Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Heidi - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Heidi, full of youthful exuberance for life, innocence and curiosity. Ready to crawl right into your heart (won't take long either!!) and be a part of a family...YOUR family! I am still a youngster yet, a big puppy at heart! I have lots of energy and am quite agile. I could be a great candidate for obedience classes and maybe even some fun ones like agility classes. I'm a smart cookie (i know cuz my foster mom tell me so!) and catch on quickly. At 11 months and around 45lbs, I shouldn't get much bigger at my adult weight. What a perfect size for...everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes(aaaah, all those wonderful tantalizing smells), camping, being a co-pilot for errand runs or trips to the park! You name it, I'm ready to give it a whirl and have a blast too (with whatever it is) just cuz we're doing it together!! And the bestest part is that I'm also small enough that I don't hog the whole couch for my cherished cuddle time!! My foster mom wanted you to know this about me - -she is housebroken -she wants to be a lap dog; -she would fit well with an adult home with older children; -with her high prey drive she should be in a home without small dogs or cats but will do well with her size or larger size breed of dogs; -she is a fast learner and will shine with an owner that will include her in their everyday life adventures; -she is crate trained; -she follows basic commands and walks well on leash; -she thrives on daily walks; -she’s a family dog and will make a fabulous family member; -she loves walks, hikes, exploring, tug of war and games using her nose and sparking her intelligence; -she’s quite agile and shows ability in figuring out how to jump over or crawl under set obstacles. She is happy, fun loving and eager to bring joy to her forever home! As my short sleek coat is low maintenance in the grooming department, making me more of a wash-n-to type of gal. And you do know what that means don't you?!! Oh yep yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. And you know that's what it's all about!! ;) Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?

Story
Meet Rosie, a super sweet girl with a heart as big as Texas! Rosie had a bit of an adventurous stint as a stray, but now she's all set to find her perfect forever home.Rosie is a furry socialite who gets along wonderfully with her fellow doggie pals. However, she does have one little quirk—cats and Rosie aren't exactly a match made in heaven. Those frisky felines tend to trigger her playful chase instincts! When it comes to humans, Rosie is a total cuddlebug. She's convinced she's a lap dog and won't hesitate to hop right up for some quality snuggle time. But here's the fun part: Rosie's got a spirited teenage attitude. When she's told "no" or caught doing something she shouldn't, she's not one to back down quietly—she'll talk back with all the sass!If you're ready to bring a sweet and silly addition to your family, Rosie is more than prepared for her forever home. And yes, she's absolutely transportable, so don't let the Texas distance discourage you, transport only costs $230. Apply today and let the fun begin!*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Zara 8 yo female slow intro to other dogs, fearful fostered in Everett, WA Hi I’m Zara! I came to the PNW all the way from Southern California. I was a little timid when I first came into rescue, but I have received a lot of love and patience from my foster family that has helped me settle in and feel safe. I am very affectionate and am eager to please. I will do most anything such as going in my crate for a good treat. I don’t enjoy being home alone for long periods so if I can go with you, I love car rides, otherwise a family that is home most of the time would be best for me. I do well with other dogs that are my size, so a home with a buddy might be nice. I don’t enjoy small dogs or other small animals. Story
Missy 2 yo female Older Kids Only (12 and up) Not Cat Friendly Dog Friendly Needs Dog Companion Fostered in Tacoma, WA My name is Missy and I'm about 2 years old. I was found all alone and very hungry. Some nice people saved me and took me to a shelter. One day a lady picked me up and helped me get to my foster family in Tacoma. I was really skinny (my foster family calls me Skinny Minnie) and I have worked very hard to gain weight. My favorite words are "hungry" and "eat." I have a bit of stranger danger, but with patience and love I come around pretty quickly. Now I feel much better and I really like my family. I have a (dog) foster sister and a brother too. They help teach me manners and let me know I am safe. I'm learning how to play with toys and take walks on a leash. I LOVE to chase my ball around the yard. Squeaky toys are also my favorite. Did someone say zoomies? I'm the fastest pup you'll ever see! Car rides are so much fun. I always wear my seat belt and like to look out the window. Cuddles and belly rubs are the best! I know if my unicorn blankie is on the couch it's time to snuggle my hoomans. My foster mom thinks that if I was allowed on the bed I would sleep right on the pillow and steal all the blankets. She's right! I always want to be with my people but sometimes they have to leave me at home. That's ok though because when I hear "load up" I walk nicely into my crate and wait for my treat. I know they'll be back soon and then I'll get ANOTHER treat! If you want a cuddly, smart, super-zooming pup you should adopt me! I'm waiting for you! https://www.nwboxerrescue.org/adoption-form If you would like to adopt her, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this pretty girl, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue April 24, 2024, 9:26 pm

Story
King 2 YO 85 Pounds Dog & Kid Friendly Crate & Leash Trained Fostered in Gig Harbor, WA Hi, I'm King! Don’t all kings have gold? Well, I do, I have Golden Retriever to enhance my good looks. I am very soft, with a long tail, and your typical Boxer face. I love going on walks and am amazing on my leash, I also love to go on car rides and hang my head out the window. Right now, I live with my foster brother and we love to do zoomies in the yard and race, I always try to beat him, so far, I am the reigning champion. A buddy to play with in my new home would be great for me. I was hungry when I came into rescue from California, so I am learning that from now on I will be getting meals and treats every day and don’t have to worry about sharing my food. A slow feeder has really helped me savor every bite. I do well with kids that are respectful after I do my research and I sleep peacefully in my crate whenever needed. My foster family says any family would be lucky to have me. If you would like to adopt him, fill out an adoption application on our website  www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this handsome boy, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue April 24, 2024, 9:26 pm
