Story
Official intro to Bud (we call him Buddy) Bundy! He is 3-4 months old and weighs about 10 lbs. He is a little nervous when he first meets new people but warms up to being a cuddle bug with time. He will roll over and wait for belly rubs. He does let my kids pick him up and carry him around but he also lets them know when he has had enough. We don't have an issue with this because my kids need to learn just as much as he does! He loves having another dog around. He is learning sit, down and wait right now. We have a hard time with a lot of training because we are still building trust. He is crate trained and sleeps all night without accidents. He will make an amazing family pet with just a little time to warm up! His fur is a beautiful brindle on his face and legs with a white belly and toes and then his back is black! up and cuddled. He has slept on my kids laps on the couch a few times. He loves to play with Dove and has no issues with her size. He is such a precious little baby Little family dumped roaming the area for a few days, a mom, dad and 2 puppies. All super cute just wanting a warm loving home. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, micochipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
It's hard to portray how tiny she is! Kelly Bundy (we call her Peanut) is only 6lbs at 3-4 months old and she's the sweetest, cuddliest, easiest foster girl. She thinks she's so big. She goes through the dog door, she plays with the all the dogs, sleeps all night in her crate and stays dry. I cannot imagine her being here long because someone is going to adopt her and there should be a line so I suggest being the first to put an app in! Story
Adorable little 4-month-old ball of energy. Sweet loving and friendly. She seems to be a mix of chi-terrier-dachshund with long legs. A house fire landed this little girl in the shelter. Family had no where to go and no where to keep the pup. He and the family were safely rescued by local fire department. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi there! I'm Maple Bacon, a charming little lady with a copper coat and a big heart, just waiting to find my forever home. At 7 months old, I'm a delightful mix of Dachshund and Chihuahua, which makes me both unique and irresistibly cute. I've been spayed and am all ready to become part of your family. I must admit, I can be a tad shy when we first meet, but give me a little time and you'll see just how quickly I warm up. Once I get to know you, we'll be the best of friends! I have a gentle soul and tend to get along well with other dogs, especially those who are as calm and gentle as I am. One of the fastest ways to my heart is through delicious treats. I just can't resist them! I also love going for walks where I can explore the world at my own pace-I'm really good on a leash, too. Whether you live in a cozy apartment or a spacious house doesn't really matter to me; I'm flexible and can adapt to either. However, I do get a bit nervous around loud noises, so a quieter home with older kids or just adults would be ideal for me, where I can feel safe and secure without too much commotion. If you're looking for a sweet, loving companion who's eager to share her heart and adventures with you, look no further. I promise to be the loyal and affectionate friend you've been dreaming of. Let's start our journey together today!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Adoption info can be found in the last paragraph of this pet's profile or by visiting this direct link:   https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption Jack is a shy boy that is the absolute sweetest once he warms up. He was part of an abuse case and was confiscated along with his siblings when he was just a few months old. Jack warms up quicker with women than men, and definitely will need another dog in the home to play with. He LOVES other dogs, big or small. His favorite game is to get the other dogs to chase him. He is crate trained (he loves his crate and it is his safe place but he is fine being left out...he's not destructive at all) and potty trained. He loves to go for walks. He doesn't do fetch but will happily chew on his benebone or a bully stick and sometimes plays on his own with a stuffed toy. (He loves food, treats, chew bones...and also butt scratches.) Once he warms up he will give kisses and loves to cuddle on the couch or in bed. He will also happily sleep in his crate if his human prefers no dogs in the bed. Jack was born at the end of January 2022 and currently weighs right under 25 lbs. We think he is Dachshund, some kind of Terrier, and maybe some Chihuahua?? He has a very long, slim body but also longer legs than a Dachshund would have.  If you are interested in adding this pup to your family, please click here (or copy and paste https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption into your browser) to view our adoption info and where you will find the link to fill out our online Pre-Adoption Application.  Any questions can be directed to us at info@dfwpuppatrol.com.  All of our adoptable pups have a minimum requested adoption fee of $250  (pups 6 months and older) and $350  (pups under 6 months old), regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 8 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention. Story
Meet our newest low-rider, Alfred! Alfred was a stray who we found covered in fleas, roaming East Dallas. Fortunately, one of our awesome volunteers is fostering this short and stout gentleman while he waits for a forever family to show him the good life. Alfred is a 14-year-old, 25 lb, dachshund/corgi mix. This sweet senior is as friendly as can be. He is very dog-friendly and he seems to be cat-friendly, too. Alfred is low energy; while he enjoys the occasional yard exploration or short walk, his favorite pastime is simply napping. Alfred is the perfect mix of cuddly and independent, and he's generally happy to just go with the flow. Alfred is crate trained and housebroken as well as neutered, heartworm negative, and current on all vaccines. Looking for a cute senior fella to grace your couch? Story
Marilynn needs a new home, ideally as the only dog. She is fine with other pets (maybe a small dog) she is GREAT with adults, has not been around very young kids, should be fine with older kids, she is very loving, well-behaved and house broken. She was trained for service dog but failed due to lack of focus on handler. She is happy to do whatever you are doing be it sitting around on the couch watching TV or running in the fields on trails she is a lover... Does NOT do well with high energy dogs. Would be best as only dog, or with a respectful dog. She is fine with cats. She has flea and tick heartworm meds all of her food bedding and doggie clothes...plus vet records. She is heartworm free clear of all fleas and ticks and up to date on all vaccinations. Perfect little pup for an older couple or someone just looking for a great companion. Her weight is 23 pounds. Beautiful mural coloration pattern can see just fine. Adoption fee is for her heartworm prevention/flea and tick prev...
