Story
Meet Freddie our sweet one year old poodle mix. He weighs 15 pounds full grown. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. The vet sent him home with a clean bill of health and is now ready to find a home all his own. He is house trained and goes outside to do his business every couple hours when needed. Inside the home, he's pretty independent and keeps to himself unless you're calling him over for some love and attention. He's not the type to demand affection, but he absolutely soaks it up when it's offered. He is still getting the hang of walking on a leash and building confidence as his previous life as a breeder dog didn't include many outings, so everything is still a little unfamiliar to him but he's making steady progress. He enjoys spending quiet time out in the yard and will happily hang out on his own, especially if he's not quite ready to come inside. He's a bit of a hide and seek pro when he wants to be. Every day he gets a little braver, a little more curious, and a little more confident. He currently sleeps in his crate peacefully at night but I'm sure he would love his own bed next to yours if you prefer. He sleeps soundly through the night and settles in easily when you need to step out. What he needs now is someone with patients and a gentle heart, someone who understands that love and trust take time to grow. He'd thrive in a calm, nurturing home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. His adoption fee is $1500 which covers all vet costs, care and training since the time he's been with us. Get in touch with us today and share details about yourself, the loving home you can provide, and your experience with the breed. Located in Hesperia CA. We offer transportation to you so long as it's covered by the adopter. We will be in contact with you shortly. Thank you!

Story
Rhea is the sweetest dog and loves human attention. She loves her toys and snuggles. We unfortunately have to re-home Rhea because she doesn't get along with our other 2 dogs. Rhea lives in a house with 3 cats and doesn’t show any love or hate towards the cats, they just coexist. Rhea needs to be loved by a family with no other dogs, she is territorial. We are so sad to have to make this decision and we hope a loving family is able to show her the undivided attention she needs.

Story
A little over a year ago, our family experienced the heartbreaking loss of our rescue dog, Peach Pie. About a month later, we visited the shelter with open hearts and met Latte, a sweet Pit Bull Terrier full of love and energy. She quickly became part of our family and has been amazing with our daughter who is 3 years old. As our family has grown, we've realized Latte deserves more space and activity than we can provide with our small yard and busy schedule. This has been an incredibly difficult decision because we truly love her. Latte is well-behaved, knows how to sit, has decent recall, loves walks, absolutely loves food, and is the biggest cuddle bug you'll ever meet. We're looking for a forever home where she can run, play, and receive all the love and attention she deserves. We care deeply about where she goes and hope to find the perfect family for her.

Story
Wesley is a great dog, well behaved, and loves going on walks. We give him a good haircut before the summer which he has now in the photos. My mother has advanced Alzheimer’s and I take care of her full-time and cannot care for the dog anymore. He has been a great family member and I’m just looking for a good home for him so he can live out the rest of his life the way he deserves. I’m trying with all my heart to prevent dropping him off at a dog pound. It has become impossible to care for him and my paging parents.

Story
Meet Rocko! Your New Best Buddy Awaits 🐾 Rocko is a handsome, goofy, tail-wagging bundle of joy who’s ready to make you smile every single day! ❤️ He’s affectionate, playful, smart, and loyal — the full package of love and fun. Rocko adores people and soaks up attention with happy wiggles and the biggest grin you’ve ever seen. 🧠 Smart Cookie: Rocko learns fast! He already knows “sit,” “touch,” “gentle,” and “leave it,” and he’s mastering “down.” He’s food- and toy-motivated, which makes training a blast. 🎾 Playtime Pro: This guy lives for toys! Rocko plays hard but fair, with silly play bows and nudges to keep the fun going. 🐕 Other Pets: Rocko prefers to be the star of the show and receive all your love to himself! 🚶‍♂️ Adventure Buddy: Rocko walks nicely on leash and loves exploring/hiking. He might pull if he spots a lizard (can you blame him?), but he listens well and enjoys staying connected to his handler. 👶 He can get a bit eager with toys and treats, so older kids may be the best match. BONUS: Rocko's adoption fee has been fully SPONSORED by Midtown Animal Clinic! Thank you, Midtown for your support of senior shelter pets in need! Come meet him at High Country Humane located at 11665 N. Highway 89, Flagstaff, AZ 86004. Our shelter is open Thursday–Tuesday, 11am–5pm, and closed on Wednesdays. Adopting with High Country Humane means your new pet is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped (we register it for free!). Each adoption also includes a free health exam.
