Story
Hi my name is Sammy! I am a super handsome 3 year old American Bulldog/Boxer who would love a family to give me a nice bed or a couch to hang out on!I am fantastic on leash! I love going for daily walks, and I am a total hit when my foster mom takes me to Home Depot.I love everybody and everybody loves me! I am truly 65 pounds of love. I am house trained, and crate trained! I am dog selective but have made great friends with small calm dogs (I am a low-medium energy level dog). I would also love it if you threw a ball for me! I am a good passenger in the car too! I am such a snuggler. My ideal home would be a quieter environment with no other dogs or 1 other calm dog (like a little dog). A home where my family is home more often than not would be great too! I am a big fan of older kids (ages 8+) Which lucky family is ready for all of my love and affection?

Story
Our very special Pet of the Week is Angie! She is a senior dog, estimated to be between 14 and 16 years old. When we were called, we were told she was a six-year-old Yorkie. What we found instead was a very old, very frail dog who had clearly been neglected for many years. Angie arrived emaciated, heartworm positive, and incredibly weak.Despite everything she has endured, Angie is unbelievably sweet. She is gentle, quiet, and just wants to be near people.Unfortunately, she is too fragile to undergo heartworm treatment. At this stage, our focus is no longer on recovery, but on comfort, love and dignity. We are urgently searching for a hospice foster or hospice adopter - someone with a calm home and a big heart who can give Angie a soft place to rest, affection and peace for the remainder of her life. This is not about medical care or fixing what has been done, but about kindness and companionship at the end of her journey.Angies story is a sad one, but we are hoping it can end with love.We believe there is someone who may feel called to open their home and heart to her, even if only for a short time.If you are interested in being Angies hospice foster, or would like more information, please contact The Farm Dog Rescue.

Story
Meet Milla!Milla is a 12½-year-old Yorkie with the softest soul. She is part of our “seniors helping seniors” program. She came to us after her beloved owner passed away, and she is one of the last two of five dogs we were able to take in - for that, we are incredibly grateful. Thank you, thank you to everyone who helped make that possible.Milla is calm, loving, and incredibly gentle. She listens well and prefers to follow her persons lead - if you head outside, she will happily follow along rather than rushing ahead. She is a quiet companion who just wants to be near her people.Milla does need potty breaks more frequently, and she also does great with potty pads indoors if they are laid out.Milla would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by kindness, routine, and affection. She is not demanding - just grateful, sweet, and full of quiet love.If you are looking to open your heart to a senior dog who truly deserves comfort and compassion, Milla is ready to follow you home. 💛Good with dogs & cats

Story
Meet Toffee! This sweet 2-year-old mix is a petite 30 lbs of fun and love! She is a social butterfly who enjoys strolls around the neighborhood to greet dogs and people alike. When she is back home, zoomies around the yard are a must before settling on the porch to watch the world go by.Toffee is playful and curious - she will happily chase squirrels and lizards (so probably no cats). She is also discovered the joys of AC and loves nothing more than curling up in her persons lap for snuggles. Her only little quirk? She sometimes thinks pillows and blankets make great chew toys - but with redirection and her favorite chew toys, she is making progress! While she is a great size for a condo or apartment, Toffee would thrive with a yard to run, play, and relax. She is working on self-control at the gate before walks, but once she is out, her nose leads the way on exciting sniffing adventures (especially if a fox has visited the night before).Toffee is looking for her forever family - a home where she can run, play, snuggle, and be loved.
