Story
Meet Huck – Master of the Backyard Zoomies! -About 3 years old -No kiddos, please -Needs a 6ft+ fence (trust us on this one) -Dog-friendly -Super smart & full of love -Possibly cat-curious, we’re not sure yet Huck is around 3 years old and has a big personality packed into a handsome, zoomie-loving body. When it’s time to go outside? Huck is READY. Tail wagging, eyes sparkling, let’s-go-let’s-go READY. He’ll need a yard with a tall, secure fence (6ft or more!) because this boy is part athlete, part adventurer, and 100% pure joy when he’s outside. Inside? Total house dog vibes. He’s smart, well-mannered, and loves nothing more than chilling with his favorite humans. No little kids for Huck — he prefers a calmer, more predictable home where he can relax and shine. He gets along well with other dogs and might do fine with the right doggie buddy! Not sure how he feels about cats, but we’re happy to explore that if needed. So if you’re into backyard adventures, snuggle sessions, and sharing life with a loyal, goofy, super-smart best friend — Huck is your guy. Come meet him and fall in love

Story
Lucy is a gentle, 2–3-year-old sweetheart with a resilient spirit. Once a scared stray who spent weeks quietly keeping her distance, she finally trusted a kind Samaritan enough to accept help—and she’s been blossoming ever since. Though a little shy at first, Lucy quickly comes out of her shell with patience and kindness. She absolutely loves the company of other dogs, and their confidence helps her shine even brighter. She’s also wonderfully polite with cats, making her a great fit for a multi-pet home. Lucy’s soft demeanor, sweet nature, and growing confidence make her a truly special companion. She’s ready for a loving home where she can feel safe, cherished, and part of the family she’s always deserved.

Story
Meet Axel, our lovable 3-year-old sweetheart! He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s all tail wags and smiles. Axel adores people and soaks up every bit of attention—he may even jump for love, but we’re helping him learn his manners! He enjoys playing outside with his buddy Caesar, who came from the same home, and he’s all about toys and treats. Axel lived with kids previously and has done well, though we’re still unsure about cats. He’s a wonderful dog with so much love to give—Axel is ready for his forever family!

Story
Meet Huey! Huey is a 7-year-old shepherd mix who is cute as can be and truly a people-lover. This sweet, gentle boy adores everyone he meets and is happiest when he’s right by his humans’ side. Whether you’re relaxing inside or hanging out outdoors, Huey just wants to be nearby. He also enjoys having his own time outside, especially when he’s playing fetch or entertaining himself with his favorite toys. Huey is smart, calm, and very gentle—an all-around good boy. He generally gets along well with other dogs, but he prefers that toys be kept separate, as he can be protective of them. (No toy sharing = no problem!) We’re unsure how Huey feels about cats, but with his sweet nature and loving personality, he’s sure to make a wonderful companion for the right home. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and intelligent dog to add to your family, Huey might be your guy.

Story
Meet King – A Special Soul with So Much Love to Give King has been through more than his fair share since arriving at our shelter. After a series of tests, we discovered that King has a rare congenital condition called atresia ani—a narrowing of the anus that makes it difficult and uncomfortable for him to defecate. Because of this, King requires a home where he can be taken outside every 3–4 hours and receive daily medication along with a special diet to help manage his condition and keep him comfortable. On top of his medical needs, King prefers to be the only pet in the home—he's not a fan of other dogs, cats, or young children. But don’t let that fool you—King is full of love, personality, and playful energy. He adores deflated soccer balls and loves to run around proudly carrying them in his mouth. When he’s done playing, he’s just as happy to curl up beside you for snuggles and soak in all the affection you have to offer. King would thrive in a quiet, stable home—maybe with a retired couple or someone who’s home most of the day and has the heart and patience to care for a truly special boy. He’s been overlooked for far too long, but we know the right person is out there. Could you be the one to give King the love and comfort he so deeply deserves
