Story
Hello- Maui is a 9 year old Goldendoodle. We’ve had him as a family dog since a puppy. He’s getting old and lazy. Maui has not been trained but can follow simple commands when he wants. He is old and stubborn. Over the last 2 years we have gotten a golden retriever and they get along great. Recently over the last year we have also moved twice. The last move we had a fenced backyard and his barking at walkers and traffic has gotten worse and on walks gets territorial to other pets on leashes. We noticed this shift in behavior after getting our female retriever. I marked unknown on behavior towards other animals as recently he got out and was aggressive towards a puppy that was walking with its owner. No harm was done as I was able to get him back inside but that was the last straw with us. Generally he just sleeps all day and is a kind dog. He’s just getting old and stubborn and we don’t want to put down. He’s always been good with kids (we have 3 that always have friends around)

Story
Rugar would do best as the only dog in the home. He does have a chicken allergy as well. He does not do well with young children who do not understand dog boundaries. Children over 10 years and older would be best in Rugar's case. He is a super sweet boy though and very smart! He does know how to sit and shake! April 25, 2026, 1:56 pm
