Story
Buster is an approximately 3-year-old Boxer/Bulldog mix weighing around 51 pounds who is ready to find his forever home! He came to Rockwall Adoption Center in hopes of finding a family of his own, and this fun-loving guy is ready to make a splash. Literally—Buster loves to swim! Buster is a friendly, outgoing boy who enjoys going for walks, spending time with his people, and taking every opportunity he can to enjoy the water. He has done well with other dogs, although his play style can be rowdy and energetic. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is recommended to make sure their personalities and play styles are a good match. Buster's adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on his basic annual vaccinations. Buster did test heartworm positive, but thanks to the generous donor, his heartworm treatment is sponsored. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate companion who is always ready for his next adventure—or his next swim—Buster may be your guy! Apply to adopt Buster: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Once your application is received, RAC staff will be in touch with the next steps.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. August 13, 2026, 4:37 pm

He has attend a lot of adoption events and is friendly with anyone he meets, he loves kids, other dogs and people.   He is such a lay back baby and loves to play in the yard but also has that calm demeanor. He may have some gray hair in his face but he is the most charismatic boy. Story
At just 6 months old, Rouge is still a puppy with his whole life ahead of him. Like many young dogs, he’s full of energy, loves walks, enjoys playing fetch, and is ready to learn. His previous owners described him as good with strangers, and shelter staff says he’s playful, a little shy at first, and has lots of potential. Rouge is looking for an experienced home that understands young dogs need patience, structure, and training. He’ll do best with someone committed to helping him build confidence and good manners through positive reinforcement. Because of his history of resource guarding, he’ll need a home that can safely manage and continue working on that behavior, and no kids. Every dog deserves a chance, and Rouge is hoping the right person will see beyond his past and give him the opportunity to become the amazing companion he can be.
