Story
ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Carmel has the cutest freckles on her nose which makes her dilute calico markings even more beautiful! She is sweet and friendly so it’s hard to believe someone left her behind. She took up residence outside a rescue friends sons apartment but after lots of searching for an owner it was determined she was homeless. Lucky for her she picked an apartment door where the resident loved kitties so she is enjoying being spoiled until she can find a new forever home! If you would like to meet Carmel, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Story
Amber is almost 6 years old (born around summer 2018). she is raised with 2 other cats and 3 dogs. she was always fine with both cats and 2 of the dogs (which we had as puppies), but when our 3rd dog came along (already grown at 2 years old) and started to chase her, everything changed. she became scared of the dogs and now always hides and doesn’t come out to roam the house. sadly, i feel she needs to be in a home without dogs, unless they are new puppies and grow with her. adult dogs will not work with her. she is a beautiful, lovable cat that likes to snuggle and sleep next to humans. i hope she can find her happiness again. 🧡🤍🩶🖤

Story
Hello reader! We received Boki from a shelter in Denton in 2019. She is currently 4+ years old. She is an extremely loving and sweet cat. She loves to play, curious about her surroundings and always down for a cuddle sesh. Unfortunately we are looking to rehome as she requires more attention than we can give during this time in our lives. To be transparent, she can be demanding, is fearful of new people/pets and requires a lot of energy. We are looking for someone with the patience to provide her what she needs and can dedicate time to building up her confidence. Ideally a situation where she can be the only child for a bit within a rich and nurturing environment. When she trusts you, her love is big and endless. Please apply if you are interested in bringing this joy into your home!

Story
Poor Peewee ended up in our rabbit trap; exhausted, hungry, thirsty, roughed up, and starved for love. It was not even an hour before she scarfed down three cans of cat food, curled up on our chests and begged for cuddles. Peewee is the sweetest stray we have ever met. Completely docile, unafraid, and just wants to be in somebody’s lap all the time. She would probably be best suited as an only cat, and would enjoy loads and loads of attention all day. She is FeLV negative and has been treated for fleas. We believe she is young, less than 2 years old, but there is no way to know for sure, and she is underweight. We would love nothing more than to keep her, but we have cats already that wouldn’t be very nice to her and she deserves only the best after her rough start.

Story
Every now and again we come across a cat who isn’t like other cats, a cat who doesn’t fit any of the molds and whose behavior leaves us puzzled. Peaches is a perfect example. She and several other outdoor cats had been hanging around a warehouse, scavenging for food. She was underweight, skittish and we knew it was only a matter of time before she became pregnant. One of our intrepid fosters felt compelled to help. She managed to trap her along with two other cats, Clementine and Mr. Apple, and introduced them to indoor living. While they have all made huge progress in adapting to their new life, Peaches is still a little wary around people but her body language suggests that, deep down, she really does want to trust them. She follows her foster mom around the house and she loves to play with toys. She will flip over on her back and expose her belly, but quickly recoil when anyone tries to pet her. Peaches enjoys playing games on the kitty iPad and she loves playing with her feline buddies. She’s just not quite ready for a touchy-feely relationship with a human. She is very food motivated and would probably be happiest in a home with one of her feline friends or another young cat. As she is not yet confident around people, she would do best in a calm home with experienced cat owners. For more information, please contact us at animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com

Story
Buttercup has had a rough start in life. After her mother was run over by a car, she and her sister were taken in by a family who planned to keep them as outdoor cats. When Buttercup’s sister was killed by the family dog, the family locked Buttercup in a shed to protect her. This was clearly a bad solution and a fellow rescuer asked if we could help. Buttercup is playful, energetic and feisty. She enjoys playing with the older kittens in her foster home and we heard from her rescuer that she got along well with her friendly Great Pyrenees. Buttercup would do well in a home with another playful young cat or a cat friendly dog.

ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Virginia is literally smiling in her picture! Hard to believe this sweet girl was surrendered with her 2 older kittens Tennessee and Georgia to a small outdoor shelter in South TX where kitties do not stand a chance at getting out unless it’s to rescue. This whole family of beautiful kitties came to us at RT4P and we are sure glad they did because they are not only beautiful but they are loving super social kitties. Any family who adopts Virginia will be very lucky to get such a great kitty! If you would like to meet Virginia, the first step in the process is to complete an application.
