Story
Meet Denton, the sweetest little old man with a heart full of love and a story that will melt yours. Left behind at a boarding facility, Denton was sadly abandoned at 10 years old, but his spirit remains gentle and kind. We think he’s part Corgi, and although his cloudy eyes make him bump into things now and then, his love for life is still bright!   Denton is well-behaved, quiet, and loves nothing more than to snuggle with his humans. He’s working on house training and is making great progress with regular breaks. This senior sweetheart doesn’t ask for much—just a peaceful home, a cozy bed, and a kind hand to guide him through his golden years. Denton does great on gentle walks and enjoys the fresh air, which is perfect for keeping his joints moving. He’s calm around other dogs, could care less about cats, and is simply happy to be by your side.   Denton is looking for a home to fill with warmth and unconditional love. If you'd like to give this sweet soul the love and care he deserves, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast weekly. Story
This little girl is called Franny and she is a delightful girl that defies definition. This beautiful black corgi / dachshund mix girl is only 2 to 3 years old and weighs 24 lb. It's kind of hard to explain all the Great things about this little girl because you really need to meet her.  What we can say, is she brings a smile to everyone's face when they meet her. She's a little dog ' being' that you call an 'It girl'.  The kind of dog that just has charisma and charm and approach-ability that is rare. This little girl was displaced because her young family fell on hard times and they were desperate to not take her to a shelter but to find a rescue that could help. She is getting spayed October 14th and she has had several litters of puppies in the past. She has a little bit of a poochie droop on her lower tummy which will eventually draw up over time as she matures. Too many litters in a short lifetime. She's got the shortest little Dachshund legs ever. She's 90% house broken right now, but also figuring out all the potty break schedules in this new foster home. She's getting used to the crate but she would prefer to sleep in bed with you if you would allow. Great with other dogs, good with cats and has been around very very young toddlers. She loves to ride in the car and as you can see she wears nothing but a smile when she's sitting in the front passenger seat as your co-driver. Franny has the adorable Corgi ears, an email forgettable personality, the adorable size and funny little trick of sitting up on her square butt for dog treats. Right now, she's a little anxious and has some separation anxiety and just wants to be by your side constantly. We understand because she went from her original home to the mother-in-law's home and then to us and it's a lot for her to adjust to. She's a smile a minute and she's available for the right home that can give her the next 15 years to grow old with. If you are interested, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 20, 2024, 9:54 am

Story
This sweet little girl is called Gizzie and she is a 6-month-old Border Collie/Corgi mix pup who weighs 18 lbs. and is looking to find a wonderful family to love. She was an owner surrender when an accidental litter was born. Gizzie is not only adorable but she is sweet and loving and adores playing constantly. Her combination breed of Corgi and Border Collie makes her obviously an active dog in life. We are looking for a family that also is active and can appreciate and love the energy that she exudes every day. Of course she knows how to snuggle and give you love, but she also will be a dog that requires exercise daily. A fenced in yard would certainly be a bonus and even a companion dog to play with daily would be a plus, plus for her. Toys are her favorite things to have around to play with and when all of the playtime is over she's ready to settle down and snuggle with her hair man friends and family. She loves to play with toys. We anticipate this darling girl to be no bigger than 25 lb when fully grown. Her leash skills are good and she is still in training. She is crate trained,  but cannot be left in a crate for 8 to 9 hours at a time. Way too long for her activity level and youth.  Still working on house training but  Gizzie is a smart little girl. She learns fast and wants to please.    She gets along with other dogs of course and she gets so excited when she meets new people and wants to make friends quickly.  The family that adopts her is going to be so lucky to have such a remarkable family member.   We would like the family that adopts her to be home most of the time.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comOctober 20, 2024, 9:54 am

Story
Introducing Potato! Not to be confused with Vodka who likes to steal potatoes (the veggie kind that is) from his foster. However, we don’t want to steal this Potato’s thunder, so you can read more about Vodka in his own post. In terms of this Potato, he is a one-year old, male, purebred Corgie. According to his Texas foster, he is “such a sweetheart, and super outgoing.” He’s a total wiggle-butt who likes to play with toys. Potato is an owner surrender. They report no problems with him, they just don't have the time to own a dog right now. Potato will be seen by a vet and given his vaccinations. He can come to NJ on the next transport if adopted.
