Story
Meet Blue! He is about 7.5 years old and is a great dog. We think is is likely a mix of boxer and German Shepard. He is very unique in that he has one blue eye and one brown eye. He is very loving. He is athletic and loves to play with balls and toys but is also perfectly fine being lazy and cuddling! He is great on a leash for walking or on a run. Our family circumstances have changed and we are looking for a loving home for Blue. His sister, Lady, is adoptable as well. She is the yellow lab in the picture above. If you are looking to adopt a pair, they are great together. They are able to be adopted separately as well. Adoption fee is to ensure he goes to a good home. It is negotiable

Story
Re-introducing Benny! Benny is now 8 months old. He is a boxer mix and will be fully vetted including Neuter this week. He’s been in foster care for quite some time now and has really grown up. We can’t understand why he’s not getting adoption attention. He is just too sweet not to get a furever home. Benny has grown into an easy laid-back older puppy. He gets along with all of the dogs and the cat. He tends to be quiet and non-confrontational. He likes to dig and we’ve got some pretty good holes. He prefers to be indoors and will lay around and play couch potato. He sleeps in a crate overnight. He doesn’t like the to be leashed but walks okay once he gets going. He just needs some more practice and he will be perfect. He still lives to play with his toys and still loves to snuggle. To meet Benny, please fill out an application! Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application. Adoption donation of $350 includes spay/neuter, microchip, deworming, dhpp vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella nose spray and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption. Dallas/Ft. Worth area Applications can be found online at www.pawsofloverescue.com, under the adopt tab.  We require an approved application before a meet and greet is set up.  October 23, 2024, 9:23 am

NOTE: Please read the last paragraph in order to learn how to apply to Adopt or to Foster Grady. Well, look who is ready and waiting for a Foster Home OR Adoption! It is GRADY, the Boxer mix we recently rescued. He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him...well, except for cats...they don't like him much. Grady has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and tested Negative for heartworms!! He came to us at about 62 pounds, but he is still thin. We believe he is approximately 2 years old, probably less. He sometimes still urinates like a puppy and he's so curious about Everything... sneaks up on anything unfamiliar. It's so cute to watch! Grady is house-trained and he knows 'sit.' He takes treats very gently from your hand and will give you big kisses in return. He's playful, but will chill with you on the couch, too. Grady is good with other dogs and children; but NOT good with cats. He's an all-around great dog and has many years ahead to fill your life with love and fun! Please apply to Foster OR Adopt him by completing the online application you will find near his photos on our website, www.BaytownHumaneSociety.org

Story
COURTESY POST: Meet Rocky. He is a sweet boy who has been with his current caretakers for a long time. Rocky is a social butterfly and loves the company of cats, kids, and other dogs. He is currently in boarding and desperately needs a foster home or an adopter. Rocky is fully vetted and ready to go to his new home. Please consider giving Rocky a loving home. Rocky is about 4 years old and weighs 65 pounds. Please note that we don't recommend Rocky to families with children under 5. We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
