Story
Meet Rocky! He's the absolute friendliest, most loving boxer. He is good with kids and great with other dogs. He was found stray, but is such an affectionate and polite guy. He just loves to hang out with and love on his people. Rocky is about 2 years old and weighs 65 pounds. We noticed he was walking funny, so we had his hips x-rayed. It turns out he was likely hit by a car at some point because he has a crushed pelvis. There's nothing to be done surgically for it as it's already healed weird, but it doesn't impede him or hurt him at all. He loves running around and playing with friends! He just has a sashay when he walks, and will likely develop arthritis earlier due to it. Daily joint supplements are recommended by our vet. We're lowering his adoption fee to $200 in hopes that a special someone will love this boy, despite potential future limitations. Please share to help him find his forever!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.October 3, 2023, 3:37 pm

Story
Meet Paisley Grace! She is about one year old and weighs about 36 pounds. She's great with most medium/large dogs and has a happy go lucky personality. She's good with cats and kids, too! She's well behaved in the home, and is potty trained. She's smart and eager to learn. She can sit and shake for treats and will catch them if you toss them to her. She is definitely ready to be a part of a real family!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
came in with FaithBiggie 10 yo male Boxer Lab Mix 75 pounds Only Dog Dog Savvy Older Kid Friendly Crate & Leash Trained Fostered in Everett, WA Hi, my name is Biggie, I’m pretty relaxed, love to quietly play with my stuffed animals. I love to give kisses, go on walks and cuddle in bed. I really don't care to be completely alone so a person who is home more often than not would be my favorite. My dirty little secret is that I would really like to get to know rabbits and squirrels up close and personal. I mean they are moving pretty quick and I want to know WHY!?! What’s the rush anyway? I am a mellow dude 99% of the time, so can you really blame me for being curious about things that move fast and smell yummy? I enjoy other dogs from a distance, yet they are too busy for my personal taste and am too old to be jumped on like a teenager. I like people, although no over the top petting for me please, it feels weird, my chin is a better scratch spot, and I don't see 2 legged people greeting each other like that, so why me? Stuffies are great, I like meals and snacks although my foster pops says I could use a bit less enjoyment on the food, sheesh, kind of a drag. If you are interested in a happy go lucky mellow fur kid who loves to love, then consider Biggies as a dude for you! Gabby 9 yo female Fawn  60 pounds ONLY DOG - NO CATS Loves her Peeps Bark Guards if Afraid Doesn't Care for Socializing No Crate - Fine when out Slow Intro to new things Fostered in Portland, OR Gabby needs her forever HUMAN friend/family. Just look into her eyes. The sweetest face. How can you refuse? She has been waiting for a we bit, patiently, pretending like her feelings are not hurt. Eagerly waiting for the family that’s meant to be. She hates to admit it but prefers to be your one and only - the apple of your eye. Don’t let Gabby’s age fool you. She’s 9 years old but young at heart and can talk you into a game of chase over and over. Gabby loves to be chased. Gabby loves car rides and enjoys going where her people go but can often be triggered to over react when seeing new animals. With stern, consistent leadership from her human(s), she can overcome and control herself. She likes playing fetch, tug, zoomies in the yard with her people, enjoys pup cones, treats, puzzles, and loves to cuddle up in your lap to watch tv and nap with you. And she gives the best soft gentle kisses. Gabby needs a loving leader who is willing to love her and truly invest in being loyal to her as she will to her forever human. Gabby will need stern and deliberate instructions, reinforcement, along with consistent increments to new activities to allow her to build confidence and feel the love, trust and respect you both will mutually earn with one another. Are you ready to build an amazing bond with this loyal and loving lady?   Apply today for Gabby at:  https://www.nwboxerrescue.org/adoption-form If you would like to adopt her, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this pretty girl, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue October 1, 2023, 9:24 pm

Story
Bubba 2 yo male Boxer/Pug/AST Requires another dog in home Learning to walk on leash Not fond of the crate Fostered in Camas, WA Hello, my name is Bubba.  I can't remember much about my early life, but I do remember being lost, on my own to fend for myself for months.  Some great people finally caught me and sent me to NW Boxer Rescue where I could begin the long journey of learning to trust people, and learn how to just be a dog. According to my DNA test, I am quite the mix.  Boxer, Pug and American Staffordshire Terrier.  It took me a few days to warm up to the humans in my foster home, but now I follow my foster Momma everywhere.  My most favorite thing though is my foster brother and sister.  I have learned so much from them, and they make me feel safe.  For this reason I do require another dog in the home.  I had a rough start in life, so I need a home where my humans are very patient and will take the time to teach me that I have nothing to fear. From Bubba's foster Mom:  The ideal family would consist of experienced dog owener/trainer who already have a pack of dogs who are patient, energetic and don’t mind playing with a goofy, uncoordinated dog with poorly developed social skills. He’s a sweetheart who wants lots of love, but he needs to be active and needs to be watched until he learns some manners. He needs someone patient who can wait through his first week or so until he’s trusting enough to relax.   If you would like to adopt him, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this handsome boy, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue October 1, 2023, 9:24 pm

7 yo female 55 pounds fostered in Otis Orchards, WA Hi, my name is Zully.  My foster parents call me the white shadow because I will follow you EVERYWHERE. I will absolutely shower you with love, kisses, cuddles and lots and lots of body wiggles. I'm probably the sweetest, cutest, nicest little shadow you'll ever meet. However, I do need slow intros to new people and dogs.  I am learning how to trust people and other dogs. But once I know there is no danger, I am all about the love!! I also make the cutest little piggy noises when I sleep and when I'm really happy - which is almost all the time. I'd love to be part of your home and make you the object of my affection! Story
Meet Biscuit – Darling girl! HISTORY: Biscuit came into rescue in March 2022. She is believed to have been born around March 2020. She is 65-lb pit bull looking to be the baby of her family. Loyal, sweetheart, goofball and loving. If these are qualities you are looking for in your next dog, then read on! FOSTER UPDATE: Biscuit is an active girl who loves daily exercise, long walks & hiking. She has loads of hugs and kisses for you! She is potty trained & has basic training. Biscuit's favorite activities include basking in the glow of her personal space heater, chasing her tail, cuddling with her people, playing with her rope, going on walks and going B-Y-E, B-Y-E in the C-A-R. for fun adventures. Biscuit is a wonderfully sweet dog who is shy when first meeting someone, and needs you to show that you are kind and trustworthy, But once her friend, always your friend! Due to Biscuit not realizing her own size (she thinks she's a 10-lb lapdog), she'd do best in a home with older children and NO small dogs. She wants all your attention and pets and you won't be able to refuse! She previously did live with a cat but it was not a good fit as Biscuit does have a prey drive. (She only chased the cat; she didn't try to harm him). Story
HISTORY: Desa was allegedly dumped as a puppy at her previous owners' property two and half years ago. In August 2022, Desa had a litter of puppies. Unfortunately, Desa's owner didn't properly feed Desa or her puppies and occasionally threw table scraps out the front door for them to eat. The amount of food provided was insufficient, and poor Desa and her litter of puppies were starving, ultimately leaving Desa to venture out for more food. On March 5th 2023, Desa's owner voluntarily surrendered her to Red Waggin’ Rescue. When Red Waggin’ arrived to rescue Desa, she growled at our approach. The dog owner took a slip lead and forced her out and into a crate. She was transported directly to our vet, where she was spayed the next day. DESA RESCUED & SPAYED! Since being rescued, Desa has made big strides in her recovery. Desa is in NEED of a Foster or Adoptive Family to help her recover and learn how to love & be loved! DOG ADOPTION FEE INCULDES: All basic vaccines including rabies, flea/tick treatment, spay/neuter and microchip! If you're interested in ADOPTING or FOSTERING, please go to our Website and Click on the BIG RED BUTTON that says…DOG Adoption/Foster Application.https://www.redwagginrescue.org/adoptPlease don’t hesitate to contact us at ConnellPetRescue@gmail.com, if you have any questions or would like more information. ##1346034##
