Story
Lloyd is absolutely best friend material! He bonds strongly with his people and will become your shadow in no time. When he's not snuggling at your feet, getting belly rubs, or napping, Lloyd enjoys playing, running around the yard, going for walks, and learning new tricks. Lloyd can be reactive when meeting new dogs and may be happiest as the only dog in his new home. We don't know if he's ever lived with cats, but he does have a strong prey drive, so caution should be used when introducing. Lloyd will likely do best with older kids who can handle him gently. Lloyd likes a calmer environment and can be nervous around strangers, so he may not be a fit for an apartment or condo and would likely be happiest in a quiet neighborhood. If you're ready to welcome home this precious pup, send in an adoption application today! *Lloyd is in a foster home and not located in the shelter.

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾🥧 Well hello y'all — I’m Moon Pie! 🥧🐾 (2 Years • 70 lbs • Male • Big Goof Energy Included) Yep, Moon Pie — like the sweet treat and like Sheldon’s Meemaw calls him on The Big Bang Theory. Because when you’re this lovable, wiggly, and impossible not to adore, you deserve a name that sounds like a hug. And let me tell you… I am a hug in dog form. I’m a big, lanky, floppy, happy boy with a giant heart and zero shame about belly rubs. I will dramatically roll over, squirm, wiggle, and grin while you rub my belly like it’s my full-time job (spoiler: it is). My foster dad calls me a total goof — and honestly, I take that as a compliment. I’m fully house trained (very proud of this accomplishment) and I’m doggie-door certified. If the door is ever locked, I politely wait like the gentleman I am instead of panicking or causing chaos. On walks, I usually stroll along nicely on a loose leash… unless a squirrel appears, or a potential new friend crosses my path, in which case I briefly but only briefly, forget my professionalism 😅 🐾 Moon Pie’s Fun Facts & Credentials: ✔️ House trained & crate trained (I relax quietly when you leave) ✔️ Uses the dog door like a pro ✔️ Walks well on leash — excitement moments included ✔️ Quiet at home — not much of a barker ✔️ Loves toys and can entertain himself like a one-dog circus ✔️ Knows “sit” and “stay” and takes treats gently ✔️ Super smart, eager to learn, and very trainable I’ve lived with a senior dog and we got along great — though I’ll admit, sometimes I forget not everyone wants to play as much as I do. I’d love a dog buddy who enjoys some playtime or a human who’s happy to help me keep polishing my manners. I really want to be the best boy. Oh — and if you’re into running or biking? Congratulations, you’ve just found your new workout partner. I love keeping pace and cruising alongside you like it’s no big deal. At the end of the day, I’m sweet, affectionate, goofy, active, and full of potential. I’m the kind of dog who brings laughter to your yard, calm to your home, and loyalty to your heart. If you’re looking for a loving, slightly ridiculous, incredibly charming companion with sweetness galore and is Meemaw-level approval… I think we might be a perfect match. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and bring home Moon Pie — the snack-sized name with the full-sized heart. 🖤🤍🥧🐾

Story
Please note that we are a foster based rescue in TX. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. We transport them to new states once adopted. ALL ADOPTERS MUST BE 21+. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org JAMIE - 1-Year-Old Mix Looking for His Forever Cowboy/Cowgirl Howdy, partner! I'm Jamie, and I've got a story to tell you. I didn't have the best start to life. I spent my early days in a garage with my siblings, pretty scared of the world and unsure about people. But then something magical happened: I met my foster dad, and he showed me that the world is actually AMAZING. These days? You'll find me rocking my cowboy hat at breweries, coffee shops, restaurants, and just about anywhere my foster dad goes. I've discovered that I'm kind of a star. People love me, and honestly, I love them right back! I've come SO far from that scared puppy in the garage. Now I'm the guy who greets everyone with a wagging tail and makes friends wherever I go. Here's what you should know about me: I'm basically a 60-pound shadow who wants to be wherever you are. Couch time? I'm there for cuddles. Running errands? Let me grab my hat! Long hike? Count me in (but fair warning, you might catch me napping afterward with my tongue hanging out. It's my signature look). I've got that perfect mix of energy. I love a good play session with my stuffed pony or a game of fetch, but I'm also totally content just hanging out by your side. I'm a gentleman on leash, I know sit and stay, I'm house-trained, and I even know how to use the dog door. I'm crate-trained too, though I'd much rather be snuggled up next to you. I LOVE other dogs and enjoy playing with them, and here's something special about me: even when other dogs have been rude or aggressive toward me, I've never once snapped back. I just don't have a mean bone in my body. I'm great with kids, food-motivated (which means I'm super easy to train!), and I promise I won't destroy your toys. I just like to play with them. I'm looking for a home where I can be part of the family, ideally with someone who's home often or has a yard where I can hang out. I haven't been tested with cats, so that's a mystery we'd have to solve together. The bottom line? I went from a scared, unsocialized puppy to a confident, hat-wearing social butterfly who just wants to be your best friend. I've got so much love to give, and I'm ready to find my forever person to share adventures with. Ready to adopt a cowboy? Let's ride off into the sunset together! 🤠

Story
Animal Information: Pixie is an adorable 4.5-month-old Boxer mix weighing around 15lbs who arrived at the shelter with Parvo and beat it! She is quite the fighter and deserves this second chance at life. She is now testing negative, and has been friendly and sweet with people and dogs. We are very excited to welcome her to the Seattle area and help her find her family. Foster Profile: Pixie is a sweet, affectionate companion who thrives on being close to her people. When out on walks, she stays right by your side, making her a perfect walking buddy. She naturally sits at elevators, traffic lights, or when you pause—sometimes even sitting right on your foot or gently placing her paw on you. At home, she’s your loyal shadow, quietly resting at your feet or snuggling on the couch. She adores snuggling, happily sleeping in your arms or on your chest. Every morning, as soon as her crate opens, she eagerly jumps into your lap for cuddles. One of her endearing quirks is that she occasionally nibbles on her own little paws, adding to her charm.  She’s already doing great with potty training—she knows to go outside—and she’s comfortable in her crate, especially with her favorite treat. Pixie is a quick learner—she picks up commands like “sit” or “lie down” in no time. She’s friendly and welcoming to visitors and other dogs, showing calm curiosity even with bigger dogs and staying composed around traffic. Pixie’s gentle, loving nature—along with her adorable quirks—will make her the perfect cuddly addition to any home. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus Animal Shelter. She will be transferred via START, arriving to foster care on 5/14/26 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.  May 26, 2026, 4:38 am

Story
Animal Information: Bear is an estimated 6 months old (DOB 11/6/2025) male large mixed breed -- we could see boxer, rottie, bully breed, even some black mouth cur, ridgeback or shephered! Whatever he is, he is adorable, biddable and very smart. This little pup is confident, resilient, and takes everything in stride. He is social and playful with friendly dogs and respectful of grumpy dogs with strong boundaries. He eats in the crate, sleeps in the crate through the night, and has had no accidents in the crate: a great start! He's getting the hang of potty training and should be good to go with such a few days of consistency (he's a super quick learner!) He loves to play with toys, and especially likes tug! Promising toy drive, AND pack drive! Also, food motivated. A motivated owner's dream! He picked up "Sit" in about one minute, and happily follows a person around even without a leash! His most annoying quality is that he gets underfoot. He's not vocal or demanding, and while he loves to cuddle (after a vigorous play session) he doesn't exhibit separation anxiety. He is currently fostered with several large dogs and three young kids (ages 2-6) and he's super playful with them. He does have razor sharp puppy teeth and while he's learning the rules any kids would most certainly be scratched or nipped and so, while we won't say "NO KIDS" this will very much depend on the kids (and parents) comfort level with puppy behaviors. This experienced foster's educated opinion is that Bear has all the stuff to be a confident, social and friendly dog with other dogs and people; he has not been formally tested with cats but based on  his "look"  suspect that couuld be tricky. He's a really fun dog and is going to make someone a really nice buddy.  Animal Information: Bear is an estimated 6 month old (DOB 11/6/2025) male, large mixed-breed puppy. We see hints of boxer, rottie, bully breed, black mouth cur, ridgeback, or shepherd. Whatever the mix, he’s undeniably adorable, biddable, and very smart. Bear is confident, resilient, and takes new experiences in stride. He’s social and playful with friendly dogs and respectfully backs off from grumpy ones with clear boundaries. He’s off to a fantastic start with training: Bear eats and sleeps in his crate through the night with no accidents and is quickly picking up potty training with a little consistency. He loves toys - especially tug - and shows promising toy drive, strong pack drive, and he’s very food motivated (a trainer’s dream!). He learned “sit” in about a minute and happily follows his person around, even off leash; leash-training is going well, too! His most annoying quality? He tends to be underfoot (which can be stressful given how little he is compared to the other dogs in his foster home!) Even so, he’s not vocal or overly demanding and shows no signs of separation anxiety. Bear loves to play but crashes hard too. After a vigorous play session, he enjoys cuddling or snoozing four-legs-up in his crate. Bear is currently fostered with several large dogs and three young kids (ages 2-6) and is playful and friendly with them. Like all puppies, he has razor-sharp teeth and is still learning appropriate mouth manners, so placement with kids will depend on their (and their parents’) comfort level with normal puppy nips and scratches. He hasn’t been tested with cats, and given his possible breed mix, that may be a challenge. Overall, his foster believes Bear has all the ingredients to grow into a confident, social, friendly companion, and he’s going to make someone a really great buddy. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Bear was surrendered surrendered to our rescue by someone who had purchased on Craigslist two days earlier. We have been in communications with the Craigslist Seller and have some basic background on him. He is currently fostered in Bothell and available for adoption to the greater Seattle area.May 26, 2026, 4:38 am

Story
Monty is a lovable, sweet-natured pup who’s always up for a car ride and never turns down a peanut butter lick mat! He’s an excellent leash-walker and feels right at home on busy trails, making him a great companion for outdoor adventures. While Monty is full of love, he can be a bit sensitive to loud noises like fireworks or unexpected knocks at the door—he’ll thrive in a calm, understanding home that gives him a sense of security. Monty enjoys social time with other dogs and can have dog friends, but he needs to be the only animal in the home. He does best without sharing his living space with other pets, where he can relax and feel safe.

***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved hospice foster on our 5/30/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement – part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering fostering Brownie? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Sweet Brownie is a gentle soul who proves that age is truly just a number when it comes to a heart full of love. At ten years young, this precious girl has transitioned into her golden years with grace and a quiet, comforting presence. While her eyesight and hearing aren't quite as sharp as they used to be, Brownie navigates the world through her remarkably keen sense of smell and the soft touch of a friendly hand. She doesn't need to see or hear you perfectly to know exactly where the affection is, and she will happily lean into your legs for a slow, steady wag of appreciation. Brownie recently had several mammary tumors removed, and unfortunately one came back with evidence of malignant osteosarcoma cells. Due to this, the veterinarian recommended we NOT put Brownie through the stress of a spay surgery, and that we place her as a hospice foster instead. This means Forget Me Not would remain the legal "owner" of Brownie, and would cover any necessary medical expenses for her care over the rest of her lifetime, but you as her hospice foster would be her actual family, and could decide how you want to create and fulfill a bucket list for this beautiful soul. Life with Brownie is all about the simple, beautiful moments like a sun-drenched nap on a soft rug or the predictable comfort of a slow stroll around the block. Because she relies on her other senses, she is looking for a calm and stable hospice foster home where she can learn the layout and feel secure in her surroundings. She is the ultimate companion for someone seeking a low-energy, soulful friend who asks for very little but gives back an immense amount of quiet devotion. Brownie may move a little slower these days, but her capacity for companionship is boundless, and she is more than ready to spend her retirement being cherished by a family who appreciates the beauty of a senior dog. To ensure Brownie finds the safest possible retirement spot, it is important to note that a single-story home or a living space without significant stairs would be her absolute dream. Because her vision and hearing are limited, navigating steps can be a bit tricky, and she would much prefer a flat layout where she can confidently map out her surroundings. We would recommend a home with no other dogs, or a similarly slow and sensory-challenged dog, and no cats for Brownie please. She weighs almost 90 pounds, something to consider when taking in a hospice dog - can you (alone or with help) lift her into a vehicle if/when needed? All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Brownie is a suggested minimum of HOSPICE FOSTER NEEDED, NO FEE (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

***NOTE: This pet is currently at the shelter in Republic, WA, and can be delivered to an approved adopter on our 5/30/26 adopted pet transport to Monroe, WA to begin a 30-day trial placement – part of our distance adoption program.*** Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application Please do not call the shelter; do the application first. Meet Milo, an amazing (almost)-6 year old American Bulldog mix who makes everyone smile with his vibrant personality. He is perfect for adventures, hikes & more! (NOTE: his age is a guess, as he was originally a stray - he could be a year or two younger than estimated). He weighs about 60#, is house trained, & loves people. He is dog selective so it's recommended he be an only dog, best to err on the side of caution. He is very strong & is great with kids, but could knock over toddlers with his boundless enthusiasm. NO CATS for Milo, please – he will be a wonderful only-pet, and looks forward to meeting your every need in a companion. Milo is a high-energy athlete who loves being outside with his favorite people. Whether you are looking for a dedicated hiking partner or a champion zoomie-competitor for your backyard, this boy is up for the task. He’ll thrive in a home that can keep his keen mind as busy as his paws through training, puzzles, and plenty of outdoor play. He is a ready & willing student just waiting for a family to teach him the ropes and turn all that enthusiasm into refined skill. He already knows “sit” and “shake” (“paw”) and responds to “Lay” (which could easily be translated for him to “lie down” should the grammar bug you as much as it does me, HA). While his energy is boundless, his favorite place to be is right by your side. After a long day of exploring, Milo’s affectionate side takes over, and he’s more than happy to settle in for some serious ear scratches and belly rubs. He seeks an active household that can match his zest for life. If you have the space in your home and your heart for a smart, spirited, and soulful companion, Milo may be your perfect match! Fair warning: Milo is NOT a dog to leave outside alone for long periods. If he decides he is missing you, he has some ninja-like parkour skills with which to get himself out of isolation and into your arms. All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Milo is a suggested minimum of $150 (more gratefully accepted).
