Story
Every now and again we come across a cat who isn’t like other cats, a cat who doesn’t fit any of the molds and whose behavior leaves us puzzled. Peaches is a perfect example. She and several other outdoor cats had been hanging around a warehouse, scavenging for food. She was underweight, skittish and we knew it was only a matter of time before she became pregnant. One of our intrepid fosters felt compelled to help. She managed to trap her along with two other cats, Clementine and Mr. Apple, and introduced them to indoor living. While they have all made huge progress in adapting to their new life, Peaches is still a little wary around people but her body language suggests that, deep down, she really does want to trust them. She follows her foster mom around the house and she loves to play with toys. She will flip over on her back and expose her belly, but quickly recoil when anyone tries to pet her. Peaches enjoys playing games on the kitty iPad and she loves playing with her feline buddies. She’s just not quite ready for a touchy-feely relationship with a human. She is very food motivated and would probably be happiest in a home with one of her feline friends or another young cat. As she is not yet confident around people, she would do best in a calm home with experienced cat owners. For more information, please contact us at animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com

Story
Buttercup has had a rough start in life. After her mother was run over by a car, she and her sister were taken in by a family who planned to keep them as outdoor cats. When Buttercup’s sister was killed by the family dog, the family locked Buttercup in a shed to protect her. This was clearly a bad solution and a fellow rescuer asked if we could help. Buttercup is playful, energetic and feisty. She enjoys playing with the older kittens in her foster home and we heard from her rescuer that she got along well with her friendly Great Pyrenees. Buttercup would do well in a home with another playful young cat or a cat friendly dog.

Story
Mia is a sweet and calm cat. I found her near a lake in a very hot day. She came to me like looking for food and shelter. I gave her food. I notice her tummy was verily swolled and I became worried that she may need medical attention. I took her to the vet. The vet gave her the normal shots and said she was fine, so I took her in. I gave her shelter and we bonded. She is very playful and cute. Unfortunately, I've I got a job out of state and I won't be able to take her with me. Also, I noticed that her tummy has grown, but not because of any parasites. She is pregnant. I don't know how far, because while she's been staying with me has not been with any cats. I am looking for someone that can take her and take care of her and her kittens until they are able to be without her mom. I know that this adoption is not easy, believe me it's not easy for me either. If I could I would take her and her kittens with me, sadly I can't. So please 🙏 let me know if interested.

She is sweet and friendly so it’s hard to believe someone left her behind. She took up residence outside a rescue friends sons apartment but after lots of searching for an owner it was determined she was homeless. Lucky for her she picked an apartment door where the resident loved kitties so she is enjoying being spoiled until she can find a new forever home! Story
Amber is almost 6 years old (born around summer 2018). she is raised with 2 other cats and 3 dogs. she was always fine with both cats and 2 of the dogs (which we had as puppies), but when our 3rd dog came along (already grown at 2 years old) and started to chase her, everything changed. she became scared of the dogs and now always hides and doesn’t come out to roam the house. sadly, i feel she needs to be in a home without dogs, unless they are new puppies and grow with her. adult dogs will not work with her. she is a beautiful, lovable cat that likes to snuggle and sleep next to humans. i hope she can find her happiness again. 🧡🤍🩶🖤
