Story
Say hello to Blue!  This tiny 9-pound Chihuahua/Min Pin mix is just one year old and full of love — he just needs a little time to show it. Blue can be shy when meeting new people, and being touched feels a bit scary at first. But if you give him a little patience and let him warm up at his own pace, you’ll get to see the sweetest transformation. Once he trusts you, he turns into the biggest little lovebug. He adores curling up in your lap for scratches, snuggling on the couch, and following you around like your tiny best friend. He loves going for walks and gets so happy to play with other dogs. He’s also good with cats! Blue would be happiest in a calm, quiet home without young kids, as too much activity can overwhelm him. He’d thrive with a single person or a couple who can give him consistency, kindness, and lots of love. He’s potty trained, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He's all ready for his fresh start! He may be a little shy at first, but once you’re “his person,” you’ll have the most loyal, cuddly companion by your side. Blue is being fostered in Salem, OR and is available for meet and greets with approved applicants. If you think this sweet boy could be your perfect match, please fill out an application at SpringBranchRescue.org. Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. If needed, our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Colorado & Canada. We can book your new baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then please fill out an adoption application found at SpringBranchRescue.org.  ##2658971##

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾💛 Meet Gordo — 8 Pounds of Love, Loyalty, and Lap-Warming Perfection 💛🐾 Gordo has been waiting… and waiting… and we honestly don’t understand how this little guy is still looking for his forever home. At just 3 years old and 8 pounds, Gordo is living proof that the very best things come in the tiniest, snuggliest packages. This sweet Chihuahua mix is equal parts lap warmer, cuddle champion, and loyal sidekick. He adores being close to his person and will happily follow you from room to room like a tiny, devoted shadow. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who truly wants to be with you — not just near you — Gordo is your guy. He does have a soft spot for the ladies (Gentlemen, don’t worry—he’ll accept you too, but he’s a mama’s boy at heart!) and would thrive in a calm, quiet home. He’d also be thrilled to have a small doggie friend to sunbathe with and share naps. Kids aren’t really his vibe, but cozy couches and peaceful routines? Absolutely. 💊 A little extra love note about Gordo: Gordo is considered special needs due to occasional seizures, which are well managed with daily medication (Levetiracetam and Phenobarbital - about $50 every two months). He takes his meds like a champ and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit. He’ll also need Midazolam on hand, just in case he does have a seizure — though thankfully, his meds are working very well and he rarely has one. Now for the fun stuff… 🐶 Gordo’s Favorite Things: • Being used as a living neck pillow • Sunbathing like a tiny beach bum • Napping with doggie friends • Shamelessly begging for watermelon 🍉 • Sitting in your lap… always • Staring down the vacuum like a brave little warrior He’s house trained, crate trained, and happily trots into his crate at mealtime like the good boy he is. Gordo is gentle, affectionate, and incredibly loving — the kind of dog who bonds deeply and gives his whole heart once he feels safe. This little guy has been through a lot in his short life, but he hasn’t let it dim his sweetness or his desire to love. He’s just waiting for someone to see how special he truly is and give him the calm, loving home he deserves. 💛 If you’re looking for a devoted companion, a constant cuddle buddy, and a tiny soul who will adore you endlessly — Gordo is ready to wiggle into your heart and home! Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give this sweet boy the forever home he’s been waiting for. 💖

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Lucy – Tiny Thief, Big Heart 🐾💛 2 years old • 12 pounds of pure personality This little rascal is Lucy — and she may be small, but she’s packed full of sweetness, spunk, and just a dash of mischievous charm. Lucy came from a hoarding situation, so she’s still learning all about the good life most dogs take for granted — things like kind words, soft beds, gentle pets, and treats that don’t have to be shared with 50 of your closest canine neighbors. She’s discovering that being a dog can actually be pretty wonderful. At first, Lucy can be a little shy. New people and new places take her a bit of time to warm up to. But once she feels safe? Out comes the happy, goofy, secretly hilarious little girl hiding inside. She’s house trained, crate trained, and not food aggressive. On walks she’s more “sniff investigator” than marathon athlete — she doesn’t walk great on a leash... yet, because she’s too busy trying to smell every single leaf, blade of grass, and mysterious sidewalk crumb. Priorities! Lucy enjoys being outside, soaking up the sun, and observing the world from her favorite perch. She’s slowly gaining confidence in the house and has recently started exploring more on her own — a HUGE milestone for a girl who once didn’t know what home life even meant. She isn’t overly social with bigger dogs and would likely be happiest as an only dog or with calm dogs her own size. Loud, boisterous canine roommates can feel a little overwhelming to her. Now for the BEST part about Lucy… Lucy is a THIEF. 😄 Her foster brother Buddy leaves toys scattered everywhere, and Lucy has developed a top-secret operation. When Buddy isn’t looking, she sneaks off her perch, carefully steals one of his toys, and proudly carries it back to her spot like she just pulled off the heist of the century. No remorse. Just adorable criminal activity. And as if that wasn’t cute enough, Lucy has one more irresistible trick up her tiny sleeve — she does the SWEETEST little paw wave when she’s happy or asking for attention. It’s her signature move, and it’s basically impossible to resist. What Lucy needs most is a patient, gentle person or family who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and comfortable — without rushing her. She’s already come so far, and with a little more love and understanding, she’s going to blossom even more. Lucy is a very happy girl who is slowly learning how to just “be a dog.” And watching her discover joy, trust, and confidence is one of the most rewarding things ever. If you’re looking for a small companion with a tender heart, a silly streak, and a future career in toy theft, Lucy might just be your perfect match. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let this tiny treasure warm up your world and put joy in your heart! 💛🐾

Story
Animal Information:  Mandy is an estimated Chi mix currently weighing approximately 12 lbs.  Foster Profile: Meet Mandi. She arrived a couple of weeks ago, then we were out of town for a short bit, but she's back with us now. She's a funny kid! She's still warming up to our resident dog, Hazel, but has made significant improvements. She might do best as an only dog, or, at the very least, very slow intros with other dogs. She didn't know how to walk on a leash when she first arrived, but we've also seen improvements in this area. Yesterday we did about a 20-minute walk around the neighborhood (without breaking or falling around!). She can be a bit reactive towards other dogs she sees, but again, we're seeing improvements. Out on walks, she's not super reactive, but in a confined space, she can be. She is still pretty nervous, but loves pets and attention when received. We're working on overall confidence on items like stairs, hardwood floors, and hanging out with her people. Does GREAT in her crate and going potty outside. Since we've already seen improvements in this short time, I'm excited to continue seeing her grow and come out of her shell.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Moreno Valley in California arriving to foster care on 2/1/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.February 23, 2026, 6:04 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Aragorn is an estimated 2-year-old, 11 lb Chihuahua mix. He was rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services, where he was at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space. Aragorn was nervous in the kennel, but was easily handled. He will do so much better outside of a noisy, stressful shelter. He was brought in with several other Chihuahuas (Frodo and Pippin) and is dog friendly. Foster Update:  Aragorn is a timid little cutie that is looking for a mellow home with another playful dog. Aragorn will need a patient and confident adopter who can show him the world is not so scary and provide the security he needs as he gains confidence. Aragorn needs a secure and quiet environment with a fully fenced yard; he does enjoy climbing trees so adopters should be mindful of their landscaping. He loves playing with the resident dogs in his foster home. We are only considering quiet homes with another playful resident dog (or two) to help him feel comfortable.  Aragorn uses the doggie door in his foster home and has been doing great going potty outside; no accidents inside.   He is wagging his tail, chewing on chew toys, and running around the house with the resident dogs. He still runs away from humans if we approach him, even with food or treats. He will sit next to us on the couch and let us pet him.  Any potential adopter would, as we said, need to be very committed and very patient, and understand that he may never be a "people" dog.  He's extremely sweet though, and would make a great companion for someone's lonely dog!  Out in the world, Aragorn walks nicely on leash. Though uncertain about the environment, he will look to his foster humans for cues and confidence. He is nervous, but he did well walking through the Edmonds Farmer's Market. He's getting more relaxed around us and strangers. He loves his toys and collecting them in little piles, especially outside. He's great on the leash and in the car. He's really smart, having learned his temporary name and some other words without any particular training from us. He's still standoffish and prefers to be left to his own devices, or left to play with his foster brothers, but he's really sweet. He'll make a great companion for someone and their resident dog(s)! Adopter profile: experienced dog owner, resident dog (or two), fenced yard, no kids, willing to continue crate training. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services in Modesto, CA.  She arrives in Seattle on 01/22/25 via START rescue transport and will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.January 20, 2026, 10:10 am

Story
Animal Information: Butters is a 2-year-old, 10lb chihuahua mix that is friendly with other dogs and people. He wound up at risk in an overcrowded shelter when he came in as a stray. We can't wait to get to know him and help him find a home in the PNW! Foster Profile: Butters is a 10lb chihuahua mix, estimated to be around 2 years old, with a gentle and affectionate nature. He has adjusted beautifully to foster life and has excellent house manners, making him an easy companion to have around the home.  He loves being cozy and bonds quickly with his people. After a little playtime, he's happiest settling in for snuggles. He enjoys going on short walks and walks great on leash with no pulling. He is fully potty-trained and reliably goes potty on his walks and does well with a consistent routine. He sleeps through the night and settles after just a few minutes. Butters is a quiet little guy and rarely barks for attention or at noises around the home. He enjoys being petted and is very comfortable being held. Butters is curious and friendly around other dogs, though he can be slightly shy with big dogs at first due to his small size, so slow introductions for larger dogs are best. He has shown no signs of aggression toward adults, children, or strangers. He would do well with another dog, or as a solo companion. Butters prefers being near his people and is still building confidence when left alone. His ideal home would be with someone who is around often and looking for a relaxed, affectionate companion. Butters is a loyal little shadow who simply wants to be close to his person and share a cozy, loving home.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus in Modesto, CA.
