Story
Sloan is ready to find her forever home! Sloan is a 7 1/2 year old, 18 lb, Patterdale Terrier/Dachshund/Corgi/Border Terrier/Beagle mix. She is as sweet as she is adorable. Sloan is an easy-going social girl who gets along with other dogs, but she can she can display some resource guarding over food and her person at times so she will need an owner who is a strong pack leader if there is another dog in the home. She is an affectionate girl, but does prefer women. One of her favorite parts of the day is snuggling up in bed next to her foster mom when it is nighttime, so she needs someone who will allow her to continue sleeping in bed with them. Because she prefers a more low-key environment, she is looking for a home with no children under ten years old. She can be vocal with strange noises, so no apartments please. Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee
Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee
Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
