Story
I may be tiny, but my heart is huge! I’m Ketchup, a 5-month-old Chihuahua mix full of life, love, and tail wags. I was born in the cold winter, after my brave mama was found tied up and abandoned. Thankfully, kind humans at Dream Tails Rescue saved us—and now I’m looking for a forever family to call my own. I’m super affectionate and I love people so much! Whether you're a grown-up or a kid, I’m always ready to come say hi with my happy energy. I also get along great with other dogs—I’ve got wonderful social skills for such a little pup! At home, I’m doing really well with potty training. I use pee pads and have about a 95.5% success rate—pretty impressive for a baby like me, right? When it comes to walks, I’m still learning. I get excited and want to explore everything, so I’ll need some gentle leash training. But I’m smart, curious, and eager to learn—especially if there are treats involved! I might be small in size, but I have so much love to give. I’m ready to grow up in a safe, cozy home where I’m cherished and protected. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and snuggly companion to brighten your days, I just might be your perfect match. Will you be my forever family? 🧡 Love, Ketchup 🐾

Story
Rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, Marlene has transformed in just a few weeks from a shut-down, skittish pup into the life of the party. She’s incredibly smart and took to potty training right away. She now spends her days playing with other small dogs, soaking up the sun, and rolling blissfully in the grass. Marlene loves being carried, sitting close to her person, and—let’s be honest—being in charge. She knows what she wants and isn’t shy about making it known! She’s a bit of a picky eater and prefers a rotating menu (kibble is a no-go, thank you very much). Watching Marlene blossom has been nothing short of beautiful. She’s looking for a forever home that will appreciate her spirit, sass, and softness. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Story
Meet Clark – the happiest little dynamo around! Clark is a small dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s fully potty trained, has zero separation anxiety, and absolutely adores people. This cheerful guy has energy to spare and would thrive in an active home—he’s always up for a long walk, a jog, or a game of fetch. His joyful, lovable nature has made him a favorite with everyone who meets him. Clark is best suited to be the only pet in the home. While he tolerates other dogs in close quarters, he’s reactive to most on walks and prefers the company of his humans over furry friends. A home with a fenced yard would be a dream come true for this playful pup, giving him space to zoom and explore at his own pace. If you’re looking for a loyal, lively, and endlessly lovable companion to be your one and only, Clark might just be your perfect match. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Story
Meet Tallulah, a sweet and sensitive Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love. This petite girl adores her people and wants nothing more than to be near them—whether it’s snuggled up on a lap, curled by your feet at night, or tagging along to a dog-friendly office. Though she’s a little nervous and tends to shake (a quirk typical for her breed), Tallulah settles in quickly and becomes incredibly attached. She would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time—retired, working from home, or able to bring her along for the day. She’s currently living with another dog and a group of foster puppies and has done very well with them after a brief adjustment period. While she’s not fond of cats and may bark at them, she’s otherwise a quiet companion. At night, she happily sleeps under the covers with her people, and she loves nothing more than being close. Tallulah is still working on potty training, something we’re confident she’ll pick up quickly with a bit of guidance in her forever home. If you're looking for a loyal, loving pup with a gentle spirit, Tallulah might just be your perfect match. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Story
Meet Audrey, a gentle soul who’s truly coming into her own. This sweet girl is making tremendous progress in her foster home and has begun to show her charming personality. She’s found comfort and companionship in the resident dogs and especially loves cuddling up at night with a shy Yorkie foster. Audrey enjoys exploring the yard and reliably goes outside for potty breaks. At night, she happily burrows under the blankets and settles in by her foster mom’s feet—a cozy little shadow who wants to stay close. She would thrive in a home with another calm, friendly dog to help build her confidence and keep her company. If you're looking for a quiet, loving companion who bonds deeply and blossoms with time, Audrey might be your perfect match. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue.
