemma is a beautiful, two year old pit bull. She is from Arizona, where she was severely neglected by her previous family. We found her in Scottsdale through The Desert Dog Project (thedesertdogprojct.org) rescue, which is run by a friend. At first, Gemma seemed like the perfect dog for us so we drove her home, to Minnesota. Gemma is clingy and has a lot of anxiety due to her previous neglect and abandonment. She needs a warm, loving home without other animals. We have trained her to leave our 3 cats alone, but it took some time and work, and from time to time, we still see the look in her eyes telling us she is thinking about attacking She seems to covet women over men but easily latches onto whoever gives her positive energy and attention. A perfect day to Gemma is to snuggle with you/at your side in bed, on the couch or simply playing shadow, as she follows you around the house. We are moving and cannot bring her sweet self with us. She is young but overall a really good dog.
