Story
Logan is 5 years old and has been with our family since we adopted him at 3 months old. He is loving, playful, and energetic, and needs an owner that has time to play with him and take him for walks. Our schedules have become hectic and our yard is much smaller now than when we first got him. He gets along well with other dogs, and is protective of his humans. He may take some time to warm up to new people.

Story
Meet Red –  A True Soul Dog and Gentleman “Some dogs come into your life, and some dogs become your life. A soul dog is never just a pet—they are a part of you that finally made it home.” As his foster, I truly believe Red is one of those soul dogs, just looking for his true person. Red has faced challenges in life, but none of this was ever his fault. His previous family struggled to care for him consistently, yet he remained loyal, kind, and always there for them. Now he’s ready for a stable, loving forever home. Red is an 8-year-old, 86-pound Boxer mix with a honey-brown coat, soulful brown eyes, a striking white blaze and chest, and four white socks. He’s a gentle giant—loyal, smart, loving, and full of heart. Red is crate and house trained, walks perfectly on leash, knows sit and shake with both paws, rides beautifully in the car, and has excellent house manners. He is fantastic with kids, other dogs, and cats, he loves snuggles, Netflix marathons, calm walks when the weather is nice, and relaxing indoors on a cozy bed. Red is a true companion who simply loves being near you. Red deserves a home where he will be cherished as a full indoor family member, treated with love, patience, and stability. He is ready to give his whole heart to the family lucky enough to adopt him. About Red: 8 years old Boxer mix Neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines  Heartworm negative House & crate trained Kid-friendly Dog and Cat-friendly Great on leash Loves fetch, car rides, and cuddles Red's adoption fee is $200, covering his neuter, vaccinations, dewormer, first dose of heartworm prevention, and microchip. Ready to meet Red? Apply at legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application, and his foster mom will be in touch! We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Hutch is a shy boy that takes a minute to trust and to warm up to strangers. As you can see from his photos, once he has a minute, he is just a lover! He gets along great with other dogs, is house, crate and leash trained. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Boxer Redbone Coonhound mix – Neutered – DOB 03/17/2017 – weight 103lbs - we have had Ranger since 03/16/2019 – very friendly and loving – good with kids - does well with other dogs and cats- never bitten anyone

Story
West is an adorable, social butterfly. He has an excellent temperament and loves people and other dogs. He doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body. He will bark if someone comes to the door, but otherwise he’s pretty quiet. He’s honestly a great dog and I hate that I have to get rid of him and his sister. There aren’t any issues, I simply can’t take him with me to the house I’m moving to. The only con is that they both can tend to pull on the leash when they’re being walked. That’s something I was never able to train out of them, but I’m sure can be accomplished. He and his sister Lola are a packaged deal. They have been together since birth so I just want to ensure they stay together. Both are quiet and friendly. If you have kids, you couldn’t get better dogs. Please reach out to me if you have any questions.
