ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Carmel has the cutest freckles on her nose which makes her dilute calico markings even more beautiful! She is sweet and friendly so it’s hard to believe someone left her behind. She took up residence outside a rescue friends sons apartment but after lots of searching for an owner it was determined she was homeless. Lucky for her she picked an apartment door where the resident loved kitties so she is enjoying being spoiled until she can find a new forever home! Story
Meet sweet CoCo. We believe her to be between 7-9 years old. CoCo belonged to my uncle who passed away tragically in December 2024. He had 4 cats (1 mom, 3 siblings) including CoCo. He did take them to the vet regularly, however, we could not find the vet paperwork for anything past 2022. My family took CoCo in temporarily as our living situation does not allow us to have a permanent home for her. She seems very skittish & shy. It has taken her a few months to get used to us & our home. CoCo has not sat in our laps yet, but she does come out and sit next to us on the couch. She loves to be pet and loves to be brushed. CoCo loves to play with the cat wand that the kids (8 & 5) have. She does not really like to picked up by us though. I'm sure she has been thru trauma as my uncle's death was tragic and shocking to all of us. We are looking for a loving home someone who could spend time with her. I'm unsure how she would react to a dog as she has never been around one in her life.

Story
Every now and again we come across a cat who isn’t like other cats, a cat who doesn’t fit any of the molds and whose behavior leaves us puzzled. Peaches is a perfect example. She and several other outdoor cats had been hanging around a warehouse, scavenging for food. She was underweight, skittish and we knew it was only a matter of time before she became pregnant. One of our intrepid fosters felt compelled to help. She managed to trap her along with two other cats, Clementine and Mr. Apple, and introduced them to indoor living. While they have all made huge progress in adapting to their new life, Peaches is still a little wary around people but her body language suggests that, deep down, she really does want to trust them. She follows her foster mom around the house and she loves to play with toys. She will flip over on her back and expose her belly, but quickly recoil when anyone tries to pet her. Peaches enjoys playing games on the kitty iPad and she loves playing with her feline buddies. She’s just not quite ready for a touchy-feely relationship with a human. She is very food motivated and would probably be happiest in a home with one of her feline friends or another young cat. As she is not yet confident around people, she would do best in a calm home with experienced cat owners. For more information, please contact us at animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com

Story
McGonagall is a sweet and soft orange, white, and black calico with peridot colored eyes. After realizing that she was allergic to cats and unable to care for them properly, her original owner began to attempt to rehome her cats. The sister (aptly named Tonks) was rehomed. McGonagall was already pregnant. Her first litter was born shortly after her 1st birthday. The original adopter was able to rehome all but 1 kitten. The original owner had to leave her home and chose to leave McGonagall and her 1 kitten behind. Shortly after being left behind she gave birth to her 2nd litter of kittens. At this point the property owners and neighbors began caring for McGonagall and her family. Due to all shelters in the area being full and unable to take kittens, the little family has been relocated in hopes of finding them all forever homes. McGonagall and her oldest kitten have been vaccinated and are in the process of being spayed and neutered. McGonagall has 4 10 week old kittens who are ready

When she appeared at her colony’s feeding station with a severe limp her life changed significantly. Sassy’s back left back leg required amputation.  Making this transition from outside to inside has not been an easy one for this 5 year old cat. She was tormented by her foster’s 3 dogs requiring her to live a solitary life in a spare bedroom. Sassy’s foster wants to find her a safe inside/outside home.  Sassy’s vet believes she is quite capable of defending herself but we don’t want to chance that. She can be petted and could easily become an inside/outside cat.  If you are interested in adopting her, please send an email to ContactUs@NorthTexasBarnCats.comNovember 5, 2024, 3:48 pm

With no cure, it took supportive care such as IV Fluid treatments and antibiotics to make her comfortable.  This daily interaction of care made her welcoming to human touch and kindness.  During her treatment she lost her shyness, found out that she loved being touched and petted, and lastly got to spend her days with other kitty playmates once she was no longer contagious..     Mattie’s other supporter was another cat who has since passed away with cancer.  We know that Mattie would prefer the company of another female, or two, hoping that one might be agreeable to become her best friend. This in-door only cat is available through Tall Tails Rescue with an adoption fee of $100. No declawing, please.  Text/Call Cathy to adopt or with questions. 817 994 9388.November 5, 2024, 3:48 pm
