Story
Meet Saphira: Big Beauty, Big Personality, Big Fun! 🎀 Saphira is proof that you can be strong and sweet! A Goliath Malinois/Shepherd mix, she came to us from Miami alongside her littermates (Deino and Chapo) when their former owner became overwhelmed by the needs of three powerful puppies. Why You’ll Love Her: Unlike some working breeds that can be aloof, Saphira loves people. She is social, engaging, and ready to be your best friend. She is incredibly playful and brings a fun, happy energy to everything she does. The Ideal Match: While she is friendly and affectionate, remember that Saphira is still a large working breed mix! She has energy to burn. She is looking for an active home where she can run, play, and get plenty of attention. She would love a family that wants to include her in their adventures and then snuggle up afterwards.

Story
Sultan was on death row and would of been put down today if we didn't take him in. He's a 7 year old Belgian malinois and very friendly to people but dog selective. He is also very independent and loves the environment we provide where he has a couple acres to roam freely. He doesn’t leash pull and knows some basic commands. Sultan also does well in car rides. He is up for adoption but we will be very careful and selective of who adopts him. He will not be adopted by anyone with other dogs or animals.

Belgian Malinois Shepherd (Unknown Type)

Size
(when grown) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
Details

Story
Meet Chapo. He isn't the dog that runs up to everyone at the party—he’s the one watching the door. A large Malinois/Shepherd mix, Chapo was surrendered because his previous owner couldn't manage his strong personality. Personality Profile: Chapo is a complex boy. He is naturally protective and can be reactive when he feels uncertain or unchallenged. He takes a little longer to warm up to new people than his littermates, and he has a tendency to assert dominance in a pack setting. Why Adopt Him? Because once Chapo decides you are "his," he is all in. Once he trusts you, his goofy, playful, and affectionate side comes out in full force. He is a diamond in the rough that needs polishing by a patient, firm, and fair leader. He needs a job, a strong leader, and a little patience. Are you the one to show Chapo the way?

Story
Meet Mavis! She’s a 7yo coonhound whose humans had to lovingly surrender her when their mom entered hospice care and their father could no longer give them the time and attention they deserved. This girl is equal parts energetic and laid back and would make a great addition to any family. Mavis is a sweet girl with a shy streak. She has mild interest in toys, but her real love is a comfy couch or an open crate to take a snooze. She loves bones and gets so excited when chewing that she makes funny noises. She loves a good meal or snack and she will let you know when it’s time for breakfast. She also gets along with friendly dogs and is indifferent with cats. She has a littermate sister named Maxine who came to the rescue with her. Ideally, we would like for them to be adopted together, as they are littermates and have spent their lives as companions, but it’s not entirely necessary. These two are crate trained, spayed, up to date on vaccines and ready for their new beginning. They are well behaved and understand basic commands.  If this girl tugs at your heart strings, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at AllHoundRescue.org/adopt

Story
Meet Woodson! He’s a 6-year old Grande Bleu de Gascon hound and he’s looking for his forever home. He’s a large boy, weighing in at around 120lbs, with a large voice and a friendly demeanor. Woodson is neutered, HW negative, and up to date on vaccines. He is people friendly, dog friendly, and cat friendly. He’s crate trained, but in true hound fashion he will bellyache about going in for the first few minutes before settling. He walks well on a leash, takes treats gently, and knows commands like “Sit,” and “Paw.” Woodson would do best in a home with children over the age of 12. He has a layered relationship with food and needs someone who is experienced with hound breeds and has a commanding presence that can firmly and effectively redirect him if needed. He uses his big hound voice to alert and disarm. Woodson is a vocal hound, so apartment living is not suitable for him. He’d be much better in an environment that allows him to bay the way he was born and bred to do. All in all, Woodson is a wonderful dog, and he’s going to make someone a wonderful companion. If he tugs at your heart the way he does to ours, please visit AllHoundRescue.org/adopt to fill out an adoption questionnaire and get one step closer to welcoming this regal gentleman into your life.
