Story
Hi there! I'm Major, a sweet boy who was rescued as a stray in Alabama by Big Dog Ranch Rescue. I might be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, my affectionate personality shines through! I just need a family that will understand this. I get along great with other dogs, and having furry friends around really helps me come out of my shell. I have a playful mindset and love to engage in fun activities-whether it's a game of fetch or just exploring the yard, I'm always ready for some adventure! When I'm not playing, I enjoy cuddling and soaking up all the love from my human companions. If you're looking for a sweet, playful guy who just needs a little time to feel comfortable, I might be the right fit! I hope to find my forever home soon!

Story
Meet Adriana, an 11-year-old Terrier mix who was transferred to Big Dog Ranch from a shelter in Georgia, along with her longtime companion, Corey. These two are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They’ve spent much of their lives together and rely on each other for comfort and confidence. Adriana is a low-energy, laid-back dog who enjoys a relaxed pace and quiet companionship. She’s housetrained, good on a leash, and knows basic commands, making her an easy addition to the right home. She also loves her toys and enjoys affection—especially once she’s comfortable with you. She is dog selective and does not do well with other animals, except for Corey. Because of this, they should be the only pets in the home. Adriana would do best in an adult-only household, ideally with someone who has previous dog experience and can provide a stable, quiet environment. Adriana is a good match for senior adopters or anyone looking to give a deserving older dog (and her best friend) a peaceful, loving place to spend their golden years. If you’re ready to open your home to two loyal companions, Adriana and Corey are waiting for a second chance together.

Story
Meet Casper! Casper is a 3-year-old American Bulldog mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Originally rescued as a stray in November 2023, he was adopted but was returned when it turned out the home wasn’t the right fit. Now, Casper is ready for his true forever family—and he has so much love to give. Casper is a fun-loving, high-to-moderate energy pup who lives for playtime. Whether he’s sprinting around the yard showing off his signature zoomies or splashing in the pool (one of his favorite things ever!), Casper brings joy and excitement wherever he goes. After he burns off that energy, he’s all about soaking up affection and being close to his people. This handsome guy is more than just playful—he’s incredibly smart, too. Casper already knows a variety of basic commands and truly enjoys learning. With a confident, experienced owner, he’ll continue to thrive and impress. Casper is dog-selective and does best with playful, submissive dogs around his size, given proper introductions and structure. While he may be able to live with another dog under the right guidance, he would do best as the only pet in the home where he can fully relax and shine. Casper is the total package for the right person—sweet, loyal, playful, and eager to bond. He’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh daily, keep you active, and reward you with endless love. Ready to meet your adventure buddy? Casper is waiting!
