Story
Meet Bruce — the boy who’s been waiting for someone to see the gentle heart behind those big, hopeful eyes.Bruce is a 3 year old, 50 pound American Staffordshire Terrier with a story that tugs at you in all the right ways. He was found wandering as a stray, and although he tried his best to be brave, the shelter environment was overwhelming for him. The stress took a toll — he lost weight, shut down a bit, and quietly waited for life to get better. And then it did. Thanks to Sammy’s Hope, Bruce was welcomed into a loving foster home where he could finally exhale. In just a short time, he has blossomed into the dog he was always meant to be. He’s relaxed, curious about the world, and so affectionate it’s impossible not to fall for him. His appetite is back, he sleeps soundly through the night in his crate without a peep, and he’s rediscovered the simple joy of playing with his toys.Bruce is friendly, eager to please, and knows his basic commands. He’s also extremely food motivated — treats are his love language — which makes training fun and rewarding. His foster family describes him as a sweetheart who just wants to be near his people and soak up the comfort he missed for so long.Bruce isn’t just looking for a home. He’s looking for his home — the one where he can continue to feel safe, cherished, and part of something real and lasting. If you’re searching for a loyal companion with a tender spirit and a heart ready to bond deeply, Bruce is waiting. If you are interested in meeting Bruce, please complete an Interest Form. An adoption counselor will contact you to schedule an appointment.January 24, 2026, 12:16 am

He’s got that classic Boxer personality—goofy, loving, playful, expressive, and always ready to make you laugh. Tank lives for human attention, happy moments, and being part of the action. Despite his bright spirit, Tank hasn’t had it easy. He was heartbreakingly abandoned inside a home when his owner moved out, then eventually dumped at animal control. Yet somehow, he still greets people with trust, sweetness, and that signature Boxer enthusiasm. He’s proof that dogs can be incredibly resilient and unbelievably loving. Tank does great with other dogs and has even lived with cats, making him a wonderful fit for many types of families. He’s eager to belong to someone who will finally give him the stability, kindness, and love he has always deserved. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with boundless love and a silly streak that will brighten every day, Tank is ready to be your guy. Adoption application: www.wtfarmtn.org

Story
Rudy is an 11 month old mixed breed puppy. He was rescued by Castle of Dreams from a local shelter after being found abandoned in a hotel room. Rudy will thrive in a home where he will have a structured routine and lots of exercise to channel his puppy energy. An experienced dog owner should keep up with his training as he is a smart boy that needs to be challenged. He loves to chew on toys and bones. Rudy is waiting for the perfect home where he can learn how to grow into a wonderful companion. He would prefer a home with older kids and a family who will reinforce his positive training. He knows his basic commands and loves to play with other dogs. He has the cutest face and is waiting patiently for a new family to call his own.  Rudy is up-to-date on all of his vaccines, is neutered and microchipped.
