Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Carol from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 1 year old  female Boxer.  I weigh approximately 44 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup for only $75.  My adoption fee of $1,195 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application. Story
HI! I'M TILLY! I'm a 2-year-old (probably younger) fun-loving Boxer mix in need of a foster or forever home! I'm currently in the Seattle area and ready to meet you! I was saved from a shelter, where I was kenneled with another sweet female Pit Bull Terrier. I get along well with most male dogs, but would also thrive as the only dog in the home, as I absolutely love human attention and affection. Like many Boxers I'm full of life and energy and fun, and so will do best with an active person or people who can give me the exercise and structure that I need. I love going to the beach -- and then when we come home, I'll happily sit on your lap. I'm a devoted lovebug and snuggler (big time!) and I will smother you with kisses. I know how to sit, and I listen well. I'm very smart and I want to respect you but I'm just a pup, so I'm still learning. And best of all, I'm super cute with a great face. I weigh about 68 pounds. Please email for an application.

Story
Miko is truly an experience that fills your heart with love and compassion. From the moment he was rescued approximately at six months old, it was evident that he had endured a difficult start in life. He was discovered in a state of poor health, burdened by fleas and even had a wire wrapped around his neck. This unfortunate past has left Miko with a timid nature, as if the world had not always been kind to him. However, once you earn his trust, you are welcomed into a world of the biggest and sweetest personality imaginable. His ability to play with other dogs is a testament to his resilient spirit. Regularly attending daycare allowed him to socialize and form meaningful connections with his furry companions. However it is crucial to acknowledge that Miko's past experiences have left him easily scared by loud noises and sudden movements. As a result, he may not be best fit for households with young children who may inadvertently cause him distress.  Miko's gentle nature shines through, as he has never displayed any signs of aggression towards anyone. If we were to summarize Miko's essence in just three words, they would undoubtedly be loyal, gentle, and playful. He has proven himself to be a loyal companion, always by your side through thick and thin. His gentleness radiates from him, making him an absolute joy to be around. And his playful nature brings endless laughter and happiness to those fortunate enough to share their lives with him. In terms of his overall well-being, Miko is a picture of health. He is both crate and potty trained, a testament to his intelligence and adaptability. Additionally, he has been neutered and is up to date on all of his necessary shots.  The only minor obstacle he faces is mild allergies and dry skin, which are effectively managed through the use of soothing coconut oil. In conclusion, Miko is a remarkable companion who deserves all the love and care in the world. His journey from a troubled past to a bright future is a testament to his resilience and capacity for forgiveness. Opening your heart to Miko means inviting an unwavering loyalty, a gentle soul, and an endless source of joy into your life. He is a true gem, ready to embark on a new chapter of love and happiness with a forever family. We offer transport from Houston to the Pacific Northwest every two weeks.  And guess what? Big, beautiful Boomer is now over 5mo old, weighs about 25lbs and he’s been in a shelter and boarding for over 2 months. He desperately needs a foster home, until we can find his forever home. Boomer is an active, very sweet tempered puppy that would love to spend his days playing with foster dogs, going on adventures and cuddling with people. He should be living in a home and playing with a family, not spending his days confined in boarding. He has the perfect temperament to be a great family dog with kids over 8yrs old. Boomer is a very smart boy and although he needs more manners, he learns quickly when he’s playing training games. He’ll be a model k9 citizen in no time! Boomer would love to have a doggy playmate in the home, but it’s not required. Lots of play dates will be just fine. And he loves the kitties! He must have a securely fenced yard and because of his young age, he should not be left alone for more than 4-5 hr intervals. During foster, all supplies are provided.

Ziggy is a male Boxer mix with  beautiful brindle tiger stripe markings. We have never seen a dog with such a beautiful coat of different colors.  ZIGGY is a wonderful guy with very polite house manners.  He is crate trained and housebroken and loves to spend time with people.  ZIGGY was rescued from a kill shelter in San Antonio,TX.  He enjoys long walks and smelling all the new things everyday on his walks.  Ziggy also loves to lay on his back staring at the sky and getting belly rubs.  Ziggy is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.  Ziggy would make a great dog for any kind of living if it would be an apartment or a house. WORF is current on all of his vaccinations, as well as neutered and microchipped.  WORF is currently living in TEXAS but can be transported to anywhere in the United States and CANADA.  Please inquire about WORF to set up a meet and greet and fill out our online application to get the process started to get this sweet guy a place to call home. ##1545628##

Meet Kenny! Kenny is everything you would want in a dog. He is extremely friendly with every person and pup he meets. He loves to go for walks and then snuggle on the couch afterwards. While he is a big dog, he doesn’t realize it and loves to be on your lap (well as much as he can fit). He is wonderful with his foster family’s toddler. He likes to greet him every morning with a kiss! He is also house trained! Recently Kenny spent some time at Lucy’s Doggy Daycare and he did amazing in the big pups park! He’s also good with small dogs and cats. While Kenny can be crated while you are away, he is not a fan of being in the crate while you are home, which is alright since he is not a destructive dog unless it’s a good chew toy! Kenny is a boxer mix about 2.5 years old and 65 pounds.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.February 27, 2024, 5:45 am

Story
Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles in his journey. Imagine finding him at an intersection, abandoned and scared, anxiously waiting for his owners to return. It breaks your heart, doesn't it? But don't worry, this story has a happy ending. Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! Like many of our Tx dogs he is being treated for heartworms. NOTHING to worry about as this is very common here.  We will provide the medication to continue his treatment.   If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jack Teller is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy! But here's the best part - this gentle soul is a hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered by the perfect forever family. We believe that every dog deserves a loving home, and Jack Teller is no exception. That's why we make regular trips to the Pacific Northwest, including a special stop in Bellingham, WA, just for our Canadian friends. If you're interested in adopting Jack Teller or want to find out more about him, head over to www.springbranchrescue.org. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this incredible pup into your life.
