Meet Lola 🐾
Pitbull Terrier | ~6 years old | ~50 lbs
Lola is the kind of dog who makes you believe in second chances. A total love bug, certified goofball, and fiercely loyal shadow to whoever earns her heart — this girl has so much to give.
She came to us after being rescued from a Louisiana shelter, where she endured repeated abuse that left her fearful and slow to trust. But Lola did the work. Today, she happily meets new people, hits the patio at coffee shops and restaurants, and absolutely lives for the beach. Her transformation is a testament to just how resilient and big-hearted she truly is.
She's looking for her person — ideally a surfer 🤩 — or at least someone who loves the outdoors and moves at the pace of adventure. Lola has energy to spare and a nose that won't quit, so hiking and running are basically her love languages. Lakeside living? She'll graciously accept that too.
At home, she's an absolute dream. She sleeps contentedly in her crate or on her bed, and won't say no to a cozy spot on the sofa either. She's great with cats (with a proper introduction) and has learned to hold her own beautifully around chickens, ducks, goats, donkeys, and horses.
Because of her history, Lola does best meeting new people slowly and on her own terms, without pressure. She also thrives in quieter environments, so a home without small or boisterous children would suit her best.
She needs an experienced adopter who can be her steady, confident leader — someone who understands canine body language and respects her pace. In return, they'll get one of the most cuddly, kissable, devoted companions imaginable. This girl loves to be picked up, rolled around, and thoroughly spoiled. She will follow you everywhere and love every second of it.
