Story
came in with FaithBiggie 10 yo male Boxer Lab Mix 75 pounds Only Dog Dog Savvy Older Kid Friendly Crate & Leash Trained Fostered in Everett, WA Hi, my name is Biggie, I’m pretty relaxed, love to quietly play with my stuffed animals. I love to give kisses, go on walks and cuddle in bed. I really don't care to be completely alone so a person who is home more often than not would be my favorite. My dirty little secret is that I would really like to get to know rabbits and squirrels up close and personal. I mean they are moving pretty quick and I want to know WHY!?! What’s the rush anyway? I am a mellow dude 99% of the time, so can you really blame me for being curious about things that move fast and smell yummy? I enjoy other dogs from a distance, yet they are too busy for my personal taste and am too old to be jumped on like a teenager. I like people, although no over the top petting for me please, it feels weird, my chin is a better scratch spot, and I don't see 2 legged people greeting each other like that, so why me? Stuffies are great, I like meals and snacks although my foster pops says I could use a bit less enjoyment on the food, sheesh, kind of a drag. If you are interested in a happy go lucky mellow fur kid who loves to love, then consider Biggies as a dude for you! Gabby 9 yo female Fawn  60 pounds ONLY DOG - NO CATS Loves her Peeps Bark Guards if Afraid Doesn't Care for Socializing No Crate - Fine when out Slow Intro to new things Fostered in Portland, OR Gabby needs her forever HUMAN friend/family. Just look into her eyes. The sweetest face. How can you refuse? She has been waiting for a we bit, patiently, pretending like her feelings are not hurt. Eagerly waiting for the family that’s meant to be. She hates to admit it but prefers to be your one and only - the apple of your eye. Don’t let Gabby’s age fool you. She’s 9 years old but young at heart and can talk you into a game of chase over and over. Gabby loves to be chased. Gabby loves car rides and enjoys going where her people go but can often be triggered to over react when seeing new animals. With stern, consistent leadership from her human(s), she can overcome and control herself. She likes playing fetch, tug, zoomies in the yard with her people, enjoys pup cones, treats, puzzles, and loves to cuddle up in your lap to watch tv and nap with you. And she gives the best soft gentle kisses. Gabby needs a loving leader who is willing to love her and truly invest in being loyal to her as she will to her forever human. Gabby will need stern and deliberate instructions, reinforcement, along with consistent increments to new activities to allow her to build confidence and feel the love, trust and respect you both will mutually earn with one another. Are you ready to build an amazing bond with this loyal and loving lady?   Apply today for Gabby at:  https://www.nwboxerrescue.org/adoption-form If you would like to adopt her, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this pretty girl, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue September 23, 2023, 12:02 pm

Story
Bubba 2 yo male Boxer/Pug/AST Requires another dog in home Learning to walk on leash Not fond of the crate Fostered in Camas, WA Hello, my name is Bubba.  I can't remember much about my early life, but I do remember being lost, on my own to fend for myself for months.  Some great people finally caught me and sent me to NW Boxer Rescue where I could begin the long journey of learning to trust people, and learn how to just be a dog. According to my DNA test, I am quite the mix.  Boxer, Pug and American Staffordshire Terrier.  It took me a few days to warm up to the humans in my foster home, but now I follow my foster Momma everywhere.  My most favorite thing though is my foster brother and sister.  I have learned so much from them, and they make me feel safe.  For this reason I do require another dog in the home.  I had a rough start in life, so I need a home where my humans are very patient and will take the time to teach me that I have nothing to fear. From Bubba's foster Mom:  The ideal family would consist of experienced dog owener/trainer who already have a pack of dogs who are patient, energetic and don’t mind playing with a goofy, uncoordinated dog with poorly developed social skills. He’s a sweetheart who wants lots of love, but he needs to be active and needs to be watched until he learns some manners. He needs someone patient who can wait through his first week or so until he’s trusting enough to relax.   If you would like to adopt him, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this handsome boy, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue September 23, 2023, 12:02 pm

Story
Henry 4 yo Crate Trained Submissive Female No Cats No Children under 13 Fostered in: Seattle, WA Handsome Henry is a typically sweet, goofy, loveable Boxer boy who's coming out of his shell more every day. He LOVES his toys. No, I mean he REALLY loves his toys! He's also very food motivated and, given the opportunity, would be an expert counter surfer. Breakfast and dinner are two of his favorite times of the day. Plus, he's an expert cuddler! It's taken a few weeks for his little nubby to start wiggling, and today I actually saw the beginning of a full body Boxer Wiggle. Henry is learning more manners and confidence every day. He's a very intelligent young man & the food motivation helps with training. Henry is learning to walk nicely on the leash and he's good at "leaving it" when we see another dog that he's interested in. He does have a very high prey drive, so cats or small animals wouldn't fare well with him. He goes easily into his crate and never makes a peep. He does like to have a favorite toy in with him though. Henry lives with two senior female pups, with whome he does great.  They are both submissive and Henry does like to think he's in charge. He will do best in a home with a submissive friend. Not sure about males yet, as he and the male boxer in our house are still getting to know each other slowly. Sweet, smart, and handsome. That's Henry! And he will continue to become more amazing with patience, love and firm boundaries in his new home. Story
7 yo female 55 pounds fostered in Otis Orchards, WA Hi, my name is Zully.  My foster parents call me the white shadow because I will follow you EVERYWHERE. I will absolutely shower you with love, kisses, cuddles and lots and lots of body wiggles. I'm probably the sweetest, cutest, nicest little shadow you'll ever meet. However, I do need slow intros to new people and dogs.  I am learning how to trust people and other dogs. But once I know there is no danger, I am all about the love!! I also make the cutest little piggy noises when I sleep and when I'm really happy - which is almost all the time. I'd love to be part of your home and make you the object of my affection! Snowball 5 yo male Older Children Good with Dogs No Cats fostered in Falls City, WA Meet Snowball!  Snowball's two favorite things are people and toys. He is a beautiful dog who absolutely must meet every human he sees. He'll reward the person with double time wiggles. Men seem to be Snowball's favorite humans in the whole wide world.  He would love his very own Dad or two Dads so he can spread his joyous love around. He is used to city life and doesn't mind loud noises, traffic, and general hustle and bustle.  Snowball is obedience trained though he needs to be well exercised every day for his training to really shine. He loves his blanket-covered crate and goes there frequently on his own. Snowball loves every toy in any size or material. He loves to play.  He has a puppy personality and needs guidance on which items of yours are okay to play with. He doesn't chew on furniture but he might steal your dinner rolls out of your grocery bags and fling the package around like a stuffed toy. Playing with humans makes Snowball the happiest dog in the world. Story
Piper is an energetic girl who LOVES her people! Even though Piper is blind, she is very responsive to her Caregivers and is excelling in her clicker training. Piper was rescued by Pasado's Safe Haven from a high volume shelter in Texas where she was at risk of euthanasia. Right off the transport vehicle, she was ready to give everyone kisses and hugs and this hasn't stopped! Piper doesn't always know her size, so she can be a little excited when showing her love. She is working on muzzle training for situations where she may get mouthy. This girl is a great example of the beauty a blind dog can see in the world. Piper is always happy and her body is always wiggling with joy! If you want to give this beautiful and cheerful girl her forever loving home, apply today! *Piper requires a 13+ household and one without small animals.
