Story
Huckleberry is Sage's brother. He's about 4 years old and his name fits. He's just goofy. He is great with kids, loves to be petted and he has lots of energy. He loves being outdoors. Huckleberry is allergic to grass so he takes a Benadryl every morning and every night buried in a little peanut butter with his food. As long as he takes his Benadryl, he's totally fine. Huckleberry is an alpha when it comes to Sage. Huckleberry, like Sage, loves to go for walks, loves to be outside, and loves water. We adopted Huckleberry from Humane tomorrow and love this boy.

Story
Hi, I'm Diamond! I was a cast off mama dog. I was abandoned by my owner and left with his parents. They didn't want me either. I was alone and pregnant. I gave birth to my 9 babies under an abandoned trailer. One of my babies died before I could get help and one had fallen into a hole under the trailer and had an injured leg. Some nice people came and rescued me as the people who owned the property were going to kill me and my babies. I was soooo glad to be rescued though I was not very trusting in people at this point. They took me and my puppies to a safe place and we were warm and had plenty of food. My injured baby was taken to a vet and treated. Now my puppies are on their way to new homes and I am going to get fixed! No more pups for me! I am a sweet girl, once I get to know you I can really wiggle my butt and give you kisses. I like other dogs too. I would be a good girl for you and I am getting some training on leash walking and learning commands. Please put in an application for me. I am ready for a new start in life! PS--I got my name because I have a white diamond shape on the back of my neck and because I'm precious as Diamonds!

Meet Slater &#194&#150 Your Loyal Companion Awaits Breed: Boxer Mix | Age: 4 years | Sex: Neutered Male | Adoption Fee: $125 Slater is a handsome and affectionate 4-year-old Boxer mix who's ready for a fresh start. He was found as a stray off Somerset in Rockwall and, sadly, was never reclaimed. But now, Slater is looking ahead to brighter days with a loving forever family by his side. This sweet boy is full of heart and ready to give his all to the right home. While Slater did test positive for heartworms, he's been enrolled in a treatment program sponsored by Rockwall PAWS, meaning his care will come at little to no cost for his adopter. Shelter staff are happy to answer any questions about his treatment or what to expect during recovery. If you're looking for a devoted, medium-energy companion who's already neutered and ready to settle into family life, Slater could be the perfect match. Slater is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination and basic boosters. To take the next step, please complete an adoption application online at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. Let's help Slater find the happy ending he deserves.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. June 13, 2025, 12:51 pm

Story
Red’s all-time favorite: quiet patio snuggles. Hoping this boy can find his perfect patio partner in a quiet home, own patio chair not required. Hard to image he thinks he’s a guard dog. Redford is loving life and discovering the puppyhood he never had. Because of this, Red is extremely energetic, curious and loves attention. He will thrive with an experienced adopter who can continue his training and set boundaries. He is so happy he hasnt quite learned his off button. Due to his background he has issues with resource guarding and should not be around kids. He will need slow introductions to new people and pets in a controlled setting. Redford loves to run, play, and be outside. He would probably make a good running buddy. He would not do well in an apartment. Although only about 30lbs, his zoomies make him a small wrecking ball. His resume: Looking for: furever home. Ideal job: Market Research - toy chew tester Ideal hobby: competitive treat eating Loves: patio lounging, toy destruction, zoomies, snuggles and pets, playing in water Dislike: leash walking, strangers, people wanting ‘his’ things, rain & wet grass (0 stars) Another dog starved nearly to death. Adopted from the shelter and returned like this. Individual stated they couldn't afford food. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
