Story
Meet Finn!  Finn is a goofy, higher-energy guy who absolutely adores people and lives for attention. He’s a total lovebug with adults but is still learning how to interact appropriately—no small kids for this guy, as he tends to get overly excited and may nip during play. It’s never mean-spirited, but he just doesn’t know his own strength or boundaries. Finn struggles with anxiety in the shelter and spends much of his time licking his kennel walls. He’s currently on medication (trazodone) to help manage his stress, but what he really needs is a stable, loving home to help him decompress. Despite his quirks and anxious habits, Finn is a go-with-the-flow kind of dog once he feels safe. He does okay with most dogs, though he can be a little selective, and he is definitely not a fan of cats—he will chase them without hesitation. Speaking of chasing, Finn also has a strong urge to chase cars, so a fenced-in yard is a must to keep him safe. There’s not a ton going on upstairs for this silly boy—but we love him for it. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a few goofy habits and a whole lot of heart, Finn just might be your perfect match. Finn is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Story
Meet Twinkie – A Sweet Treat of a Pup! Twinkie is just as sweet as her name! This darling girl is full of love and puppy charm. She’s still learning about the world but is already winning hearts with her gentle nature and joyful spirit. Twinkie loves her toys and is always ready for a good play session. Mealtime is her favorite—especially if wet food or treats are involved! She’s also starting to get the hang of leash walking and is doing great with a little patience and encouragement. If adopted before her next vet appointment, Twinkie will still need her rabies vaccine, but she's otherwise on track and thriving. She’s looking for a loving home where she can keep learning, playing, and being her sweet, silly self. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a heart of gold, Twinkie is your girl! All of our dogs, including Twinkie, are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

Story
Meet Parker, a charming senior dog with a youthful spirit! Though he’s in his golden years, Parker is full of energy and enjoys staying active. He thrives best in a calm home, either with an older, laid-back dog or as the only pet, where he can get all the attention he deserves. Parker loves people of all ages and is sure to make a loving companion for any family. He’s a clean boy, always keeping his kennel tidy. However, Parker doesn’t enjoy being left alone and can be vocal when he’s feeling lonely. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate dog with a bit of a spunky personality, Parker might just be the perfect match! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Parker's adoption fee has been sponsored with approved application

Story
Meet Shadow! Shadow is a resilient soul who’s come a long way from a past of abuse and neglect. Understandably, he’s still learning how to trust, and he’ll need a patient, experienced adopter who’s willing to go at his pace. Shadow is especially wary of men and would do best in a calm, adult-only home where he can feel safe and supported. Once he warms up, Shadow proves to be a loyal and protective companion. He’s great on a leash, handles baths just fine, and gets along well with both cats and other dogs. Shadow is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. With time, love, and stability, he has the potential to blossom into an incredibly devoted best friend. If you’re looking for a gentle soul to nurture and grow with, Shadow may be your perfect match.

Story
Meet River! River is a handsome boy with a playful side and a strong personality. He absolutely loves playing ball and knows a few basic commands like “sit,” “shake,” and “down.” He does okay on a leash and enjoys spending time with people he trusts. River previously lived with a smaller dog but would thrive best as the only pet in the home. He has a strong prey drive and will chase cats, so a feline-free home is a must. Due to his tendency to get overstimulated and his unpredictable behavior in new situations, River is not a good fit for homes with small children. River is currently taking Trazodone to help with anxiety and transitions. Any potential adopters should be prepared to continue with his medication or work with a vet to transition him to Fluoxetine if needed. With patience, structure, and understanding, River has the potential to be a loyal companion. He’ll do best with an experienced adopter who can give him the stability and support he needs to succeed.

Story
Meet  Sage! Sage is a charming senior gentleman who came to us from our friends at Branch County Animal Control. He’s got a signature move—dropping the ball right into your lap to politely insist you throw it again (and again). Don’t let his age fool you: this golden‐aged goof still has plenty of pep for fetch sessions and joy rides! Treats are Sage’s love language, which makes him easy (and fun) to train—though he’ll happily use those puppy‑dog eyes to score an extra biscuit or two. He can be pushy with other dogs, so he’d do best as the only dog or with a calm, tolerant canine companion who gives him space. A laid‑back cat who’s comfortable around dogs should be fine; he’s respectful if they’re not reactive. Because Sage sometimes forgets his size and enthusiasm, we’re looking for a home with adults or older teens rather than young children—somewhere mellow where he can enjoy his golden years without little ones underfoot. Sage is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative—ready to fill an adults‑only (or older‑kids) household with loyal companionship, slobbery tennis balls, and endless love. If you’re searching for a fun‑loving senior who still has plenty of zoom left, Sage is your guy!
