Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hatcher (GA) is a male Boxer mix estimated to be 4 months old at the time of intake in July 2024. Hatcher is up to date on core vaccines (age-appropriate) and is microchipped. Hatcher will be neutered prior to joining his forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Hatcher is good with people and other dogs. We found Hatcher in a shelter suffering immensely with an open, raw wound from a burn down the length of his back. We immediately pulled Hatcher out and got him to our veterinary partner for wound treatment and pain relief.  Despite his horrific condition, Hatcher was tail-waggingly happy! Hatcher's wound is almost healed, and he's ready for his forever home. If you are Hatcher's forever person, please apply online to adopt Hatcher (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. His adoption fee is $575.  Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 21, 2024, 12:15 pm

Story
Meet Noa, a happy, goofy girl with a heart of pure gold. Noa’s journey started when she was found as a stray in a pretty sad state. But thanks to a wonderful foster home, Noa has bounced back, eager to take on each new day. Noa's personality is as adorably goofy and cute as her little snaggletooth. She's playful, incredibly tolerant of other animals (dog and cats included), and always ready to snuggle up with her friends and family. Noa experienced seizures shortly after her rescue, but she's now on medication and has been responding exceptionally well. She’s looking for a family that will embrace her with open arms, shower her with love, and provide her with plenty of adventures. If you’re looking for a loving, silly, happy, tolerant companion, Noa is your girl. All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. I would like to rehome my Pure bread Boxer. As my family is continuing to grow, we travel every month and we're unable to give Ziggy the proper attention that he deserves. He is great with small children, doesn't really bark, pretty friendly and loving dog. We've had him since he was 8 weeks old. We met Ziggy's mother and father, he was purchased in Florida.

These pups are in New York, New York too!

Story
Take a peek at sweet Miss Polka – her polka dots are sure to win your heart! Polka is an absolute dream of a doggy companion. She has a delightfully peaceful personality and enjoys making new friends. She adores socializing with her favorite people, playing with toys and getting tasty treats. Once you spend some quality time with Polka, it doesn’t take her long to show off her full-body wiggles and try and squeeze into your lap!  Polka prefers the quiet things in life! The sights and sounds of the city can be a little overwhelming for this sensitive girl, but she is building her confidence with the help of treats and praise as rewards. Polka also likes being around other dogs, but she prefers those with similarly calm energy. Polka would probably be a good fit for most families. Polka does well with other dogs and should meet other dogs one-on-one first. Our staff would love to help make introductions! An Admissions and Placement Specialist can give you tips to help set Polka up for housetraining success. Miss Polka Dot is a wonderful pup with lots of love to give! Story
There isn’t a dreamier pooch than our very own Dibo! This brindle boy is a true heart melter! While he’s been with us, Dibo has quickly learned that he is deserving of love! The fastest way to his heart is with toys and treats. When you bring out a stuffed toy, he is eager to play and shows off his sweet, silly self. Once he makes a new friend, there is no one more endearing! Soon enough, darling Dibo will politely approach you and ask for pets and head scratches. Dibo has made great progress in becoming a more confident pup, especially in the outdoor world, which can be overwhelming for him. His ideal adopter would give him the time and space he needs to continue blossoming. Dibo is also super comfortable with other dogs, and he has made many canine buddies here at the Adoption Center! Dibo does well with other dogs and should meet potential canine roommates one-on-one first. Our staff would love to help make introductions! Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Anyone who follows Zani's Furry Friends ZFF knows we love to take in handicapped dogs & Cats. Eliza will be our 1st young toothless Pup. Meet 2yrs old 37lbs Eliza from Albania.Great with dogs and kids. Eliza was abused on the street. People threw stones at her & her puppies, she was starved and ate rocks. Thankfully Mija Resuli rescued her. She's Super super sweet. She can’t live on the street without teeth. So she’s in the shelter now. We are hoping to get her here in January & looking for a foster or an adopter before she gets here.  All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.  Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
