Story
Hi there, I'm Sirius, a resilient pup with a story to tell! I found my way to CAHS when my previous owner couldn't care for me anymore. Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about this new environment, but the wonderful staff here has been incredibly patient and caring, helping me rebuild my trust. Despite the huge progress I have made with the CAHS staff ,I am still very untrusting of new people and new environments. Men also make me very nervous, so I am not sure how I would feel living with them, especially at first. To ensure my continued success, I would thrive in a calm home environment without children, or too many people. I will require multiple meet and greets to gain my trust. With a bit of understanding and patience, I'm sure to become the loyal and loving companion you've been searching for! As I've settled in and realized I'm in a safe place, my true personality has shone through. I'm a big, goofy boy who delights in running and playing. Despite my size, I firmly believe I'm a lap dog and enjoy snuggling up with my favorite people.

Story
Greetings, I'm Rusty! I traveled all the way from Mississippi in search of a new beginning. I may seem nervous at first, but deep down, I have a heart of gold. All I truly desire is to learn to trust the wonderful people around me and unleash the lovebug within. I'd thrive in a home with another confident yet gentle older dog to show me the ropes, but I'd prefer a calm environment with adults only as I work on building my confidence. With patience and love, I'm sure to blossom into the affectionate companion you've been dreaming of.

Story
Hi there, I'm Savannah, but you can call me Savvy! I found my way to CAHS when things didn't quite click with the new dog at home. Don't let that worry you though, because I'm a smart cookie! Already housebroken and well-versed in basic commands, I'm eager to show off my skills. I'm a people-lover through and through and have experience with kids aged 8 and older. While I might need a bit of time adjusting to other furry pals, with some training and patience, I could potentially be open to making new doggie friends!

Story
Hello, meet Kobe, the charming beagle with a heart as big as his personality! Hi, I'm Kobe, a delightful little beagle bursting with character! While I adore people, I have a bit of a stubborn streak and prefer things on my terms. Don't worry, I'll make it clear when I'm not in the mood. I have a special affinity for toys and sticks and won't hesitate to bring them to you when I'm in the mood for playtime. A cozy spot on the couch or bed is a must for me! Having experienced a bit of instability in my past, I'm seeking a family with Beagle or Hound experience who can provide the stability and understanding I need. I take my role as a guard dog seriously and will alert you to any potential threats in the yard - your house is in safe paws with me! While I'm an excellent communicator, dogs and kids can be a bit overwhelming for me, so a home without them would be ideal. As for cats, they're just too much fun for me to resist, so it's best if I don't share a home with them. Consider enrolling us in training classes - I'm a quick learner, and it would be beneficial for both of us. Let's make lasting memories together - could you be the one to give me the loving forever home I've been waiting for?

Story
Butler came to us after his owners recognized he was no longer a good fit for them. He has a lot of energy and a HUGE personality. He's fun to work with, goofy, and has shown he can socialize, with supervision, with other dogs. He should be the only dog in the home, as he will need structure and consistent training to thrive. He's had great success in a home setting with a trainer, living among a pack of dogs. He is e-collar trained, housebroken, crate trained, does excellent in a home setting, and has great leash skills. He will be a wonderful companion in the right home and has the potential to be a wonderful canine companion with structure and leadership. Butler has the potential to be a wonderful adventure buddy, but experience with powerful breeds is an absolute must. Butler does have some behavioral complications and will need strong and reasonable leadership. His trainer and handler can discuss this in detail with any interested party. With a lack of structure, he can begin to take advantage of handlers in the home. Starting off on the right foot is very important to Butler's success, and his trainer would be happy to do follow-ups to make sure he is successful long-term. We are looking for a handler who is ready for his high energy, but very trainable, personality. Please call Pet Rendezvous at 603-447-3435 to book a phone call with Emilie Swett, his trainer and foster, if you have any questions.

Story
Hello there, I'm Gunner! I found my way to CAHS when my previous family was no longer able to care for me. I'm a big, lovable hound who craves affection. I'm hoping to find a forever home with an active family that has a spacious yard for me to stretch my legs - after all, being a hound, I've got plenty of energy to burn. I am unfortunately not able to go home with other pets due to my high energy, and prey drive. It's important to note that due to my size and energy level, having a fenced-in yard would be a great benefit for me, ensuring I have a secure space to play and explore. If you're ready for a big, goofy companion who loves to run and play, I could be the perfect fit for your family. Let's embark on this journey together!
