Thorin's owner passed away suddenly, and he needs a new home. He's smart, chill, and house trained. He is good with other dogs, and has experience around children. He's good with traveling, being on a leash, and a he's a very good boy at the vet. All and all, a great buddy who deserves loving care, and returns it enthusiastically. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. He loves to play with all his foster brothers and sister doggos. He even gets along swimmingly with his foster brother cats! He is good with people young and old.Obi is going to make some lucky family the most wonderful addition!Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided.

Merlin is a very handsome Border Collie mix. He is two years old and weighs about 42 lbs - not too big, not too small, just right! Merlin came to Humane Tomorrow as a very shy and fearful dog, and while new things still scare him a little, at home he is a totally normal dog now. He loves to run around in the backyard, playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He really must have another playful dog to help him settle in to his new home and feel comfortable. Merlin also needs lots of sturdy chew toys and he LOVES to play fetch (but he'll chew up a tennis ball in nothing flat, so Kong-type toys are best). Merlin is a smart dog, and he will sit perfectly when waiting for the nightly treats. He is ok going for short walks and car rides (but remember - new things do scare him). He will be perfectly content to play and exercise in his own backyard where it's safe and familiar. He's probably always going to startle at loud noises and be cautious around new people, but he's getting a little braver every day. Merlin will be fine with anyone once he gets to know them, but he can play a little rough so kids over 10 are probably best for him. Merlin is an affectionate, playful, devoted dog who just needs someone who accepts him for who he is.

This is Rip, he is not very big, house trained, crate trained, good with other dogs, doesn’t mind the inside cat but watches it. Sweet, polite, submissive, but needs a home with no horses or at least close site of them. Our old place wasn’t an issue but new house back yard borders the horse pasture and directly across from the barn, it drives him crazy to see them so close. We are afraid he or horses will get hurt or both if horse kicks thru fence at him or he were to get to them. He’s protective, will bark at strangers but will stop when told and immediately sit or retreat, he’s lovey and sweet. He loves attention but not pushy. Like a feather if he wants get in your lap. Waits till you tell him it’s ok to eat his food. Will include his crate.
