Story
When Rocket joined the rescue he was in rough shape. He had a horrible skin infection, double ear infections, had to have a dental with many extractions and had 4 masses removed, which were tested and thankfully came back benign. He is now heathy and ready to find his forever home! This gentle 12 year old, 19 lb Dachshund mix is calm and happiest when he’s close to his people. Rocket gets along great with both dogs and cats and enjoys his daily walks at a nice, easy pace. He is very food motivated (treats are definitely the way to his heart!) and is doing really well with his potty training. He only barks when he’s feeling a little lonely, so he would love a home where someone is around most of the time or works from home. At night, he likes to curl up in bed with his person—who could say no to that little face? If Rocket sounds like the perfect companion for you, please submit an adoption application at www.rescuerowinc.org.*Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2521646##

Story
Simon was recently returned to our rescue and is back searching for a FOSTER or FOREFVER FAMILYno fault to him - after much work, the family's two cats just could not get along with Simon. Simon is the SWEETEST boy.  He absolutely ADORES children. He may not be able to fight someone off your kid, but if some unknown human comes around your kiddo, Simon will make sure to ALERT YOU, and let that that unknown person know he's watching them!  He is very protective over kiddos and loves them deeply. In his previous home, he frequented doggy day care where he played non stop with other dogs and he has done well living with other dogs in his foster home. Cats have different personalities and quirks just like everyone else.  Simon gets along great with cats that are USED to and UNBOTHERED by dogs, will snuggle and try to play with them, but he is reactive to cats that are reactive towards him. Simon loves walks and car rides.  He is also an amazing snuggle buddy who loves belly scratches! He is crate and potty trained.  If you have a dog door, he knows how to use it! Simon has shown no distructive behaviors.  He is well mannered and knows many basic commands (he will really show off for a treat or two)He loves other dogs and loves to play fetch or tug! He came from a not so great situation origionally and is not the most confident boy at times, but it is something he strives to improve every single day.He can be cautious of men and new dogs at first, but everyone becomes his new best friend after a few minutes with proper introduction! If Simon sounds like the great match for your household, please submit an application to FOSTER OR ADOPT this handsome boy. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and current on prevention. ##2196691##

Story
Travis is a 1.5 year old, 13 lb Dachshund mix. He has such handsome markings and soulful eyes. He and nine other small dogs were dumped in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Foster mom says that he is very calm, loves cuddles, and enjoys snuggling under a blanket. He is even starting to show his playful side. Travis will be timid at first, so he needs adopters who will be patient with him and give him time and space to build trust, a calm environment where he feels safe and secure. With love and consistency, he will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion. If you would like to give Travis a forever home that really does last forever, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you. Travis has heartworms because he was not kept on heartworm prevention. Humane Tomorrow will pay for his treatment with our partner vet, and the treatments are very successful.

Story
Abigail is one of the pups from our Swifties group. She is a 1.5 year old, 10 lb Dachshund Chihuahua mix. She and nine other small dogs were dumped on a country road in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Foster mom says that Abigail has a big heart and even bigger cuddle habit. Abigail was scared of the world when she first arrived, but with a little love and patience from her foster family, she has blossomed into a sweet, spunky, little companion. Mealtime is her favorite part of the day, and she does the cutest little happy dance in circles while her food is being prepared. Abigail is great on leash and enjoys walks around the neighborhood. She has learned how much fun toys are! She loves to sit in a little dog bed by foster mom's desk while she is working. Abigail needs a calm loving home where she can continue to feel safe and adored. In return, she will be a loyal cuddle buddy. Abigail has heartworms because she wasn't kept on heartworm prevention, but Humane Tomorrow will pay for her treatment with our partner vet, and the treatments are very successful. If you would like to give Abigail a forever home that really does last forever, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.
