I got Nismo when he was just a few weeks old in 2013. He is almost 13 years old now. He has travelled all over the country with me. He LOVES car rides. He is very smart and is so loving. He will get incredibly attached to you and follow you every step you take. While he does get a long with other pets (he has lived with 3 other dogs and multiple cats over the years, he is more fond of cats) he has primarily been a single pet and tends to stay to himself. While hes very smart, hes also quite stubborn as most dachshunds tend to be. The perfect home for him would be one where his new owner can give him the attention and love he needs with some patience. Ideally no kids, as he has some slight protective tendencies primarily with his food. He loves to play rough, but he knows when to cool down. He is such a great loving dog but unfortunately with life getting in the way I am unable to care for him the way I think he needs and deserves. He will need some dental work - I am able to help.

Travis is a 1.5 year old, 13 lb Dachshund mix. He has such handsome markings and soulful eyes. He and nine other small dogs were dumped in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Foster mom says that he is very calm, loves cuddles, and enjoys snuggling under a blanket. He is even starting to show his playful side. Travis will be timid at first, so he needs adopters who will be patient with him and give him time and space to build trust, a calm environment where he feels safe and secure. With love and consistency, he will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion. All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
