Story
Meet Frank! Frank is a 4-month-old hound mix with the sweetest puppy eyes and the floppiest ears you’ve ever seen! This handsome little guy is full of curiosity, cuddles, and that classic hound charm. Frank loves exploring the world with his nose to the ground — every leaf, stick, and squeaky toy is an exciting new adventure! When he’s not busy investigating, he’s happiest snuggled up next to his favorite humans, soaking up all the love (and maybe sneaking in a few puppy kisses). He’s playful, affectionate, and learning all about being the best boy. With a little guidance and a lot of love, Frank is sure to grow into a loyal, devoted companion who will follow you anywhere — especially if treats are involved! If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, loving pup to complete your family, Frank is ready to wiggle his way right into your heart. Story
Marshall is an adorable 10 week old hound mix from Kentucky. This sweet boy had been living outside with his siblings. He is working on potty training and crate training. Marshall is a little shy because he likely had little to no human contact in his first few weeks. He is going to need help and patience with coming out of his shell and learning that he's safe with you. He is good with cats and other dogs and loves to cuddle.  If you are viewing this pet's profile on Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet,.please use the application link at the bottom of the profile to apply. Story
All of the animals we post deserve the best homes. But some of them have been waiting much longer than others. Meet Leo Leo is a big, beautiful 4-5 year old American Bulldog/ Am Staff mix coming in at a whopping 105 pounds. Leo was returned years ago to HSAR when his mom became very ill. The other family members took Leo to training classes to hopefully get him to be able to live in a house with another dog and cat but ultimately, it was decided to return him and he has been patiently waiting ever since. Leo did well with his trainer and learned several commands and how to walk without pulling on a leash. He is a very strong dog and recommended to be the only animal in the home. He did have a female friend at the kennel but she was adopted. He is very smart and with some work, will quickly remember his training.  Leo needs a confident, experienced owner. We recommend older kids because of his size. He is house trained. Leo gets along with people but a proper introduction will benefit him. Leo loves his Jolly ball and he has a plastic pool in his kennel run that he loves laying in. This sweet boy has been waiting far too long to find his forever family. Do you have room for this big lover?   If you are viewing this pet's profile on Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet,.please use the application link at the bottom of the profile to apply. Story
Oh sweet Nash. This boy deserves the world and we would love to find the right place for him. If you’re looking for a loyal protector, Nash is your guy. He is a laid back dog that just wants to be with his people and play tug or fetch with his jolly ball. He is a 4 year old mixed breed with some lab, hound and terrier.  Nash has ignored outdoor cats where he lives currently but out of an abundance of caution, he would probably prefer to be the only animal in the house. He did previously have another male dog roommate that he did well with, but it’s been a while.  Nash was surrendered back because he was leary of his family’s neighbor kids coming and going offen. He is a protector of his people and overwhelmed by lots of new people coming over. What we would love for Nash is someone who wants a dog that will be their best friend. Someone who doesn’t have a lot of company that would overwhelm Nash. This boy doesn’t need a ton of space to run, he just needs someone to love him and a soft place to lay his head. Are you the right home for this beautiful boy?   If you are viewing this pet's profile on Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet,.please use the application link at the bottom of the profile to apply. Story
Poe is a 9-10 week old absolutely adorable border collie/cattle dog mix. He is a little on the shy side at first and a bit dramatic, but when Poe gets used to you, he is the sweetest cuddle bug ever! He plays very well with his litter mates and other foster dogs, likes kids and doesn't care either way about cats. He is working on potty training via a doggy door and doing GREAT! Poe needs someone who can show him love while he settles in to being a spoiled house dog and not an outdoor abandoned puppy.  If you are viewing this pet's profile on Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet,.please use the application link at the bottom of the profile to apply. Story
Murphy is a 4 year old perfect mix of playful and cuddly. Our best guess based off his features is that he has some sort of wire haired pointer in his mix?? He is an adorable ball of fluff who loves to have fun and explore around the house. Once he’s gotten his playtime in, Murphy is more than happy to curl up next to his person and relax. One of Murphy’s best qualities is how affectionate he is. He loves being close to his people and will gladly settle in for a cozy snuggle after a good round of play. He is eager to go on walks, but is still learning his leash manners.  Right now, Murphy wears a belly band in the house due to some marking behavior. We tend to see this improve drastically after a neuter. Murphy is great with dogs and kids and LOVES cuddling with cats.    If you are viewing this pet's profile on Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet,.please use the application link at the bottom of the profile to apply.
