Story
Max has never had a belly rub he didn’t like!   He also enjoys lounging in the sun, gently playing with his stuffies, and daily walks (but isn’t interested in being anyone’s running buddy- we feel  ya Max!)   Car rides are his favorite- especially when he gets to ride shotgun!  Max has a silly personality that really shines once you get to know him!  While Max takes correction well, he’ll require an adopter who will let him know he’s not the boss.  Give him an inch, and he’ll take a foot ( can you blame him though?!) Max is extremely food motivated and will never turned down a meal or treat.  He will even dance for his dinner! He  is currently being fostered by a family  with two female resident dogs, a cat (who he loves and secretly has a crush on), and two older kiddos (8 and 12 years old).  Since tiny humans can be super unpredictable, we recommend older kids for  Max. A meet-and -greet is required if you already have pups – Max loves all the attention! He is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered,  microchipped, current on  his vaccinations, 4-5 years old, and  weighs 65 lbs. Email info@rockwallpets.com to meet this big ole goofball!   April 25, 2024, 6:34 pm

Story
Hi! I'm Cookie! I am a 6 year old female Boxer/Bulldog mix around 45 Lbs. I was originally found at Hickory Ridge Park in Rockwall on 03/13/23 and was never reclaimed. I am playful, love going on walks/ jogs, and have a favorite tiny rubber chicken toy. After exercising, I like taking naps with my blanket. I have been patiently waiting for my FURever home for 405 days as of 04/23/24. Since I am considered a Diamond Dog, I have a reduced adoption fee of $75. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination and basic yearly boosters. Thanks to Rockwall PAWS, I am now heartworm negative as of 03/20/24!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. April 25, 2024, 6:13 pm

Story
Hello, my name is Cristoph! I am a 1-year-old, male Boxer mix weighing approx. 59 lbs. I was originally found in the Providence Subdivision in Rockwall on 09/14/2023 and sadly never reclaimed. I am a sweet boy who enjoys going on walks and loves to play. I have made lots of canine friends since I've been at the shelter, but I would like to find a real home and family to love. I am house broken, crate trained, and am overall a very good boy! If you have other pets in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along before taking me home! I can be nervous around small children and am suggested with kids 13 years and older. Since I have been a shelter resident for 218 days as of 04/20/24, I am a Diamond Dog with a reduced adoption fee of $75. I am neutered, current on rabies vaccination, basic boosters, microchip and heartworm negative! If you are interested in making me a part of your family, you are welcome to fill out an adoption application listed here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Story
We adopted Mikey off of a Craigslist ad back in November 2014, he was 8 months old. At the time we lived in a house with 2 acres to play on. 5 years ago we moved into an apartment and that has been an adjustment for everyone. My husband and I have recently moved into different roles at work requiring more hours than it did 4 years ago. Mikey is a fun, loving, goofy boy and loves love. I don't think he knows a stranger! He gets along with other dogs, cats, people and kids. He would do well in a home with lots of activity that involves him, or if they have kids or someone who has the time the ability to spend lots of time with him. He is crate trained, house broken, knows basic commands, and walks great on a leash. He would do well in a home that would allow him to roam freely in those following his people room to room with the ability to go play outside whenever he wants. Update- he is now current on vaccines, heartworm negative and back on prevention 4-6-24

Story
Boomer was a gift to me from my son after my previous boxer passed. Boomer is a purebred boxer. He is house trained, has a doggie door, loves kids and is great with babies even. Boomer will be 4 in July. Boomer mostly stays inside but loves sunning outside, chasing a rabbit or squirrel. I do put him outside on nice days when I am away for the day. Boomer will alert you when he hears or sees something. He loves to cuddle and wants to be your shadow and would be a lap dog if you let him. He would be the perfect companion to a child or an adult. We travel a lot now and find ourselves constantly boarding him or we are not home enough to give Boomer the love and attention he deserves. If you have the home, the yard, the love and the time Boomer needs; please contact me.

Hello, im needing to rehome Bray. We moved to a new home and he keeps leaping over the fence. Im afraid hell either run away or get hit by a car. I think hed do well at a home with decent lot size. Hes a good dog, great with kids. Hes a shy boy so youd have to give him a day or two to get acclimated. Not sure how well hed do with other dogs but i have two others and he does great with them. Hes fixed and AKC registered. I dont have the original paperwork, i printed the certificate the other day. Rehome fee

Story
Star came to us along with her litter of pups from an old man's house where she got very little attention much less food. He said she was a stray but was not able to care for her properly, thus a litter of unwanted pups! A pizza delivery guy alerted us to her plight and we came to help. She is very enthusiastic and active and loves to run! After she came to the rescue, she lived with Luke a 5 months old pup for a while and they loved to run and play. He has now been adopted. She is a great size- about 45 lbs and could be a great running partner. We think she could also be a great couch potato given some time. Her breed is a little unknown. She is small for a Boxer so we are thinking something smaller might be mixed in- maybe JR Terrier? We hope you will consider adding STAR to your family soon. She now walks on a leash and is learning some basic manners. If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue
