Story
We adopted Charlie Bear from the pound. We don't know what his history is, but we do know that he is a great dog. Because of his size (125 lbs), he seems intimidating. But he's a big softie. He loves to play, is very food motivated, and great with dogs, cats, and kids. Ideally he would need a big yard, where he can explore and play. He needs leash training, due to his size, we were unsuccessful in that area. But with patience and more knowledge, he would do great. He's very loving, and has a huge personality. He loves stuffed animals, but will destroy them quickly lol. Keep-away is his favorite game. We are moving to an apartment 2500 miles away, and he would not do well being so contained, without a yard to play in. He deserves a loving home with someone who would be able to devote time and energy to match his.

Jada

American Staffordshire Terrier Border Collie

Female, young
Boise, ID
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I adopted Jada for a shelter 3.5 months ago. She’s a 1.75 year old spayed pit bull mix. Jada needs an active family who is willing to spend time training her. I am unable to give her enough consistent exercise. Jada is very sweet and cuddly if she’s had enough exercise. She’s playful and very smart. She’s highly food motivated and very athletic. She loves to run and jump. For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend a home with small children. Jada has anxiety, particularly around separation and confinement. She needs someone to work with her on these issues with positive reinforcement. We’ve made progress, but I think consistent exercise like running, long hikes, etc. is the secret to Jada making true progress. Jada is easy to train with a clicker and treats. She knows sit, down, stay, look at me, and come pretty reliably.

Zero

Dalmatian

Female, adult , Special Needs
Boise, ID
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
Zero is a sweet girl who would do well in a home with an experienced dog owner who can give her all of the time and love she deserves. She is potty trained and crate trained. Zero does have some anxiety, so she will need a little extra TLC and training when adjusting to her new home. Zero is good with other dogs after being introduced, but would probably benefit from being the only dog in the home - unknown how she is with cats.

Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Apollo is a 4 year old Lab-Husky mix. He is the perfect mix between an outdoor dog and chill house dog. He can spend hours swimming in a lake or playing fetch but also loves a good nap day on the couch. He is completely trained from shake to leave it. He is also kennel trained. He likes a lot of attention and likes to be near someone if someone is home but is pretty independent. He is a bigger dog so he would need a nice backyard or farmland unless you are active outdoors. We are looking for someone who can spend quality time with him, someone who can be his best friend. He is a very loving and devoted dog and just needs someone who can give him the attention he deserves.
