He starts off shy but blossoms into a warm, friendly companion. We are seeking a permanent, loving home where he can thrive. He about 5 years old, weighs, about 50 lbs,. .. Currently he is living with our childhood dog and has not had any issues, he mixes well with dogs. He is comfortable laying with our dog and just feeling safe for the first time in a long time. Meet Sox! He is a Boxer Mix. He is good with most all dogs his size or larger. He is great with children and so sweet. He ignores cats in his home but chases feral cats outside. Buddy is a silly and fun pup. He thinks he is a lap dog and loves to be cuddled. He loves to play tug of rope and will chase the ball but doesn't want to give it back. I think he just wants you to chase him haha. Buddy is a loyal companion and loving pup. Sox would be a perfect addition to any family. We acquired Waylon from a family that breeds boxers east of Sachse. He was very young. He will be 2 years old in May 2026, and he loves his 6 year old boxer brother, Andy. He is energetic, but very easily calms down when a snuggly blanket is available for him to lay on. He is s house trained, and he does very well in a crate while we are away from the house (we feel it is the safest thing. He is a boxer after all :) As all boxers do, he needs a family who understands the energy and silliness of the boxer breed. He is definitely an inside dog, and loves to sit by the warmth of a fire inside or outside. However, he is perfectly happy outside when he can be in the sun. He is a very sweet boy, and he loves to lay on my feet (upside down) while we watch TV in the evenings. He knows a few tricks, like shaking with both paws, up for a hug, sits very well either voice or hand signal commands.
