Cleo is a sweet, gentle Dilute Calico we brought home with her sister about 4 years ago. She loves any and every empty Amazon box, sitting at the window watching the birds, and bedtime cuddles with her Person. But, as we’ve brought more animals into our home, her stress levels have increased substantially and she is in need of a quiet home as an “Only-Child” where she can be truly pampered and feel safe. She has never bitten, scratched, or acted aggressively with any person and, in fact, even really enjoys meeting strangers! However, Cleo does feel threatened by other animals and will react defensively and territorially. She has one of the softest coats of any cat I’ve ever met, and eyes that convince you there’s nothing going on behind them! She’s the perfect companion for the person seeking a calm, low maintenance, cuddle buddy in a quiet and peaceful home. We can’t wait for you to meet her!

Every now and again we come across a cat who isn’t like other cats, a cat who doesn’t fit any of the molds and whose behavior leaves us puzzled. Peaches is a perfect example. She and several other outdoor cats had been hanging around a warehouse, scavenging for food. She was underweight, skittish and we knew it was only a matter of time before she became pregnant. One of our intrepid fosters felt compelled to help. She managed to trap her along with two other cats, Clementine and Mr. Apple, and introduced them to indoor living. While they have all made huge progress in adapting to their new life, Peaches is still a little wary around people but her body language suggests that, deep down, she really does want to trust them. She follows her foster mom around the house and she loves to play with toys. She will flip over on her back and expose her belly, but quickly recoil when anyone tries to pet her. Peaches enjoys playing games on the kitty iPad and she loves playing with her feline buddies. She’s just not quite ready for a touchy-feely relationship with a human. She is very food motivated and would probably be happiest in a home with one of her feline friends or another young cat. Tillie is a love bug who loves to snuggle and be around people, but is not fond of other cats. I don’t know how she would react to a dog as I haven’t seen her with one. She had already been declawed when we rescued her so she doesn’t scratch up furniture. She is an indoor cat who is 9 years old and has silky hair. The only reason I’m rehoming her is some family members have moved in with me and they are allergic to cats. Thanks for considering giving her a good home!
