ALL PETS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE DALLAS/FT WORTH METROPLEX MEET AND GREET APPOINTMENTS SET UP WITH PRE-APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY Carmel has the cutest freckles on her nose which makes her dilute calico markings even more beautiful! She is sweet and friendly so it’s hard to believe someone left her behind. She took up residence outside a rescue friends sons apartment but after lots of searching for an owner it was determined she was homeless. Lucky for her she picked an apartment door where the resident loved kitties so she is enjoying being spoiled until she can find a new forever home! If you would like to meet Carmel, the first step in the process is to complete an application. Story
Amber is almost 6 years old (born around summer 2018). she is raised with 2 other cats and 3 dogs. she was always fine with both cats and 2 of the dogs (which we had as puppies), but when our 3rd dog came along (already grown at 2 years old) and started to chase her, everything changed. she became scared of the dogs and now always hides and doesn’t come out to roam the house. sadly, i feel she needs to be in a home without dogs, unless they are new puppies and grow with her. adult dogs will not work with her. she is a beautiful, lovable cat that likes to snuggle and sleep next to humans. i hope she can find her happiness again. 🧡🤍🩶🖤

Story
Every now and again we come across a cat who isn’t like other cats, a cat who doesn’t fit any of the molds and whose behavior leaves us puzzled. Peaches is a perfect example. She and several other outdoor cats had been hanging around a warehouse, scavenging for food. She was underweight, skittish and we knew it was only a matter of time before she became pregnant. One of our intrepid fosters felt compelled to help. She managed to trap her along with two other cats, Clementine and Mr. Apple, and introduced them to indoor living. While they have all made huge progress in adapting to their new life, Peaches is still a little wary around people but her body language suggests that, deep down, she really does want to trust them. She follows her foster mom around the house and she loves to play with toys. She will flip over on her back and expose her belly, but quickly recoil when anyone tries to pet her. Peaches enjoys playing games on the kitty iPad and she loves playing with her feline buddies. She’s just not quite ready for a touchy-feely relationship with a human. She is very food motivated and would probably be happiest in a home with one of her feline friends or another young cat. As she is not yet confident around people, she would do best in a calm home with experienced cat owners. For more information, please contact us at animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com

Story
Stevie is a female cat and will be 9 years old later this year. She likes to look out the window and prefers to be alone with the occasional cuddle in exchange for food. We love her so much but my son is allergic to cats and due to health reasons, we can no longer keep her. We’d love to see her go to a new home and feel just as loved. 📍Located in Dallas

Story
Callie was rescued from our neighbor’s shed with her four kittens. She and her kittens have been living in our attached workshop for about 4 weeks and have all been given their initial vaccinations and have been neutered/spayed. The kittens are older than 12 weeks and are no longer nursing. Callie is a spayed young adult female, probably somewhere around 1.5 years old. She first started showing up at our neighbor's house and our house about a year ago, and both of our families started feeding her independently. She has become very socialized and friendly, and has little problem approaching new people or being given affection. She uses the litter box and has done so since we first brought her indoors. We would love to keep her, as she's friendly, loving, and ready to become an inside cat fully - but we're already at capacity for furry friends in our home.

Story
Stormy's cat mama abandoned him when he was just a week or two old! I took him in and bottle fed him, now he is four years old. It's a very hard decision to be rehoming him, but I want him to have his best chance at a happy life and I've come to the difficult realization that I'm not providing that. I'm struggling with some health problems and I'm over committed with animals. Stormy loves under the chin scratches, snuggling in bed, and laying on the back of the couch watching TV with me. He's pretty chill, and doesn't really get into things. Except he does steal my ponytail holders! Lol. I'm hoping to find someone to adopt him who will keep me posted on his progress and will maybe let me be the pet sitter, if needed. Lol. It's going to be hard to let him go, but I do believe it's what's best for him!
