Story
Milo is looking for a home with a woman, no children, and if there is a man in the home, he will need to be patient and allow Milo to build trust at his own pace. We make these recommendations because Milo can be protective of his home and the people he loves. Interestingly, once he’s out in public, he’s a completely different dog! He happily turns on the charm for children, men, and just about everyone he meets. Milo is both potty trained and kennel trained. He has excellent house manners and can be trusted to stay out of a kennel when left home alone. He loves to go for walks and at bedtime, his favorite place is snuggled up under the covers with his foster mom. Milo is currently living in a foster home with other dogs. While he enjoys their company, he’s not interested in playing with them. He’s perfectly content to relax nearby and simply coexist. Because of this, Milo would do well as an only dog, or in a home with another calm, laid-back dog that doesn’t expect a playmate. If another dog repeatedly tries to engage him in play, Milo may let them know he’s not interested by lifting his lip or giving a small growl to set boundaries. Milo is a 6 year old, 15 lb Chihuahua mix. If you are interested in adopting Milo, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2487806##

Story
My name is Otter and my fosters love me a lotter! That's because I am such a snuggle bug and lap dog. I am learning so much in my foster home, like the doggie door, house training and crate training. I was scared of the other dogs at first, but now I am friends with everyone. I love to wrestle and play chase with small dogs my size, Usually I have a toy or nylabone nearby because I discovered just how awesome those things are! I usually hang out where ever you are and am a great office assistant for my foster mom who works from home. And the sweetest thing about me is I make myself at home in your lap whenever I get the chance. I probably need a little more leash training, but other than that, I am ready to find my furever home!

Story
Diana is a 9-month-old, 8-pound bundle of Chihuahua joy. She is a playful and affectionate little pup. Diana is in a foster home with 5 other dogs, and she gets along well with all of them. Her favorites, of course, are the ones who will play with her. She loves to wrassle, play tug-of-war, and play endless games of I-chase-you, no-you-chase-me. She loves stuffed toys and will pick them up off the floor and line them up in a row on the bed. So much the better if the toy still has a squeaker in it. Diana’s very favorite toy is foster dogmom. She loves to get up in her lap and wrassle while foster dogmom is scratching her ears, scritching her butt, and giving her tummy rubs. When Diana has worn herself out, she finds foster dogmom’s lap to be the perfect spot for a nap. Diana is very affectionate. She loves to snuggle in your lap in between the wrassling and the napping. She is crazy excited when you come home, doing her puppy Pet-me-first, Pet-me-first dance. As an older puppy, Diana has some of her manners down. By and large she is non-destructive, though you have to watch her around paper products or books left on the floor or couch. Foster dogmom gives Diana run of 3 rooms when she’s gone, and she hasn’t destroyed anything. She is not fully house-trained but is well on her way. She knows to piddle and poop when she’s let outside. She would like very much to sleep with you in the bed, but you don’t allow it, she will sleep on a chair or a dog bed. She has zero aggression and will take dog treats gently from your hand. Diana would prefer a house with a yard because she loves to run zoomies, but she would be okay in an apartment. She would be an excellent dog for a household with another dog to play with. She would also do well with children in their teens. She’s still a little mouthy when she plays and might scare younger children. Diana is spayed, has all her shots, and is microchipped. She is heartworm-negative. Note: We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that seem to be a good fit for the dog.
