Derby is a 7-month-old sweetheart with the biggest heart and the cutest little nickname — “Derpy.” She is deaf, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. In fact, it just makes her extra special. Derby is incredibly cuddly and absolutely adores being close to her people. If you’re looking for a snuggle bug, she’s your girl. She gets along beautifully with large dogs, small dogs, cats, and kids — she truly just wants to be everyone’s friend. Despite having a very ruff start in life, Derby is blossoming into the happiest, wiggliest little ray of sunshine. Watching her confidence grow has been such a gift. She can still be a little nervous at times, but with patience and love, she continues to come out of her shell more each day. She’s also the heaviest sleeper you’ll ever meet — once she’s out, she’s out! Derby walks nicely on a leash and is currently working on her potty training (she’s making progress!).
