Story
Hi everyone! Meet Snoopy.  He is a Long Hair Chihuahua Mix. He is a 14 pound ball of energy! His perfect day involves hiking through a forested trail or exploring a rocky beach. He is always up for an adventure in nature! He loves jumping over logs and walking through shallow creeks. Afterwards he can relax and snuggle on the couch. He is very affectionate and love giving kisses! Post nap, he can play fetch or tug of war with his favorite squeaker toy. he can end the day with a peanut butter kong and some belly rubs. Dislikes: Walking on streets with heavy traffic, especially when buses and unmuffled cars drive by. The noise is stressful for him, and he prefers the safety of home. He is also sensitive to certain noises, and will alert with a bark. We have been working on ways to provide a relaxing outlet when there is too much going on during walks like a Citronella Collar.  This is a big reason why having my own backyard would be amazing! I like to watch over my home, so new people must allow me a chance to feel safe around them.. Once they walk through the door,  It helps is meeting new people while on a leash. It shows me they are friendly and safe. I am a nervous dog by breed or nature.  I have been trying to build a more secure peronality.  A good trainer and dedicated adopter can help me overcome my fears.  I'm not crate trained but have used a pen. I'm working on the pen being my safe space. I do very well at the veterinary clinic and have gotten compliments for my sweet nature. I also do well getting my nails professionally trimmed.  I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. What I need: No young children.  I do better with adults. A gated backyard. I absolutely love running and can run for hours! My fast, agile body would be amazing at agility courses He can be shy and nervous around other dogs, especially if they don't respect boundaries. However, he can be comfortable with them over time.   ##1867517##

Story
Rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, Marlene has transformed in just a few weeks from a shut-down, skittish pup into the life of the party. She’s incredibly smart and took to potty training right away. She now spends her days playing with other small dogs, soaking up the sun, and rolling blissfully in the grass. Marlene loves being carried, sitting close to her person, and—let’s be honest—being in charge. She knows what she wants and isn’t shy about making it known! She’s a bit of a picky eater and prefers a rotating menu (kibble is a no-go, thank you very much). Watching Marlene blossom has been nothing short of beautiful. She’s looking for a forever home that will appreciate her spirit, sass, and softness. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.

Meet Savannah! She is a 7-year-old Chihuahua and Spaniel mix weighing 18 lbs. She's initially shy with new people but loves to be with people once she gets to know them. We are looking for an adult only home or one with children ages 10 or older. She is loyal and bonds deeply. She is active and will need another dog in the home for company. She is super intelligent and likes to be the boss. Savannah loves to run and be in the sun and thus would need to have a fenced yard. She craves structure and will need strong leadership to make her be her best. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on shots. Her fee is $500.

IMMEDIATE FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Spock! He is a 2-year-old, 12 LB Chihuahua who came to us as an owner surrender after his owner could no longer care for him and his other doggy housemates. Spock is a very shy, skittish boy who is going to need a patient adopter who can provide him with a loving and peaceful environment, so that he can learn to trust and open up. His previous owner did not do a great job at socializing him, so he does have a ways to go in gaining the confidence he needs to take on the world and learn all the wonderful things that life has to offer. Spock has done great with other dogs and actually came from a home where he lived with quite a few and needs another confident dog in his forever home to help show him the ropes and help build his confidence. We are looking for a quiet and calm adult only home. He is skittish and shy and would do best in a quiet residential neighborhood. No city life for him as he can be a flight risk. Spock would love to find a forever home soon that will help him out of his shell to become his best most confident dog! Spock is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi, my name is Enzo and I am a wonderful 3  year-old male Pompitz (pomeranian-spitz) mix) and I weigh 11  lbs.    I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in Korea, where dogs like me endure unimaginable cruelty and hardship. Thankfully, compassionate rescuers saved me and gave me the chance to experience something I’d never known before, hope.  I’m a gentle and affectionate companion who loves being around people, including kind children. I get along well with other dogs and would enjoy a family who can shower me with attention and affection.  I’d do best in a home with a family who understands that rescued dogs need patience and time to adjust.    We recommend working with our skilled pet rescue trainer. My adoption fee of  $1,495 (tax-deductible and essential for supporting future rescues) c  overs Spay/Neuter.    DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations,  Deworming and Heartworm testing,  Microchipping,  Boarding fees, health certificate, and airline transport from Korea to Seattle.    For safety, all adopted dogs must have a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag. You can bring your own or purchase one from us.    Your support allows Ginger’s Pet Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to continue its lifesaving work and provide critical medical care for animals in  need.    Email  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  to request an adoption application or to learn more about me. Donations to help with vet bills at Greenwood Vet are always appreciated—they make rescues like mine possible.     August 9, 2025, 3:28 am

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi! My name is Lulabelle, and I came all the way from Korea in hopes of finding my forever home. I am a 6-year-old Pomeranian girl and weigh about 12 lbs — small, fluffy, and full of charm. (My age and weight are estimated.) I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in South Korea, and now I’m waiting for my chance to travel to Seattle. To make this possible, I need a foster home to welcome me when I arrive. Once I’m here, I’ll also be looking for my forever adoptive home filled with love and care. So far, I have not shown any issues with other dogs, children, or people — but every dog may respond differently when settling into a new home. My adoption fee of $1,695 is a donation that is non-refundable and helps save the lives of other dogs in need. It covers my spay, vaccinations, microchip, boarding fees, health certificate, and transport costs from Korea to Seattle. A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you can bring your own or purchase one from us. We do not guarantee the breed or age of our dogs. Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, and all adoption fees are donations that help more dogs get their second chance. If you think you can open your heart to a very special girl like me, please fill out an adoption or foster application on my page at www.gingerspetrescue.org .September 20, 2025, 10:36 pm
