WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾💛 Meet Gordo — 8 Pounds of Love, Loyalty, and Lap-Warming Perfection 💛🐾 Gordo has been waiting… and waiting… and we honestly don’t understand how this little guy is still looking for his forever home. At just 3 years old and 8 pounds, Gordo is living proof that the very best things come in the tiniest, snuggliest packages. This sweet Chihuahua mix is equal parts lap warmer, cuddle champion, and loyal sidekick. He adores being close to his person and will happily follow you from room to room like a tiny, devoted shadow. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who truly wants to be with you — not just near you — Gordo is your guy. He does have a soft spot for the ladies (Gentlemen, don’t worry—he’ll accept you too, but he’s a mama’s boy at heart!) and would thrive in a calm, quiet home. He’d also be thrilled to have a small doggie friend to sunbathe with and share naps. Kids aren’t really his vibe, but cozy couches and peaceful routines? Absolutely. 💊 A little extra love note about Gordo: Gordo is considered special needs due to occasional seizures, which are well managed with daily medication (Levetiracetam and Phenobarbital - about $50 every two months). He takes his meds like a champ and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit. He’ll also need Midazolam on hand, just in case he does have a seizure — though thankfully, his meds are working very well and he rarely has one. Now for the fun stuff… 🐶 Gordo’s Favorite Things: • Being used as a living neck pillow • Sunbathing like a tiny beach bum • Napping with doggie friends • Shamelessly begging for watermelon 🍉 • Sitting in your lap… always • Staring down the vacuum like a brave little warrior He’s house trained, crate trained, and happily trots into his crate at mealtime like the good boy he is. Gordo is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly loving — the kind of dog who bonds deeply and gives his whole heart once he feels safe. This little guy has been through a lot in his short life, but he hasn’t let it dim his sweetness or his desire to love. He’s just waiting for someone to see how special he truly is and give him the calm, loving home he deserves. 💛 If you’re looking for a devoted companion, a constant cuddle buddy, and a tiny soul who will adore you endlessly — Gordo is ready to wiggle into your heart and home! Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give this sweet boy the forever home he’s been waiting for. 💖

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Lucy – Tiny Thief, Big Heart 🐾💛 2 years old • 12 pounds of pure personality This little rascal is Lucy — and she may be small, but she’s packed full of sweetness, spunk, and just a dash of mischievous charm. Lucy came from a hoarding situation, so she’s still learning all about the good life most dogs take for granted — things like kind words, soft beds, gentle pets, and treats that don’t have to be shared with 50 of your closest canine neighbors. She’s discovering that being a dog can actually be pretty wonderful. At first, Lucy can be a little shy. New people and new places take her a bit of time to warm up to. But once she feels safe? Out comes the happy, goofy, secretly hilarious little girl hiding inside. She’s house trained, crate trained, and not food aggressive. On walks she’s more “sniff investigator” than marathon athlete — she doesn’t walk great on a leash... yet, because she’s too busy trying to smell every single leaf, blade of grass, and mysterious sidewalk crumb. Priorities! Lucy enjoys being outside, soaking up the sun, and observing the world from her favorite perch. She’s slowly gaining confidence in the house and has recently started exploring more on her own — a HUGE milestone for a girl who once didn’t know what home life even meant. She isn’t overly social with bigger dogs and would likely be happiest as an only dog or with calm dogs her own size. Loud, boisterous canine roommates can feel a little overwhelming to her. Now for the BEST part about Lucy… Lucy is a THIEF. 😄 Her foster brother Buddy leaves toys scattered everywhere, and Lucy has developed a top-secret operation. When Buddy isn’t looking, she sneaks off her perch, carefully steals one of his toys, and proudly carries it back to her spot like she just pulled off the heist of the century. No remorse. Just adorable criminal activity. And as if that wasn’t cute enough, Lucy has one more irresistible trick up her tiny sleeve — she does the SWEETEST little paw wave when she’s happy or asking for attention. It’s her signature move, and it’s basically impossible to resist. What Lucy needs most is a patient, gentle person or family who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and comfortable — without rushing her. She’s already come so far, and with a little more love and understanding, she’s going to blossom even more. Lucy is a very happy girl who is slowly learning how to just “be a dog.” And watching her discover joy, trust, and confidence is one of the most rewarding things ever. If you’re looking for a small companion with a tender heart, a silly streak, and a future career in toy theft, Lucy might just be your perfect match. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let this tiny treasure warm up your world and put joy in your heart! 💛🐾

Story
Animal Profile: Aragorn is an estimated 2-year-old, 11 lb Chihuahua mix. He was rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services, where he was at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space. Aragorn was nervous in the kennel, but was easily handled. He will do so much better outside of a noisy, stressful shelter. He was brought in with several other Chihuahuas (Frodo and Pippin) and is dog friendly. Foster Update:  Aragorn is a timid little cutie that is looking for a mellow home with another playful dog. Aragorn will need a patient and confident adopter who can show him the world is not so scary and provide the security he needs as he gains confidence. Aragorn needs a secure and quiet environment with a fully fenced yard; he does enjoy climbing trees so adopters should be mindful of their landscaping. He loves playing with the resident dogs in his foster home. We are only considering quiet homes with another playful resident dog (or two) to help him feel comfortable.  Aragorn uses the doggie door in his foster home and has been doing great going potty outside; no accidents inside.   He is wagging his tail, chewing on chew toys, and running around the house with the resident dogs. He still runs away from humans if we approach him, even with food or treats. He will sit next to us on the couch and let us pet him.  Any potential adopter would, as we said, need to be very committed and very patient, and understand that he may never be a "people" dog.  He's extremely sweet though, and would make a great companion for someone's lonely dog!  Out in the world, Aragorn walks nicely on leash. Though uncertain about the environment, he will look to his foster humans for cues and confidence. He is nervous, but he did well walking through the Edmonds Farmer's Market. He's getting more relaxed around us and strangers. He loves his toys and collecting them in little piles, especially outside. He's great on the leash and in the car. He's really smart, having learned his temporary name and some other words without any particular training from us. He's still standoffish and prefers to be left to his own devices, or left to play with his foster brothers, but he's really sweet. He'll make a great companion for someone and their resident dog(s)! Adopter profile: experienced dog owner, resident dog (or two), fenced yard, no kids, willing to continue crate training. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services in Modesto, CA.  She arrives in Seattle on 01/22/25 via START rescue transport and will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.January 20, 2026, 10:10 am

Story
Animal Profile: Meet Lucy! Lucy and her brother, Desi, are 8 week old, Chihuahua mix puppies who were surrendered to our incredible  rescue partner Saving Shelter Strays. He   is in a loving TX foster home while waiting for his ride to the PNW and is healthy and thriving. Foster Update: Oh Little Lucy, or our little spicy shrimp. She is so fun and so sweet but a bit feisty as well. If you know small dogs, then you know! Her crate training and potty training is coming a long very well. She lets us know when she needs to go potty while in her crate and uses her pee pads very well when we don't get her outside in time. She loves to try and play with the big dogs in our house and is fearless when trying to take them on. Exploring the backyard is one of her favorite things and she doesn't seem to be afraid of much. We have a 4yo human in our home and both have done a great job playing together. Our daughter loves to hold Lucy and Lucy lets her know through a little bark and/or growl that she wants to be let down. Our daughter is pretty dog savvy having been raised around foster dogs, but I would not recommend Lucy going to a home with small children who are not familiar with dogs and puppy behaviors. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued in partnership with Saving Shelter Strays in Texas and arrived to Seattle area foster care via God's Dog Transport on 02/05/2026. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated.February 11, 2026, 5:58 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Meet Tigger! Tigger is a 14 week's old, 6lb Spaniel mix puppy who along with his mother Roo joined us from Texas. Per his Texas foster mom, Tigger is a little fluffball, who loves to play and be cuddled and he is quite adorable and a character, who is  waiting for their ride to the PNW. Foster Update: Tigger is a gem! He is smart and sweet and full of just the right amount of snuggles and spark.  He is doing well with potty training on a schedule and can already do a two mile walk with no problem. Tigger would like to have a dog buddy in his new home. He would like to play with my cats, but they aren't into it-- he has a hard time believing they don't love him and can be annoying. He has typical puppy energy and sharp little shark teeth so children under the age of 12 are not a good match. He enjoys a good snuggle session after a good amount of playtime and exercise. Tigger needs boundaries just like a big dog puppy would or he could become a little terror. He is smart and curious -- has adjusted pretty well to city noises and takes stairs like a champ. He is a good little guard dog and will alert bark to dogs or strangers walking by. He does get some tummy upset when riding in a car, but will likely outgrow it-- not feeding before a ride goes just fine. He has a great nose and would probably do great at activities like Barn Hunt. Tigger is looking for an active family who is dedicated to his training -- he is ready to learn everything you are ready to teach! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization.
