Story
Meet Theo -- Your Gentle, Playful Companion! Born around April 1, 2025, Theo is a distinguished young pup with wise eyes and a heart full of sweetness. He adores playing with his littermates and foster family -- adults, kids, and even cats! His floppy ears often flip inside out, and he's happiest lounging on the couch with his people. Theo is a toy enthusiast, especially stuffed ones (though he's known to un-stuff them with gusto!). He's all about treats, cuddles, and soaking up attention. While he can get a little rowdy when excited, he just needs gentle guidance around smaller children. Theo is looking for a loving home with time to help him grow -- crate training, leash walking, and housebreaking are still on his to-do list. He'd thrive with an active family, a yard to play in, and a cozy indoor bed to call his own. With his giant heart and playful spirit, Theo will fill your life with joy, loyalty, and endless affection. Theo is neutered, UTD on shots and boosters, microchipped, and currently on monthly NexGard and Heartgard. Theo is part of the Guest Dog Program through DFW Rescue Me. His foster family will bring him to a home visit for any potential forever families for a meet and greet. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Theo is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.September 4, 2026, 12:47 am

Story
Meet Shiloh -- A Gentle Spirit with a Playful Heart. Born around April 1, 2025, Shiloh is a calm, sweet-natured pup with a quiet charm that's impossible to resist. She has a long body, big paws, and adorably short legs but don't let those fool you. She was the first of her litter to master jumping their 40" play yard fence, proving that determination beats leg length every time! Shiloh loves attention and tries her best to jump up for cuddles. Her floppy bloodhound-like ears and stunning brindle coat give her a unique beauty, and her soulful eyes speak volumes, always asking for love. She's playful and affectionate, enjoying toys, tug-of-war with her littermates, and snuggle time with humans. She's wonderful with kids, other dogs, and cats, and she knows exactly when it's bedtime, just shake the treat jar and she's ready to settle in. Shiloh currently lives in an outdoor kennel with her littermates due to space limitations in her foster home. She's still learning to feel safe and relaxed indoors but settles down with one-on-one cuddle time. Shiloh is looking for a forever home that will have time to crate train her because she is not housebroken, time to teach her how to walk on a leash, time to take her on walks, a yard to play in, and a warm, safe bed to sleep in indoors every night. She would love an active family because she loves running around and playing. She has lots of puppy energy left to burn! The right forever family will be blessed by her giant heart, and she will repay them with all the love and affection in the world! Story
Hi, I’m Honey Bun! I’m a 3-year-old Collie mix weighing about 50 pounds. I’m a sweet, affectionate guy who loves attention and enjoys spending time with my people. I get along well with other dogs and kids, walk nicely beside you on a leash, and already know commands like sit and lay down. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, my gentle and curious personality shines through. I’m still working on a few manners, but I’m eager to learn and ready to find a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them.

Story
Meet Bravo, a 35-pound sweetheart with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. While he may be a little timid at first, he warms up quickly and becomes an affectionate, loyal companion. Bravo gets along well with other dogs and shows no signs of food aggression. He’s still working on building his confidence, doorways and new environments can be a little scary but he’s improving every day and walking better on a leash with each outing. Bravo is not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home would be best. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’ll thrive in a calm, caring home where he can continue to blossom.

Story
This handsome boy needs a very special person in his life, as he struggles to trust many humans. Prince might like someone immediately, but it is rare. He did not like his foster mom at all initially, but now he is loving and adoring of her. He is an outgoing and fun dog once he chooses to trust someone; otherwise, he makes it clear that he prefers to be left alone. Prince lives with many other dogs and is exceptionally playful with the smaller dogs in his home. He has not been cat tested, but ignores the cats in their catio in his foster home. He has learned to accept and walk on a leash and even enjoys going for walks now. He is house-trained and has good house manners, which is excellent because he hates being in a crate. He needs a home with minimal people coming and going, and/or a place where he can be away from those who do not live with him, and where there are no young children. His perfect home would be with his human, and how many other dogs his human would like to have live with them.Prince is fully vetted, current with vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This beautiful girl is equal parts chaos, cuddles, and pure personality. She loves zoomies, wrestling with doggy friends, investigating everything, and curling up for serious snuggles. She would thrive with an active family or a home with another playful, confident dog to keep her company and help show her the ropes. A fenced-in yard would be ideal for running and playing, followed by cuddles in a big, cozy bed. She is crate trained, though she can be hesitant to go in during the day. At bedtime, she settles in more easily. Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help her build confidence with her daytime crate routine. Kooky, beautiful, affectionate, and playful, she has the kind of personality that makes you fall in love instantly. If you’re looking for a dog who is a little wild, wonderfully cuddly, and completely unforgettable, she may be your perfect match!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 16, 2026, 11:04 pm

Story
Meet Genie Genie is a 9-year-old, 60 lb Heeler mix looking for a special home that appreciates smart, quirky, loyal dogs. This girl is full of personality and incredibly intelligent — she knows an impressive number of commands including sit, stay, lay down, shake, roll over, and more. She loves engaging with her person and would make an amazing companion for someone who enjoys a clever, interactive dog. Genie loves long walks, outdoor adventures, rolling in the grass, squeaky toys, sticks, and cozy snuggles. She’s also a big fan of treats and “cheese runs” to Buc-ee’s. Despite her active side, she’s a total cuddle bug who always wants to be close to her person. She would thrive in an adult-only home as the only dog, though she may coexist with a calm cat. She is not a fit for homes with children or small animals. Genie can be sensitive and likes her boundaries respected, so she needs a patient, confident adopter who understands independent dogs and will let her settle in at her own pace. In return, she forms a deep bond and is incredibly loyal. Why you’ll love Genie:• Very smart and highly trained• Potty trained and crate trained• Walks well on leash• Affectionate and loves to snuggle• Great hiking and adventure buddy• Full of funny quirks and personality Genie is hoping to find the person who sees how special she is — and when she bonds with you, she’ll be an incredibly devoted best friend.
