Story
Meet Coco -- a tiny pup with a big, spirited personality! She's full of spunk and absolutely adores attention. If you haven't noticed her yet, don't worry... she'll do her adorable little spin and twist to make sure you do. Coco is a cuddle bug at heart and feels safest snuggled under a soft blanket or throw. She enjoys going on walks and loves soaking up the sunshine on a beautiful day. She knows how to sit (though her excitement sometimes gets the best of her!), and she is spayed, potty trained, and kennel trained. Coco does well in the home but has plenty of energy and can get a bit bored if left alone for long stretches. She's 7 years old, 9 lbs, fully vaccinated and spayed She's wonderful with children and gets along great with cats and dogs, making her a loving and lively companion for the right home. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Coco is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by their foster, not by DFWRM. .May 23, 2026, 11:18 pm

Story
This is Penny. We have had her for 10 years and due to relocating cross country and not knowing where we’re gonna live we must surrender her. . She is very shy and not a confident pup. she has lived with two dogs and with two different cats at different times different times and has been “OK“ with all. she just needs a little time to adjust. She is very shy. Loves to snuggle under the covers. She would do well with a quieter routine household.

Completely toothless, she still manages to give the sloppiest, most loving kisses you’ll ever receive. She can be shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’s happiest curled up in your lap or tucked into a cozy bed for a long nap.Lady (4 lbs) is her spunky counterpart. She’s a little more outgoing and independent, preferring to keep her tiny paws on the ground instead of being picked up. She loves exploring her foster home and especially enjoys basking in warm sunbeams. These girls came to us after their owner had to move into assisted living, and they’ve shown us nothing but resilience, sweetness, and love. They are pee pad–trained, easy to care for, and simply want a safe, loving place to rest, cuddle, and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. At 18 years young, Lady and Ebony don’t ask for much — just the chance to stay together, loved and cherished, for the rest of their days. In return, they’ll fill your home with tiny tails, warm snuggles, and the kind of unconditional love only senior dogs can give.Lady and Ebony are located in a Foster Home.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date on heart-worm and flea/tick preventative, heartworm test which includes tick disease testing (if over 6 months), 24Petwatch microchip with registration, fecal analysis and health check before adoption, and spayed or neutered-if not already, a voucher is provided which will cover the cost. If you are adopting a puppy all puppy vaccines are covered as well.

Story
Meet Papi — a tiny survivor with a huge zest for life.Papi is a Chihuahua mix who started life as a stray, so new people and environments can still feel a little scary at first. But once he feels safe, his goofy, happy personality shines through. One minute he’s cautiously watching from a corner, and the next he’s zooming around full of joy.Papi absolutely loves other dogs and thrives with canine companionship. He enjoys being outside, sunbathing, exploring, and finding little adventures wherever he goes. He sleeps well in his crate and is doing well learning leash skills, but he is not yet house trained and will need patience and consistency as he continues learning life as a loved pet.Papi’s ideal home is one that understands shy dogs and will give him time to settle in at his own pace. In return, you’ll get to watch an incredible transformation from timid stray to playful, loving companion. Big Papa is approx. one year old.Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up-to-date on heart-worm and flea/tick preventative, heartworm test which includes tick disease testing (if over 6 months), 24Petwatch microchip with registration, fecal analysis and health check before adoption
