Story
Meet Cesar! Brains? Check. Personality? Double check. Impulse control? …we’re working on it. Cesar is a smart, athletic guy who’s basically the canine version of that kid in class who finished the test early and then started a small fire out of boredom. This boy has smarts AND energy. Cesar believes chew toys are a suggestion, not a rule—why chew one toy when you can chew everything? He’s got a doggy door and uses it like a VIP pass to bring everything outside. And yes, he’s been known to treat the neighborhood like his personal parkour course if the gate isn’t Fort Knox secure. Cesar would thrive with an active, patient human [with a good sense of humor] who can give him structure, exercise, and plenty of mental stimulation!! If you love a dog with spirit and smarts, Poindexter might just be your perfect match!

Story
Meet Ace Ace is a medium-energy pup who keeps his kennel clean, suggesting he's likely housebroken or a quick learner when it comes to house training. We think he's about 2 years old. He's good with most other dogs and is sweet and affectionate. Ace is still fairly new to us, so we're learning more about him every day, but one thing's for sure: he's a real charmer with a face that will melt your heart.

Story
Meet Scout. Our very first Grateful Dog. Scout is a 3 yr old, 49 lb Lab mix who loves people and other dogs. Scout is being fostered with children ages 2 – 15 and 2 dogs. Scout has been incredibly gentle with toddlers he has been around. Scout has gone with his foster family to the dog park where he is a very social boy and plays well with any dog he has encountered. Basically we think if a dog likes Scout, he will like it right back. Scout is a medium energy dog. He likes to play with his foster dog siblings, then he is ready to chill on the couch and hang out. Scout is definitely a snuggler! Scout has not shown himself to be a barker. Overall, he is a quiet, chill dog who likes to have a good burst of play each day then he’s happy lazing around. Scout is 98% Housetrained & is Crate trained. Scout has been crated while in foster and does well with a large wire crate; he does not like the more enclosed hard sided crates. Scout has been working on leash training and basic manners such as not jumping up when he is excited to see someone. Scout has a sponsored training package with Link Up Dog Training that goes with him upon adoption so he & his new human or new family can continue to learn together. Scout wants to be the bestest boy!

Story
Gator came to us from a less than desirable situation. He is a blind pup with so much love to give. He is currently in a foster home with big sis Mia. She is a German Shepherd that has shown this sweet puppy the ropes. We are going to require at least one other dog in the household that he can bond with. He loves others dogs. He does not let his disability get in his way at all. Although he’s not the most fond of being crated right now, that’s probably something you could work towards if wanted. He is fully vetted and is started on flea/tick/HW preventative. Gator is a rambunctious puppy that absolutely loves life and loves love. Are you ready to give him a chance?

Story
Daisy was adopted and after a couple months, they returned her. It is bittersweet that she came back. Daisy is a sweet girl, but after a little time to decompress in her new home we learned that she may be best in a home with older children and NO CATS (she isn't a fan of them).
