Story
Meet Rosie! A spirited two-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever mix currently living in Liberty Hill, TX, whose golden coat and bright white accents mirror the sunshine she brings wherever she goes. Rosie is the kind of dog who’s always ready for adventure, whether it’s bounding after a tennis ball, trotting down an off-leash trail, or galloping across a big backyard with the wind in her fur! A natural athlete with a heart full of love, Rosie thrives on outdoor playtime and would absolutely adore a bit of land or a spacious yard where she can stretch her legs and explore to her heart’s content. Playful and loyal, Rosie is also a big fan of training time—especially when tasty treats are involved! She’s already picked up handy commands like “sit,” “stay,” “down,” and “leave it,” and with her food-motivated personality, she’s eager to learn even more with positive reinforcement. When it’s time to wind down, this sweet girl is a cuddle pro, happy to snuggle up after a day full of fun! Rosie is wonderful with children of all ages and enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those her own size who share her zest for play. She would be a fantastic match for a family with other large dogs or anyone simply looking for a loyal, four-legged best friend. While she handles short periods alone just fine and is crate-trained, she truly shines when she’s part of the daily rhythm of a home—sharing time, space, and love with her people. Her one quirk? Vacuums and electric house tools are not her jam—they’re a little too noisy and unpredictable for her liking. But hey, aren’t we all allowed our pet peeves? Fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and house-trained, Rosie is ready to leap into her next chapter! Could your home be the one where she’ll run, romp, and rest her head? Reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com and tell us—can you picture Rosie as your new adventure buddy?

Story
Meet Batty — the sweetest little sidekick-in-training!  Batty is already stealing hearts everywhere he goes. This adorable boxer/pitbull mix is expected to grow into a medium-sized best friend (around 40-ish pounds full grown), but for now he’s still a goofy, wiggly puppy discovering the world one adventure at a time. Batty absolutely LOVES his people and thinks kids are pretty great too. Since he’s still teething, he explores the world with his mouth like most puppies do, so he’d do best with older kiddos or younger children who are dog-savvy and understand puppy manners. The good news? Those tiny shark teeth are already starting to fall out! This sweet boy is also fantastic with other dogs and even does well with cats. He often looks to other pets for guidance and confidence, making him a wonderful candidate for a home with furry siblings. Batty is currently working on potty training and proving he’s a very smart boy — his foster mom says he’s doing great! He’s also a rockstar in his crate and doesn’t make a peep, which is pretty impressive for such a young pup. Whether he’s playing, snuggling, or following you around like your tiny shadow, Batty is happiest just being near his people. He’s the perfect mix of affectionate, playful, and eager-to-please. If you’re looking for a fun-loving puppy to grow up with your family and be your loyal best friend, Batty would love to meet you! Applications are at codys_adoption_application. Cody's adopts dogs in the greater Dallas/Ft Worth area, and does not adopt puppies under the age of six months into apartment homes. ##2741488##

Meet Doggert! A joyful American Pitbull Terrier/Siberian Husky mix currently in Waxahachie, TX, estimated to be about three to four years old, whose essence is a whirlwind of fun wrapped in a tan-and-white coat and topped with the biggest, goofiest smile you’ve ever seen. At around 75 pounds of pure personality, Doggert is the kind of companion who turns every day into an adventure with a tennis ball in his mouth and his expressive ears flopping in the breeze. This playful, affectionate boy is a real crowd-pleaser at the dog park, where he zips around like a furry rocket, always ready to fetch, chase, and make new friends! He’s wonderfully friendly with other dogs, gets along well with cats, and has a gentle, happy-go-lucky way with children. Doggert is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, and even responds to hand signals for “lay.” He adjusts well to a routine and stays calm when left alone, but he truly lights up when his people are nearby. A fenced yard is a must for this speedy sprinter! He needs space to run, explore, and release his Husky side in full glory. Got an active lifestyle? Doggert is your perfect partner for morning jogs, weekend hikes, or backyard fetch marathons! He’s always game for adventure but equally content to flop down for some belly rubs afterward. Just be sure to keep a few tennis balls handy! He loves to chew and these trusty toys help him steer clear of anything off-limits. Doggert needs a family or guardian who values playtime, companionship, and outdoor fun. If your heart’s big enough for one oversized grin and your yard’s roomy enough for zoomies, could Doggert be the cheerful new buddy you’ve been waiting for? Ready to meet this lovable goofball? Story
Lucy and her best pal, Tucker, were living a comfortable life until their owner became ill and had to move into assisted living. Family members were unable to keep them, so this precious pair was surrendered. We'd love for them to stay together, because they're very devoted to one another. They've adapted well to their foster home but need that special someone or family to provide them with their "happily ever after." Tucker is the more "chill" of the two - a gentle soul who just wants to cuddle. Lucy is downright comical - very interested in the world around her and happily engaged with her human companions! Both dogs have received manners training and are well-behaved. But for those who feel the need, they come with training support from a fear-free trainer! Lucy and Tucker have been fully vetted, including dentals, and are housetrained. The perfect pair - just looking for the perfect home! Could it be yours? If you'd like more information, please TEXT Leigh at 469-885-0416 or Mary at 214-783-2060.
