Story
Thor is the God of Thunder from Marvel legends where I use my abilities to protect Asgard and earth. But here in Sedona I’m just a two-and-a-half-year-old Great Pyrenees dog looking for a home and some new friends to enjoy adventures. I am a fit and gorgeous 107 pounds of pure and loving happiness but it’s tough spending over 20 hours a day in a kennel. I am funny and smart too, know ‘sit’, stay’ and I’m learning even more manners. Part of me feels like a lap dog despite my size because I have the playfulness and heart of a puppy. I love belly rubs and squeaky toys. I am incredibly friendly, really enjoy the company of people and am always ready to lean in for a cuddle or a sloppy kiss. I am especially good at making people around me smile!Since I am a young dog, I am strong on a leash and need someone who can teach me about restraint and self-control. I dream of one day living somewhere with running room where no one cares about my leash skills. You’ll want to chat with my care team about a meet and greet with a dog you already have at home because of my size.I am neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and potty trained.Let’s plan some marvelous and beautiful Thor adventures of our own, it all starts with you contacting the folks at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays and making an appointment to meet me. Bring some treats when you come please!

Story
Hey there, it’s Valentine’s month and I am available to be your furever sweetheart so we can both find our true love! I`m almost 4 years old and a Staffordshire Terrier mix who is friendly, playful, affectionate, smart and eager to please my human companions. I love soft stuffy toys that squeak, splash pools, fetch, leash walks, hugs, and body rubs. I am ready to bring you daily belly laughs.I have been enjoying lots of sleepovers at a volunteer’s house and I like watching TV, resting on her sunny deck, sleeping on my very own bed, and exploring hiking trails. I am a very different and relaxed dog outside of the shelter and here after being found as a stray about 14 months ago. I was adopted once but someone in the family had allergies, so I am still looking forward to starting my forever family journey. I got along well with children in the home. I am a huge snuggle bug at heart as I become very attached and loyal when I get to know people who show me love and kindness. My volunteer foster friend can tell you lots more about my personality.I have been bypassed for adoption because I often bark at other dogs. Well Poodles, Wheaton`s and many other dogs bark too, and it doesn`t change what an awesome dog I am in so many other ways! Staff at the shelter are working with me to come when barking by saying `Squeaky come` and I am listening well in return for a little kibble treat. I need to be the only dog in your home with a fenced in yard and sunshine. With a little more training, guidance, patience and consistency, I am going to be an incredible companion. I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.I would be so happy to have a forever sleep over at your house! My friends at the Humane Society can be reached at 928-282-4679 10AM- 4PM Monday- Friday to set up a ‘meet and greet’ appointment. Let’s start a life of snuggles, joy, adventures, and happiness together!

Story
My name is Gus. I am a handsome almost 3-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with long and soft black, tan and white flowing fur. I easily walk on a leash, enjoy being outdoors, I am gentle, calm, patient, friendly and very intelligent. I love being around people and I bring a happy, mature, trusting and playful presence wherever I go. I was surrendered to the shelter when my mom was deployed, and I find myself very lonely at the shelter. I miss her badly and need to find someone that I can love again. I enjoy spending time with people, whether that means a nice long walk, playtime or simply relaxing by your side. I am eager to please and thrive in a home ready to give me love, guidance and companionship. If you’re looking for a dependable, loving canine best friend, I am ready to be yours!I am neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines and house broken.Come to the shelter and check out my cuteness and chillness for yourself, I won’t disappoint you. Contact the super folks at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays and come sit with me for a while.

Story
Hello friends, I’m Millie, a cool looking female 5-year-old English Staffordshire mix bundle of joy with the happiest energy you’ll ever see. I am always ready to run, play and bring some pleasure to life. I have stunning eyes and ears that bounce freely when I run and play. I am energetic, curious, beautiful and we’ll turn heads together as we stroll down the street. I am a good leash walker and love being outside where I can run and play in red rock dirt. I have been at the shelter for almost 14 months and long for the life I had before. I look forward to settling down a bit when I am away from the confinement, noise and stress that comes with shelter life.I am shy at first but live to be with people and I would like to be your one and only forever girl. I will thrive in a home as the only dog and older kids as I do not always know my own strength. I hope you have a yard where I can stretch my legs and release some energy. I am a fast learner and enjoy pleasing my humans. My rescuer needs to be strong and help me focus on developing everyday canine skills and perhaps a roll over trick! With love, patience, training and mutual trust I know I will joyfully relax in my new home with you. Toys, toys and more toys, I like playing with toys of all kinds and sizes. But after a day of happiness and playing I crave a good head and neck massage. In return I will add laughter, spunk, and joy to your life. Bonded buddies we shall be! I am spayed, microchipped and current on all my vaccinations.Let’s plan a hookup so we can share many adventures together in the years to come. Contact the caring folks at the Humane Society of Sedona at: 928.282.4679 any day of the week 10am-4pm; excluding major holidays and come see my favorite toys!
